Quiet retreat

We stayed for 3 nights and it was lovely. The view of the lake was gorgeous and the place was very comfortable. We enjoyed the ping pong table and had fun with the nintendo as well. I would definitely come back to this place in the future.

Cozy, Perfect Cabin!

We enjoyed our stay as a family of four right on the lake in this gem of a cabin. The private dock was perfect and the space inside was cozy and wonderful as the pictures can almost show— have to be there to really experience it. Would recommend to anyone with a similar family size or would be perfect for a couple too.

Loved the view out the back right on to the lake. We were comfortable, neighborhood was perfect for walking. Caught some nice fish off the dock. We really enjoyed ourselves

cute house, amazing location

great stay with my teenagers. three levels allowed for privacy and the deck is like an added room. i was worried about lack of AC, but even in August, it was lovely without it, thanks to the trees, fans and the great weather in Deep Creek.

Good rustic spot

Overall a good stay. Pros: plenty of spaces to sleep, very clean, good fishing off the dock.Cons: as expected in a rustic spot with lots of wood - carpenter ants. But this was a few more than we'd like to deal with indoors; outdoor fire pit great, but bring your own chairs. There are very old, wooden ones out there - but if you want to be comfortable - bring your own as these are basically unusable for actual seating. That should be clearly stated in the property's description.Overall a good stay, but could be better.

A great little cabin!

We stayed in Lost & Found for a weekend. It was an adorable and relaxing place to stay. The highlight is definitely the wall of windows and the huge deck overlooking the lake. The master bedroom was very comfortable and the kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The other sleeping areas looked comfy and the couch was great. The bathrooms worked well but were on the small side. The one thing that was a bit surprising was how close the other houses on the property were. Fortunately for us, we were the only ones around, so we could enjoy the peace and quiet. We'd definitely recommend this place for a weekend overlooking the lake and maybe using the convenient dock access.

Great stay on Deep Creek Lake

This is a very comfortable home. Although no AC the breeze off the water and the availability of box fans made it comfortable for sleeping at night. The basement area is naturally very cool if you need to escape the heat. Home is very spacious and comfortable with plenty of options to spread out. The dock was great for my two wave runners. Just note that the channel outside the house is quite popular for boats with skiers to buzz by so be sure to bring plenty of feeders to absorb the impact. The lake is a blast to explore and there are no hazards. Only deep water. Highly recommend Railey mgt and there properties. Also the offsite storage for your trailer and machines is actually very convenient and keeps them from clogging property driveways. There are deer everywhere and I recommend Swallow Falls if you want a casual hike as a change of pace.

GREAT LITTLE GETAWAY

The lake house was more than adequate for our family. Loved the 2 and 1/2 baths. Dock was great. The lack of AC was not a problem - plenty of fans to keep the air flowing. It would have been nice to know that it was a shared parking space but plenty of room for our 3 vehicles. The deck could use a power wash and the loft fan didn't work. Overall it was a great week spent at Deep Creek Lake.

The property has a beautiful sight line from the A-frame of Deep Creek and the changing trees on the other bank. Cleanliness not great. Used QTip under a bathroom sink. Slow drainage 1st floor bedroom bathroom sink. Peanuts and trash under the fold-out couch lower level. Sofa in living room and fold out couch have seen better days. Kitchen was fine except there were just 2 knives. Selling point is the view and fire pit was fun.

So close to perfect

The house was very nice and had a great lake view. During the day, it was a great spot for a short getaway. The kitchen was well equipped, the pier was nice and easy to access, and the lake was gorgeous. We rented some kayaks and had them delivered to the house so we got to enjoy the water on our own schedule, which was essential because of the rain; we kayaked every time the rain stopped and it was beautiful. The house itself was perfect. The beds, however, were a different story. My daughter described the pillows as "a couple of jumbo cottonballs stuffed into pillow cases." The mattresses were uncomfortable and the linens needed to be washed. There was actual dirt in the mattress pads of the bunk beds, like someone had been getting into the beds with their shoes on. The couches could use a good vacuuming beneath the cushions. All of those issues were easy to fix -- we washed the bedding before we slept, then ran to Walmart on the second day and got a few new pillows -- and while annoying, did not diminish the fun of the overall trip, nor discourage me from wanting to go back to Deep Creek.

Amazing A frame cottage

Location is great, close to many of the must see items in the area, including less than 15 minutes from Deep Creek State Park. Easy parking, fire pit by the lake and very quiet area. House inside is beautiful and with all amenities, including a ping pong table and Roku TVs to relax at night. Also included a few basic board games, but bring your own if you are into that. Very well decorated, and has a great deck off the main floor that faces the lake. Was very well cleaned. Linens and towels were crisp and fresh. Did not see a single insect inside of the house aside from an ant or two, contrary to other places we have been, and contrary to what is normal in the woods, which speaks to how well they clean this house. Check in/out was easy. Less than 10 minutes by car from a small supermarket and gas station. Will try to book it again.

A Refurbished Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very attractive. The style from the remodel is evident through and gives the house character. There was ample although not excessive space for the 8 adults we had staying there, including parking for our 4 cars! The dock was nice and on a great little part of the lake. Unfortunately it rained everyday we were there which limited our activities. We were able to do a little hiking and have a pretty serious ping pong tournament. But because of the rain, and no A/C in the house, the downstairs level was extremely damp. The sheets felt wet when you went to bed and everything smelled musty the whole week. A few dehumidifier would have been very helpful.

Great Family Vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Lost and Found was great! The house was the perfect size for a small family and having access to the lake was wonderful. The remodel is really great, too. There was plenty of cooking stuff, silverware, etc. The location was great...right down the road from Deep Creek Lake State Park. My only complaint was the cooling. Not having AC is fine, but the place could really use some ceiling fans installed. The box fans really didn't cut it. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it would've been nice to have more air circulation, especially on the hotter than usual days.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute A-frame with a cabin feel. Our code did not work when we arrived so we had to borrow a cell phone to call the office. No Straight Talk cell coverage in this part of Maryland (we had wifi at the house). First thing we did upon arrival was sweep off deck, walkways, and steps which were covered with debris from rain storm. Fishing was not that great due to all the recent storms. Pros: Quick drive/boat to the market, restaurants, and the boat launch. Kitchen set up was great (everything you need). Boat dock is nice. Cons: Main bedroom had black ants. Wooden chairs by fire pit were coming apart.

Fabulous house! REALLY!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is stunning! As beautiful as the photos are, it's even better in person! We just recently visited, Jan. 2018, and I would assume the total renovation of the house is about 1 yr. old. The design and architectural detail is thoroughly impressive (coming from someone from the design industry). The details are smart, practical and beautiful, resulting in a property with wonderful energy. Although the house is not large, it's excellent execution of designed makes for a super comfortable (and spacious feeling) home for a group of 6 -8. Equally important, the house was spotless, I mean spotless! The only improvement to suggest, would be adding 1/2 dozen or so wall hooks to the master bdrm since there's no closet, only a dresser. The house is about 20 mins to WISP (quick), has good parking, and is an easy walk down about a dozen or so (long in length) shallow steps to enter into the house. We can not wait to rent this house again in the future!!

Lost and Found Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is classic and in a great location right on the lake. There were little touches like firewood ready at the fire pit, a ping pong table for the kids and a minnow trap that were very nice. I would highly recommend this rental.
