Everything about this experience was AMAZING. The host is very thoughtful and provided treats for us. She also allowed me to host my grandsons 4th birthday party here The house and yard were amazing. The kids had a blast and I am so thankful.

I reserved this place for my mother-in-law and sister-in-law for our wedding. They really enjoyed the place and all of the antiques. It was a great location and it worked out really well for us. I would recommend this for anybody looking for something close to the wine country or in the Tigard area.

I booked this house as a place to stay while visiting family. After spending approximately 30 minutes in the house, I determined I was not comfortable staying. The house was full of personal items, and I believe someone lives there. The bathroom was full of personal items in every drawer and cabinet, including makeup and hairbrushes. The host insisted these items were for the guests’ use. There were 2 used razors in the shower, and the host claimed they were new for guests as sometime people forget things, however, there were hairs in and around the razors. The refrigerator had many used and open items and the pantry was fully stocked including open containers of flour, and again the host insisted this was for guests. The host left muffins in a glass case which had small bugs flying inside. The floors appeared to be vacuumed but they were old and dingy. The house smelled musty and of mothballs. There were clothes and shoes in several closets. Personal cards and notes were in the office and personal pictures were all around the house. The upstairs does not have central AC and the window units were not completely sealed around the windows allowing bugs to enter the house. I did not feel comfortable staying and had to find alternative arrangements.

Hello, Rachel - so sorry you had such an uncomfortable feeling with the home. I was shocked - after 9 years - almost totally a designated premier host and a super host with another platform, and tons of happy guests, your reaction was a real surprise to me. I felt that you had not read the description or seen the photos on VRBO and when I asked if you had read the information sheet on the kitchen counter, there was no response and when you complained about the food in the pantry, i asked if you wanted me to come by and remove it all. Again, no response. It is my second home so yes there are personal photos and an owner's closet which are allowed. I am not going to respond to everything you mentioned - it would appear like "Oh, of course the owner would defend the home." It is always cleaned professionally before and after each guest and I pride myself in taking care of my guests - above and beyond the normal call of a host according to hundreds of folks who have blessed me over the years. I am truly thankful for them all. This posting was not misrepresented on the VRBO site - it is not a hotel room by any stretch of the imagination - it is a home. I tend to lead with love and nurture and can not see myself changing. Got to go - guests coming and it is pumpkin pie season for them! Good luck to you and hope that your father is doing OK.

Great stay! Gorgeous back yard with several seating areas was great when we entertained family. Older home with a few quirks but spacious, comfortable and quiet. The most fully equipped kitchen we've enjoyed in our 20 years as frequent VRBO travelers. Wonderful host. Will stay again!

Elegance meets farm house meets cozy

This property was amazing! Very charming and communication with the hostess was very easy. There were directions for operating the lights as well as other things. I would definitely book again! The backyard was so peaceful.

Awesome place!

We enjoyed this stay so much. The house was clean and had so many great hang out spots both inside and outside! We really enjoyed the backyard space. The location was very nice and the neighborhood was quiet but still close to downtown Portland and many other great areas.

Great place to stay

The owner of this property was proactive communicating with us the week before our arrival and available at all times during our stay. The house was lovely and well stocked with everything we needed and great appliances. The house was very comfortable with convenient rooms to gather and a great backyard. We were very happy with our stay.

Our hostess was amazing and had a welcome snack for us at check in. Totally unexpected. The home was beautiful and perfect for our family gathering. Large back yard and pet friendly. Everything was set, and fun seasonal decor! Great location for access to the surrounding areas and have already recommended for a couple visiting soon from Denmark. I cannot thank our hostess enough for sharing this home.
