We arrived on Saturday and called the management company right away with issues including no wifi and TV not working. No one responded. We tried again Sunday with no luck leaving messages and emails to the property management company. Monday morning I mentioned I have to log into work and they apologized stating a maintenance request will be sent and a technician will be in about 45 minutes to an hour. We waited 3 hours then I called again escalating it to the manager. They apologized and stated the technician will be there. No one showed up Monday. Called again Tuesday with no avail. I gave up after calling more than 10 times total and we all used Hotspot and our data for the rest of the week long stay. Property is beautiful but house was dusty and we found multiple roaches. We ended up spending the first day cleaning the entire house ourselves. Considering I received many emails about cleaning during COVID I was expecting top notch cleaning. Sadly, our experience was subpar due to the property management company. I would not stay here again which is sad because the house itself is beautiful.
Our family has stayed in numerous homes on the coasts of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia through the years. This home and the location are by far the best we have ever experienced. It wasnât lacking a thing and far exceeded our expectations!! We reserved another two weeks next year and one week this fall. Oak Island and all the people we were around were so friendly and genuine. Made our family seriously considering relocating to the area. Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a perfect home!!!
