The house was well equipped with bikes in the garage, a hot tub, and a nice selection of dishes, bowls, silverware in the kitchen. There were PLENTY of Sharc passes! The Vacasa staff who clean the kitchen and bathrooms, change the beds and vacuum did a nice job. The house overall was dirty and worn, with food (or something) on the walls, the dining table wood coming off, the screens and window/door tracks filthy, the corners of the walls, baseboards and trim is heavily scarred/damaged/scratched and the throw pillows needed to be thrown away. When we arrived, I would describe the house as "sticky". Even the information book had laminated pages that were all stuck together. I cleaned up as much as I could...not a great way to start a vacation. The beds were hard, except for the master which was VERY soft. They did have a nice selection of bikes. They were right next to the North Store which was handy. And...it's Sunriver, so the setting is beautiful. The deck was a good size, and they had a new outdoor table. We traveled with family, so there were two other houses we could go to and hang out. I would not stay there again, but I will continue to go to Sunriver yearly.
The stay was nice, but there were some things that could use some work. The beds⊠all of us complained about our beds. Blankets seem light, beds upstairs are firm in all the wrong ways and the bed downstairs feels soft and no support. Usually we woke up early in discomfort and got out of bed. The couch is comfortable though. Hot tub was really heavy in chlorine and most of the jets donât work. Plus the hot tub cover is coming apart and lots of little floaters in the water. We only used it once. It wasnât inviting. Those were the two main things and there were quite a few little things. It mostly felt like it was a rental and just lacked that personal touch weâve come to enjoy with most vacation rentals.
Not a bad house but could use a good cleaning and a few updates. One bed looked like it was not changed, as it had crumbs and hair in the sheets. The garage is filthy and the bikes need some repairs (seats are broken and handle bars are missing ends and are bent). The entry way window had large cobwebs. The oven is also problematic, as the knobs on the cooktop get fiery hot when using the oven, and they are also very sensitive (we used the towel on the bar and put it back, and it started the flow of gas to spark the burner) so if you smell gas, be sure to check the knobs. The Sharc passes were great and the house has potebtual .
House was roomy for 5 adults. Beautiful patio area.
Kitchen could have been stocked with updates appliances and a few more items if you have a longer stay but overall did have things we used
Our stay was amazing! After a 13-hour drive, being able to check in early was a fantastic start to our trip. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated using the pots and pans provided. We also took advantage of the SHARC facilities, which made our stay even better. The home was comfortable and a great place for our family to relax.
However, the only downside was the television situation. It could use some improvement, but aside from that, everything else was great. My kids especially enjoyed the foosball table and had a blast! One suggestion would be to add an outdoor light for the jacuzzi, as it was difficult to use in the dark at night.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend this home to others!
We loved the home for our family long weekend trip. It was very comfortable for three families and had all the amenities needed to make it a memorable trip.
The house and location were perfect! We would stay here again. Just a couple things, there was an old beer bottle left in one of the closets and a child found it. Also, the staples in the kitchen are pretty minimal. We had a great time.
This is a very honest review that is not intended to criticize the owners. This is simply our experience. We have stayed in several rentals through VRBO and other vacation rentals.
The following is a partial list of issues we compiled while staying in the home:
- [ ] Ice on inside of windows (clearly not well insulated)
- [ ] Rain leaking through sliding glass door
- [ ] Mattresses hard as rock. The entire family could not sleep and tossed/turned all night
- [ ] Fireplace tools broken/damaged
- [ ] Kitchen utensils/tools/pots and pans in poor condition
- [ ] DVD player with no HDMI cord
- [ ] Internet would not load or stream. It was only 5mbs (our neighbors was 300mbs). (We reset the router as directed by owners and still had the same issue). We literally could not use Wi-Fi
- [ ] Carpet/ furniture was dirty with dust everywhere and cobwebs
- [ ] Lack of standard kitchen products (spices/zip lock bags, tin foil, Tupperware, saranwrap, etc.)
- [ ] Several light bulbs were burnt out and other flickering
- [ ] Some dishes were stained with paint and dirty with lip stick marks
- [ ] No extra sheets for futon
- [ ] No dryer sheets
- [ ] No hand soap (only little bars of dove soap at each sink. Including kitchen)
We literally had to buy like general household essentials in order to function within the home.
The house needs some serious updates and replacement of standard items. It seems like the owner does not put care into the home and tries to rent it out as is. Our neighbors home was extremely well taken care of and fully stocked for visitors.
This home is not homey and just generally dingy, uncomfortable, and not tended to, especially considering the price is comparable to other nice homes that our family members stayed at in same cul-de-sac. The photos make the floor plan look a lot more open than it actually is. It was pretty tight for our family (6 adults and 2 kids).
This home as the potential to be a cozy vacation home if it was adequately tended to, cleaned, updated, and stocked with home essentials and functioning products/tools. Very overpriced for what you actually get.
The house was well stocked. But you should know that there are four bedroom each with a queen bed, the futon is in an open loft area. Be aware that Vacasa manages this property so not always helpful with info about the house. They charge a cleaning fee for the hot tub whether or not you use it. Early check in provided as requested but too late to actually be able to do it.
This house was perfect for our group of four women coming in from different locations. The living/dining area was great for meals and gathering for games/puzzles. The fact that each bedroom had a sink and counter was very helpful.
The location was a bit far from central Sunriver but at the same time there was plenty to see and do and it was a quick drive to sites near Bend.
The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, and cooking equipment.
I would definitely stay here again with family and/or friends.
