We had a lovely time in Haw Creek. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely and Janet and her family are wonderful hosts. We loved watching the many birds and wildlife around us.

Highly recommend! This is a comfy, peaceful place and well worth the price. We plan to come back and stay again someday. Location is convenient, yet off the beaten path, so you feel like you are in the wilderness. We saw a mama bear and her 2 cubs near the house below ours - so cute - but we are glad they didn't show any interest in us!

The bed we slept in was clean and comfortable. The location is close to downtown Asheville but feels secluded and rural. Saw bears!! I only did the 4 stars in some categories to let the owner know they may want to speak with their cleaners. It wasn’t a big deal, but most of the corners were full of cobwebs and the bathroom needed a quick touch up with my disinfectant wipes, but we would definitely stay again!

Great Girls Trip!

Stayed here 3 nights during our girls trip to The Biltmore Estate that included my 88 year old mom and my 28 yr old daughter. Perfect little cozy cottage that was easy to find via gps. Host was quick to respond. We would stay here again!

Wonderful Stay!

My family and I loved this charming cabin for a quick weekend getaway. Janet was very helpful with any questions or issues we had during our stay. The cabin is just an 8-10 minute drive from downtown Asheville. If I ever return to Asheville, I will definitely rebook with Janet.

Ideal Stay

Wonderful place to stay! Centrally located to multille different hikes ans an easy drive to downtown Asheville. The cottage was cozy with all of the amenities needed for a great stay. The best part by far though was the wild life. Being able to show our child siting of turkeys and black bears was an amazing experience. Thank you!

Quiet retreat

The house was comfortable and cozy. The beds were nice and the from porch offered a beautiful view. It's conveniently close to downtown. The one detractor is that the driveway is a little tricky to handle.

Less than a couple of miles from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place feels like it is deep in the heart of the mountains. It's a quiet retreat among nature's beauty. The owner has done a great job of providing the necessary amenities. Parking is a bit challenging, as the property is carved into the side of a mountain, but we managed to do so with an Expedition XL, so it's manageable. We would definitely stay here again!

Quick Mountain Trip

We loved our visit to the cabin! It was nice and cozy! We saw a momma bear with her 5 cubs. It was nice and peaceful! Can’t wait to go back! I will say be mindful of the ceiling fan. They hang low and were on the taller side so we hit our head a few times when getting used to the space!

Mostly satisfied

Driveway was tricky and tight. Only 2 coffe pods provided for 2 people, 3 days. Very slow to get hot water in shower and never did get it at sinks. Beds very comfortable as well as furniture. Good supply of dishes, pots and pans, soaps. Clean.

Cottage #2

The cottage is in a neighborhood, while not really secluded, the neighborhood was quiet and well kept. Our favorite part was seeing the Momma bear and 4 cubs for much of the day and night on Saturday. Our plan was to hike during the day and eat out at night. The cottage is very close to Tunnel rd so there is easy access to downtown Asheville as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway. Easy communication with Marjorie the day our rental began.

Bear Bonanza

Second time we've stayed in the cottage during the summer. So fun to see the bears daily. We saw a mother and five cubs a couple of times. One evening they were 30 yards away from the porch and stayed for more than 30 minutes. The cottage is small and cozy. Kitchen could be better equipped. One bedroom door didn't close fully and the bathroom door and other bedroom door aren't balanced properly so they swing open noisily or close constantly. A bit annoying but we'd stay there again for the bears!

Great mountain Home

We enjoyed our visit at this quiet cottage! It’s quaint, comfortable and our host, Janet, was always quick to respond, friendlyand helpful. It’s very accessible to highways, the BlueRidge Parkway and sites around the Ashville area. Sitting out on the front porch was an added bonus. We saw huge turkeys and a mom a bear and her two cubs strolling across the yard! Loved being in nature here!

Amazing views!!

We really enjoyed our stay. So peaceful, and wonderful views. The bears were exciting! They live in the mountains, so I wasn't surprised to see them. The owner was very responsive to whatever we needed. Steep road up and steep driveway down to the cottage made it even more fun! We relaxed and enjoyed our stay. LOTS to do within a few miles in Asheville, if that's your thing.

Comfortable and quiet

The cottage was in a very quiet area, about 10-15 minutes from everything (Biltmore, downtown). We sat on the porch and watched a mother bear and 2 cubs one day! Bed was comfortable. One thing to note is you need to bring charcoal and a lighter to use the large grill. We would like to return.
