Superbe retraite au bord du lac Pour 8 adultes et 4 enfants. Nous avons 4 chambres queen, 3 sont des maîtres avec salles de bain complètes séparées et téléviseurs HD, 2 ont des balcons privés donnant sur le lac, 1 chambre avec lits superposés avec 4 lits. Cuisine entièrement équipée avec comptoirs en granit, électroménagers neufs, entièrement rénovée pour le chef exigeant, avec vue sur le lac. Belle cheminée de 2 étages à l'intérieur et foyer extérieur. Immense terrasse avec jacuzzi pour 6 personnes, barbecue à gaz et haut-parleurs extérieurs. Le quai est à votre disposition pour garder votre bateau et / ou votre runner. Il est parfait pour la baignade et la pêche. De magnifiques couchers de soleil chaque soir sur le lac Deep Creek vous permettront de passer une soirée relaxante dans cette maison 5 étoiles. Le lever de lune est également spectaculaire tout en étant assis autour du feu de camp.

electrical switch issues known to owner prior to our arrival. offered to have electrician visit during our stay but we declined. Refrigerator ice maker did not work, drawers and door broken. vacuum cleaner did not work until we unclogged the hose. several broken and/or loose stepping stones in front entryway steps. home was comfortable and would have been excellent, minus these issues.

We had a great week at this property. We had been there before and like the location. We rented a ski boat for three days which added to the fun. Clean and well equipped home with air conditioning now.

Great Vacation Deep Creek Lake

My family of 10 had an amazing vacation at Base Camp. The house was largest enough to meet everyone's needs. Base Camp was right on the lake with a private dock and location was just a few miles from shopping, restaurants and amusements and arcade for the grandchildren. I would highly recommend Base Camp!!

Vacation in August 2024

Home is very convenient to shopping. Also the yard is gently sloped and has a brick walkway which makes access to the lake stress free. Only issue is that the one queen bed upstairs needs to be replaced as it slopes to the middle. That being said we are considering to return to this property in 2025

Relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Base Camp. The views were amazing and the room and house were comfortable. Bonus was the hot tub! Our host was very responsive when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely and spacious house. Centralized and great location. Owners were quick to respond for any reason. We couldn't for a nicer vacation. It was our first stay at Deep Creek. Lovely area.

Beautiful View

We spent a week at Base Camp in August of 2024. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We have been coming to deep creek for over 20 years. We have always wanted to stay at Base Camp but we were reluctant due to lack of A/C. Now that the house incudes this feature we excitedly booked our vacation at Base Camp. Overall, we were pleased with the accommodations. Base Camp has a huge deck overlooking the lake and we enjoyed many meals and family time out there. The interior accommodations met our needs. The easy slope down to the dock was also appreciated. Some of our family members had difficulty with the rock steps that lead to the dock. Overall, I would highly recommend Base Camp for anyone that wants to just relax and enjoy the peaceful Deep Creek Lake experience.

Wonderful Lakefront

The property is wonderful, however there are quite a few steps from the driveway to the house (and from the lawn to the floating dock) that are quite steep and lack a railing, which made it difficult for the grandparents. The view from the deck was spectacular.

Beautiful home with amazing views.

We absolutely enjoyed the base camp home. Close proximity to all the local shops, recreation, and restaurants. The lake access was amazing for our kayaking group. The fire pit was a favorite spot that our group of friends enjoyed sitting around telling stories every evening.I would highly recommend coming & staying at base camp.

Photos didn’t do this place justice

I planned this trip a year in advance for my husbands 50th bday. When we all checked in, everyone was super happy with the house. The view was breathtaking and the entire home was cozy and well kept. The other couples that came with us even asked for the link of this listing so they could book it in the future. If we are to travel again to the area, we are definitely booking this house again. Hands down! You won’t be disappointed!

Family vacation

Our family of 12 had a very enjoyable time at Deep Creek Lake. The house was comfortable and fully equipped. We enjoyed jet skiing, tubing, kayaking, swimming, sitting by the campfire, hanging out in the hot tub, and white water rafting. It was great being right on the water. Thank you, Debbie, for being there to welcome us and allow us to share your waterfront home. We look forward to a return visit.

Perfect!

Basecamp Everwisp provided the perfect accommodations for our family weekend at Deep Creek. House is well appointed and in a great location for easy access to WISP and restaurants. Bedrooms are sizable and the common area allowed for plenty of family time. -32 degrees outside but so comfy inside! Thank goodness for heated floors and the wood burning fireplace!!!!

FABULOUS stay at Base Camp!

