Centrally located, Cedars on the Rocks is the perfect starting point for a memorable Deep Creek Lake vacation.

Travel just five to ten-minutes to find restaurants, shops, mini golf, marinas, kayak rentals and the movie theater.

We had the best time at Cedars on the Rocks. It's just as charming as it looks in the photos. We will absolutely book it again if we make our way back to Deep Creek.

House was in great location. Close to the nearest golf courses which we played and close to the lake to be able to rent a boat for a day.

Fall Girls Weekend

Beautiful place to spend a weekend with friends. Foliage was spectacular and the house was cozy and comfortable. Only drawback was that I attempted numerous times to get more info on the property and never received a response.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay. There were a few issues. The main one was the driveway was notPlowed until after 7p. We purchased 58In salt to clear the drive. We had a pregnant mom and young children that we needed to park near door. We paid 75 for early check in and should not have had to buy salt and clean the driveway. The furnace was set at 82 degrees. Way too hot and we could notFet the tempDown to comfort level forHours. Overall excellent experience.

Quiet and updated but worn

The master bed was broken upon arrival and the couch was worn (basically you sink in when you sit). Bunk bed were extremely hard. Cobwebs in the dining room, kitchen ledge behind sink was dirty. Screens hanging off the windows. Outdoor path lights broken and not in working order.

Not suitable for winter stays

The house is managed by Taylor Made Rentals. Absolutely the worst company and customer service I’ve dealt with in Deep Creek Lake. I have stayed at other properties around the lake at various times over the last 10 years, both in winter and summer. This property is not suited for winter stays as the management company does not maintain the driveway, parking area or walkways to anywhere close to a safe standard. We had to shovel and go buy our own salt due to heavy snow and ice accumulation. It’s negligent and irresponsible. Management company rude and unresponsive. Will never stay at another Taylor Made rental property and will discourage others from staying at their properties as well.

We had a great stay at Cedars. The property is beautiful and consistent with the photos. Parking is a bit tight, but OK for 3 cars… no more. The home had a very good assortment of dishes, glasses, etc. Bedding was OK, but not great. Fitted sheets should be used, but they weren’t - at least in the primary. Guests should know that you need to provide all paper products, soap, trash bags, condiments, etc. Many other places I’ve rented provide basic supplies, and it makes the 1st day experience more relaxing. Check-in was NOT smooth. I did NOT receive the “3 days before” email that the listing mentioned. I reached out and I was told that I never completed the registration form, and I was told my reservation would be cancelled. I provided proof that I HAD completed the form, but I was repeatedly told that I had not. Fine, I completed it again. Upon arrival at Cedars the door code I had been given did not work. I called Taylor Made (the mgmt. co.) and finally received a working code. That was unsettling. I don’t know what would have happened if I arrived after Taylor Made was closed. A friend who also rented a Taylor Made property had the same experience with registration agreement and he was also given a non-working door code. We were both given the same code that worked for both properties. Were we given the master code for all Taylor Made properties? Much room for improvement on this. Overall, it was still a great stay.
