Overview: 17 Dove is a small 2-bedroom home just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. The home features a fenced in yard and stellar views. The hot tub is no longer operational and will be removed on 11/10. We are weighing our options on purchasing a new one. Your also just 5 minutes from Haywood St in West Asheville and 30 minutes from great hiking. The home is small, but spacious and stylish with anything you may need for a relaxing vacation. Dogs under 30lbs are welcomed with an additional $50 fee per pet.
Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire 1.2 acres and entire home. The property is half wooded and half open lawn.
Interaction With Guests: We typically do not meet guests but are always available by phone.
Other Details: The property is right next to a horse pasture which houses 5-7 horses. Theyâre not our horses to interact with, but in our experience theyâre friendly.
Neighborhood Description: The home sits atop a small hill on a gravel road. There are several houses on the gravel road including 17 Dove. The home is generally secluded from the other residents on the road.
Getting Around: Guests will need a vehicle to access the property. We do not advise walking anywhere from the home as the roads are busy without sidewalks.
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay in the home. We loved all the live indoor plants and the overall vibe of the place! It was close to all of the activities we had planned in Asheville.
All went perfectly. Loved being able to bring our pups to a fenced in yard. The house was clean and convenient to the Biltmore. I would stay there again
The land was absolutely beautiful and I was lovely to sit outside while our daughter napped and relax. The home was nice and simple, exactly what we were looking for in our stay.
Home was just as described and was the perfect location for our weekend visit to Asheville where we were in town for a wedding. Owner was communicative and helpful and property was also great for our dog.
My friend and I totally enjoyed our stay there. Especially the cleanliness and the privacy. The deck overlooking the backyard, which was lovely for any pups that get to stay there, and also it he view of the mountains was incredible. The bedrooms were spacious and had adequate storage spaces, kitchen was fairly well equipped. We were a little confused at trying to get the door keys out of the lock box. Directions said something about a red button that we couldnât find. But we eventually figured it out. Would definitely come back.
Please read the fine print. I reserved this home because of the hot tub, I missed the comment that said it wasnât operational until October. The house was cute and convenient just really disappointed about the hot tub.
The check in process went smoothly. The home was well equipped for what we needed. The dog enjoyed the fenced in yard. A cozy house in the country close to downtown. We recommend this home!
It was very easy to find the property and check in. The setting was lovely, very quiet and serene. The home all of the basics we needed for a short stay. I was a little dismayed at a musty smell when we walked in, though not uncommon in older homes and the climate in July is pretty steamy. The individual AC units worked fairly well, but had to run almost constantly. The doors to the bedrooms were sticky, sometimes challenging to open and close. I consider those minor details. My main issue was that one of the bedrooms was infested with fleas. I love that the home is pet friendly (we didnât bring any pets) but that requires a certain level of cleaning after each stay involving an animal. It took me a couple of days to figure out what was going on (mosquitoes? Chiggers? Bed bugs??) so I sent a message the last day to which I received no reply. For that reason, I would not book here again. Things go awry, I understand that - but it is my expectation that if there is a real problem with the property, it will be acknowledged and addressed.
This house was exactly what we needed. Our pup loved the fenced in yard. The hot tub is well maintained, and exactly what we needed after a day of exploring. The house was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. It was located so close to everything we needed.
The house was exactly what we needed for a quick get away. Very clean, great communication. Great location to get to West Asheville and downtown. The outdoor space really made the stay special too.
enjoyed being away from "Sounds of the city" yet close to everything we needed and wanted to do. The fenced in yard was nice for our little Yorkie who doesn't get out too much without a leash. Would definitely book this property again.
Beautiful location in West Asheville with large yard for my daughter to play outside. Beds were comfy and the TV had lots of online choices for the whole family. We enjoyed preparing meals while watching the wildlife outside the kitchen window. Eating and entertaining on the porch was quiet and relaxing. Great stay and I hope to be back in the future.