Every year we visit Deep Creek over Columbus Day weekend and this year we had the opportunity to stay at Base Camp. Booking with Debbie was a breeze. She was quick to respond to our request and answered any questions we had. The property is beautiful and in a great location to enjoy all of the activities Deep Creek has to offer. Our family enjoyed the spectacular view, outdoor firepit (wood already provided!), gas grill, and fishing from the dock. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate to get our kayaks in the water. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were lots of games, puzzles, and books to enjoy. Swallow Falls is a short trip from Base Camp and a must hike if you visit. Wisp is just a few minutes away, there is the State Park, Lakeside Creamery, and plenty of dining to enjoy but I warn you... Base Camp is so cozy you will not want to leave! We look forward to visiting again next year. Thank you Debbie for sharing your home with us!

Almost Perfect

The house itself was gorgeous, although the living room and dining area was a bit tiny for 12. The deck on the house was very spacious and hot tub was excellent. Cooking arrangements were plenty to get the job done, however the grill was a bit of a mess and needed a thorough cleaning. The dock was plenty of room for all our watercraft but since it was a floating dock with a busy lake the waves were a bit rough on the boat and skis. I suggest bringing extra bumpers to keep the vessels safe as nobody watches speed close to the docks there. There are plenty of local places to purchase local products from for dinner and whatever you might need within 15 min tops driving. All in all the house was a great spot to enjoy a great week with the family. But unfortunately there is one thing that truly impacts the week trip we had. On Thursday the owner stopped in to the guest house unannounced to enjoy the weekend there with her family. This was a little off putting to myself and the rest of the family as it made it feel like we weren't enjoying a private week anymore. The guest house overlooks the firepit outside where we were enjoying each night at. So that night and the other night we didn't feel as comfortable out at the camp fire which was a real bummer. We bumped into them a few times as they did seem to keep to themselves but the feeling of a family vacation at a rental was lost by that point. The remaining days we made the best of it and was unfortunate how we felt.

Great Lake House in a great location

We had a very good time despite the weather being less than ideal. Debbie was welcoming and very easy to work with--thank you! The house itself is a wonderful property with beautiful views and a gentle slope down to the lakeshore dock (which was important to us since we had a toddler with us). Our party--two families with 4 adults and 3 kids total--had ample space inside and the house has a large deck with outdoor furniture, a BBQ, and a big hot tub all of which we loved and used as often as the rain held off. All in all, its a fantastic rental house in a great location for a sizable group looking for a lake vacation. A few relatively minor issues were all that prevented me from rating it at "5-stars". The slider doors & screens leading out to the back deck are old and in need of service or replacement. They stuck a lot, were difficult to operate, and the screens didn't lock properly (a problem for us with a toddler near water). The kitchen was pretty cramped and disorganized. Most importantly to us, the laundry facilities (only a tiny, apartment-sized stack-able unit) were inadequate for a house this size that sleeps 10+ people playing in a lake. A nice, big house like that really needs a proper full-sized separate washer & dryer IMHO. All in all though, its a wonderful place with a very friendly owner and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a large lake house rental.

Beautiful View from Basecamp

We recently spent the week at Basecamp. Our group was 9 or 11 people-extended family. We were attracted to Basecamp by the photos of the deck and views onto the lake. It did not disappoint! The property gives a beautiful view of the lake and yard area. The house itself is very nice- the 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms are comfortable and spacious. The bunk room and final queen room are small and cramped for our 6 foot 2 teen boys, but they made it work. The kitchen is well equipped with coffee makers, crock pots, blenders and all of the things you might need. The living /dining area is large enough for all of our family, although we always ate on the deck. We brought a patio umbrella, an EZ up and an additional folding table so that we could all eat outside at once. The fire pit area is really nice, and wood is provided. We also brought a volleyball net and enjoyed playing in the yard. There is a lot of goose poop, so you have to be careful. The dock and path are nicely maintained. We rented a boat- this is a must. A few things to be aware of about the house: 1. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING! This was a huge surprise to us. When we arrived, the house was closed, HOT and musty. We promptly opened the doors and windows and turned on the fans, but it was very uncomfortable- especially the first night. We eventually got used to it, but it was 80 degrees in the house all the time. Again, the house and property are beautiful- why not pay the extra to get central air installed? 2. The windows do not open fully in the upstairs master bedroom. The eaves of the roof block the windows from opening. So, no AC, second floor and windows that don't open. There is a ceiling fan and a stand fan, but again, it was HOT! 3. The screen door in the kitchen is ripped and does not close properly. It is the main door that is used hundreds of times each day. It really needs to function properly. It was constantly left partially open and bugs were flying in. 4. There is a very busy road right across the lake and there is a lot of road noise. This was very surprising to us. You expect to be in nature and there are big rigs driving right by all day long. There was more road noise here then at my own home. It was not what we expected at a lake. 5. There is also a lot of boat traffic in front of the house. If you are swimming in the lake or lounging on the dock, be prepared for very choppy water. It did calm down a little mid-week, but it is still quite a busy spot.
