The Ferry Boat House lives up to its name. We loved watching the ferries go by and watch the water change colors throughout the day. The household items fulfill every need to enjoy making meals, enjoy the beautiful deck and yard, and relax in the house. The Uptown neighborhood is ideal to just park your car and walk everywhere in Port Townsend. We hope to return again.
Return long term stay while attending a class at the woodworking school
The house is a perfect place to stay in Port Townsend. Short walk to downtown, and a 40 min walk to the Fort. House is clean and well appointed with great views. Highly recommend.
Very quiet, comfortable well located house. Walking distance to everything. House was clean, well furnished and equipped, and hosts helpful and well organized.
This was our second year staying in the Ferryboat House. The location is perfect for walking to the weekly farmer's market, downtown shops and the beach. The large kitchen and open floor plan are perfect for cooking meals and having family gatherings. We cannot wait to stay here again next year again!
The house had a beautifully remodeled kitchen and was in a perfect location for our stay, just a block from the farmer's market and local grocery store, a short walk to downtown and the beach.
Lovely Victorian house in the historic district steps away from the Rose Theatre (including 139 stair steps if you take the shortcut). Well appointed and equipped. We would stay here again.
My stay at the Ferryboat House made my visit to Port Townsend a dream come true. The location is fantastic between Uptown and Downtown, the kitchen is well supplied, and all the rooms are super comfortable. Teri is superb host, responding to any question in a timely fashion. I especially enjoyed morning coffee with the view of the sound on the back deck. Iâm looking ahead to my next visit already!
My husband and I enjoyed a month in this comfortable and amenity-filled house which also is in an ideal location to experience all that Port Townsend has to offer. The house is very comfortable and offers prime views of the sound from several windows. I greatly enjoyed sitting on the deck reading or just watching the sailboats and the ferry sail by. The house contains everything you could want, from a kitchen with every appliance and utensil you could need to loads of towels and comfortable beds. The stairs to the upper floor are a little steep (if youâre unsteady on your feet) but we had no problem with it. We slept in the downstairs bedroom which was just perfect. The house is located three blocks above the waterfront and the downtown area with restaurants and shops and access to bicycling paths and sailboat tours. Teri was quick to respond to a couple questions. We definitely recommend this house and will book it again if we return to the area.
Everything is wonderful about FerryHouse. Terri is wonderfully responsive. The house is wonderfully appointed and situated and on and on. We will be returning.
My husband and I were thrilled to be able to spend a month in Port Townsend at the Ferry Boat House!
Ferry Boat House has an excellent uptown location close to the steps to downtown, farmer's market on Saturdays, as well as fun parks and shopping. Aside from trips to the Olympic National Park and other state parks nearby, we didn't really have much need of a car.
Teri and Bill have updated the house for comfort and functionality, including a well-stocked kitchen with nearly every gadget you could possibly need. The living areas are quite open and bright, with lots of room to spread out, and the bedrooms/bathrooms were a good configuration for guests. The house itself is well insulated for sound and the occasional "heatwave," and has excellent wifi for those working remotely during their stay. Don't be surprised if you see some of the resident deer in the yard!
We would happily return to Ferry Boat House on future trips and highly recommend for couples and families. Thanks, Teri and Bill!! :)
Clean. Well equipped. Lovely setting to connect with family. Walks in the neighborhood and to town with great views. Enjoyed our sunrise and moonlit sky during the visit. Hit all the right notes and wonderful owners!
The ferryboat house is a great location to walk around Port Townsend. Itâs warm, cozy, and very clean. The kitchen is so well equipped, thank you Teri and Bill. This is a great place to stay in Port Townsend.
From start to finish, we had a terrific stay in Port Townsend and this lovely home was a great place to base ourselves for easy access to town services and coastal recreation. The hosts made us feel very welcome. The house was super clean and very comfortable. There is a wonderful kitchen with plenty of space for cooking and communing when youâre not distracted by the views of the Ferryboat traffic from the breakfast table or outdoor deck. Restaurants and shopping are an easy walk. Donât miss the Farmers Market on Saturdays, just a three minute walk away.
We waited i would guess around 18 months or more to get to this property , we had to cancel in 2020 , virus, but 2021 we finally got our vacation in. Well worth the wait. Everything was laid out for easy understanding for use of everything the home provided. I think we contact homeowner once in the month long stay. They were quick to respond. 5 min walk into town , Sat. farmers market 5 min walk, Beautiful town. lots to do surrounding area. Great experience
Our college-aged family of 4 fit perfectly in this sweet and updated Victorian home in the middle of uptown Port Townsend. Lots of storage and amenities for long stays. Teri and Bill were extremely helpful when needed and made sure we had everything we needed for our 3 month stay over the holidays (even holiday decorations!) We were greeted with coffee, wine and a turkey roasting pan. We fell in love with the view, kitchen and the family sharing spaces. Note: The stairs are steep and short, as most hundred year old homes, but if you are careful, it works out fine to get to the 2 extra bedrooms and 1/2 bath upstairs.
Two were able to work/Zoom at the same time with the internet system. And during Covid, it was wonderful to be in such a CLEAN home!
Thank you Teri and Bill!!! We all will miss our little holiday home and hope to visit one day again!
The house couldn't be better for enjoying all PT has to offer. The kitchen has everything you would ever need. Love the breakfast table in the sunny corner. The owner provides all the amenities to make it easy to move in and enjoy the town. We will be back.
The house is a vintage home blocks away from from town and the farmer's market. We so much stay.
Teri was so helpful and we did all the activities around Port Townsend, farmer's markets, art fairs and Christmas events. The house is very comfortable and cozy, I especially enjoyed the views of the bay from the deck. Hope to stay there again.
This is my 4th stay at Ferryboat House. The house is the same, easy to live in, a happy place. Owners are thoughtful and it is well equipped if a bit like every vacation place, full of random kitchen wares and a cacophony of linens. Furnace and equipment in good working order. The garden a bit overgrown but beautiful w/dandilions trimmed by friendly local deer. In a great location walking distance to Uptown shops and weekly Farmers Market as well as Downtown tourist shops, good eateries and a fabulous old time movie theater, the Rose.
This is an ideal location in Uptown Port Townsend. The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped for an extended stay. The rooms are large and light; the neighborhood is quiet, yet close to everything.
The eat in kitchen and upstairs bedroom have water views of Port Townsend's downtown waterfront. You are within short walking distance of both downtown and a local market. The owners are nice and responsive to your needs.
I really enjoyed the stay here; you will love Port Townsend.
We fell in love with Port Townsend after we spontaneously took a ferry over from Whidbey Island and have been hooked ever since. We found the house while antiquing and made arrangements to buy it shortly before our family expanded. Our children have grown up wandering through town and on the nearby beaches and we hope to retire there in the next few years.
The view of the water!!!!! We sit in the kitchen, dining room or living room and can watch the water. The upstairs bedroom and bath also have great views.Port Townsend is an incredible town with great people and wonderful amenities.
We love this house and location because there is the small town feeling with amazing amenities. We have a bakery, spa and community center all within one block of the house. Two blocks away there is a wonderful grocery store with a deli inside. There are also numerous restaurants within blocks of the house yet it's still in a small neighborhood where everyone watches out for each other.
