The house is very clean, cozy and nice. Easy to access to public transportation. The owner was kind and answer all my questions. We communicate in Spanish so don't worry about the language. A perfect place to explore Chicago
Norma, the host was very friendly & helpful when we arrived. Definitely a small studio, but worked well for my niece and I. Reasonably priced & great location, just a mile away from family we were visiting.
-overwhelmingly bad urine smell throughout unit-no communication with host Raj despite multiple attempts.-large and noisy A/C unit only in bedroom. Kitchen is very hot. In middle of day, bedroom is hot too-missing lightbulbs, dark and unsafe hallway-entry at side of building is dark at night-uneven stairs-poor/unfinished construction within unit-allergens within unit-good location with "88" bus and Blue Line train
I stayed for 2 months at this property and could not have asked for a better VRBO experience. The place felt clean, safe, cozy, and homey. The property manager was available for questions or any needs but was never intrusive. I felt like I had privacy and all of the things I needed for a long term stay. 10 out of 10, would visit again. I'm so grateful for my experience here.
Thank you!
Very nice little spot..neighborhood extremely quiet and nice. Cute liitle neighborhood bar 2 doors down and Joes restaurant (highly recommend) a few blocks down. Place was perfect for i would say no more than 2 people 3 tops. It was very clean and had everything u could want or need. Only really 2 things i found to be a slight problem not a deal breaker but just saying...it was a little warm if u went out of "liviing room" and there was no light above the stairs inside the unit. Would definitely stay here again.
evereverything u could possibly need.
The stay was okay. The listing was misleading. Five people maximum is a stretch. There were only three beds and only one was a full. The other two were twins. The bathroom had a strange smell from the carpet. More pictures for the listing would have been useful to give a realistic scale of the size of the unit. Otherwise, the stay was okay. If youâre looking for cheap and good location, this place is right for you.
Great home base to explore Chicago from with your partner, or just lounge on the couch and watch movies together. Convenient, safe street parking. A pleasant walk through a nice area to get to a subway station. All the essential kitchenware to cook up a brunch or romantic dinner.
Property looked nice, however we booked for 2 days but apparently there was a glitch in the system, and the property can only be booked for a 7 night minimum, which would not have been a problem, however I contacted the owner nearly a month ago to confirm the location, and I received no response, which could have been the time to inform me that there was a mistake. It wasnât until we arrived to the unclean property and we asked for someone to switch things out for us that they informed us of the issue, and we had to book another stay last minute.
The property was as portrayed in the listing. It is tiny but I was alone so it worked well for me.
Pros:
There is a pizza place across the street and a bar next door.
The bed was super comfy!
Cons:
It was warm when I arrived and I learned that one person has control of the thermostat and itâs kept at a specific temperature. It took a while to cool down that first night so Iâm not sure how comfortable it would be in the heart of summer.
The other issue occurred when I used the stove. I only cooked on my last day and hadnât noticed there was no vent over the stove. My burger set off the smoke detector twice while I was cooking.
Overall though I would stay there again. I just wouldnât use the stove.
The property is cozy and generally worked well for us. The kitchen has the essentials and the bed was comfortable enough. It is ok for 2 or 3 people max. Parking was ok and the bus stop is a block away (either direction). The main issue was with the central A/C. It is controlled remotely by the owner and affects the whole building. The challenge is the condo is up a few stairs and is on the west side. It was much warmer than other parts of the building apparently and was uncomfortably warm a few times. The ceiling fan was helpful but didn't mitigate the heat much. The washer/dryer are only available from about 12-4 and are coin operated. Not helpful when you are out touring all day.
Nice stay. Communication with the property owners was nice and easy. We had an issue and they resolved it. However saying that more than 3 people could stay in that apartment is a stretch. We had 4 people, the pull out mattress was just a very thin mattress pad so my friend ended on sleeping on the floor. Good stay for 3 people, 4 was very crowded and I do not recommend 5 people in there. Quiet neighborhood.
We were visiting family in the area and enjoyed staying here. The remodeled studio makes good use of limited space. It has a comfortable full size bed and tasteful new furnishings. TV and WIFI worked well. Free parking appreciated. Owner was kind and responsive. We recommend.
