Bienvenue à West Watch sur Bald Head Island!

Cette maison de 4 chambres, 3 salles de bain a été entièrement rénovée de haut en bas et joliment décorée. L'océan et les couchers de soleil sont uniques! Profitez de la brise sur les deux porches de l'écran ou profitez du soleil sur le pont ouvert. Le plan d'étage ouvert est parfait pour les réunions de famille ou les couples à la recherche d'une escapade. La cuisine est bien aménagée et dispose d'une grande île en marbre avec des sièges de bar. Le mobilier est moderne, neuf et choisi pour son confort. Chaque chambre est équipée de lits confortables, d'une télévision et de ventilateurs muraux oscillants. Cette maison dispose de deux suites de maître à l'étage avec des lits king size. Au rez-de-chaussée se trouve un dortoir comprenant deux lits jumeaux et deux lits doubles. Il y a aussi une chambre lit king en bas qui partage une salle de bain complète avec le dortoir. La maison accepte les animaux domestiques et les membres de votre famille à quatre pattes sont les bienvenus! Nous avons un chenil pour chiens intégré et personnalisé, une caisse de voyage et une station de lavage pour chiens en plein air. Nous avons 2 voiturettes de golf (4 passagers et 6 passagers) et beaucoup de matériel de plage. Rien n’a été oublié et nous savons que vous serez ravi dans cette maison. Un abonnement BHI Sports / Lifestyle est disponible et peut être acheté pour votre séjour.

Can’t wait to go back!

3 rooms with king size beds and 3 bathrooms plus a kids room is a rare find! Close to the beach with golf cart accessibility/walkable, close to the club, and close to the ferry with amazing views is hard to beat! This place was perfect for us, updated and had everything we needed! You can’t beat this location for the price!

Best short vacation my husband and I have ever had. So relaxing and the house is great!

The house is absolutely beautiful and everything you need is right there. It was one of our best little get aways. We will definitely be going back. Check in was easy. The whole island is laid back and relaxing. I cannot say enough good things about the house and accommodations.

Great stay on BHI!

Just back from wonderful, extended family vacation on Bald Head Island. West Watch is a very clean, well-laid out property - four bedrooms on two floors, including two with ensuite bathrooms. Super location between and near both the marina and the Bald Head Island club. Easy check-in and great communication with the property manager. Highly recommend!

The house was very comfortable for our entire family of 8 and 2 dogs. The dog station was wonderful! We were disappointed that the grill was unusable. The house was a quick walk/ride to the beach and the front window view was spectacular. We enjoyed our stay!

beautiful, well appointed house

Great views, great location - close to the beach, grocery & marina; very nice kitchen, furnishings & comfy beds. The dog washing station was amazing for after the beach. We hit a few snags the first day but they were quickly resolved by Brandy with Bald Head Island Services. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay at West Watch again! :)

First Time

This was a first VRBO rental and a first visit to Bald Head Island. Enjoyed the house very much. Loved the built-in Pet kennel. Nice layout and very comfortable. Had to reschedule due to hurricane and death in the family. Doing so was painless. Will do it again.

Wonderful Stay - Perfect House

We had a wonderful stay in this home on Bald Head Island. The home had the perfect layout for our family and in-laws as there were two bedrooms on the lower floor, two bedrooms on the upper floor, with the living area & kitchen in between. It was open and fresh, with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was conveniently located near the beach, BHI club, the lighthouse and village, and a 10-15 min golf cart ride away from the market and East Beach. The house was nicely equipped and check-in process was seamless. We loved the dog washing station. We would definitely return!

This little house was beautiful with great views! It was perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Very easy to rent. We had pretty much everything we needed. The screen was torn on the porch so we couldn’t leave the door open in the evening without letting bugs in. And we had some issues with Internet connection on the TV. But other than that it was a great weekend!

Absolutely love this beach house!

West Watch was an amazing beach house on Bald Head Island! We would frequent here again! The house is in a great location on the island with a beach access right across the street. The convenience that the house comes with 2 golf carts was great. The house has awesome big windows that you can see the beach from the living room/kitchen. The layout of the house is great too, with two master bedrooms upstairs, and then the two bedrooms downstairs. We had 6 people and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and great updates features. Will definitely be here again!!!

We are sorry to hear this about your stay. The home is on a monthly pest control program for spray and we have not had any issues in the past. We do touch base with you while on island and did not hear of any items during your stay. We would have been happy to have pest control come out and do another spray. The yard is in Bald Head's natural condition but we will make sure to take a look and assess all is in good order for guests.

Bald Head Late Fall Visit

We really enjoyed the location, views and layout of the home. Great weekend. Played golf two days, enjoyed the club, walked on the beach, cooked in one night, ate out the others. Coffee at Jail House sitting in the sun on their porch. We love Bald Head! My only suggestion is to provide a flash light to better see at dark how to navigate the stairs. (it was dark so early this trip) Also lighter to light charcoal grill out of juice. need a new one! We will return!

Great location, beautiful views.

We had a couple of hiccups in the beginning and our washing machine wasn’t working. After a couple of calls and a maintenance visit, it still didnt work, so that was a bit of an issue. The views are gorgeous and the kitchen was great! It would be nice to have a pantry or cabinet to store food. Master baths are tiny and there is limited storage, but the layout worked well for us. Beach chairs are in great shape, however the golf carts are slow.

Thank you for your feedback! We did send one mainteannce person immediately upon your call and they were not able to find an issue with the washing machine. Upon another call, we came out immediately to assess and reset the panel of the washing machine which also seemed to keep the washer working. Our housekeeping has used the washer this past weekend with no issues found. We do apologize that we could not find the issue but we will keep an eye on it going forward. The golf carts are serviced monthly and rated to go a speed according to the limit on island. We will take another look and ensure all is working properly. Thank you

Wonderful Sunset Views

The property has great views of the sunset and even better views if you make the short walk to the beach. The kitchen is beautiful with all the appliances you need. The outdoor shower and dog wash made getting sand off after the beach really easy. We ran into a few maintenance issues but the property management is very nice and prompt in responding to any communication. One aspect of this house that we loved was that there were three bedrooms with king beds so all three couples could sleep in peace and no one had to compromise on space. The lower bedroom easily fit a rental crib and the kids room with bunk beds was fun for our eldest. It was a great space for our family with really little kids (2 and 5).

Bright, airy, modern house

We loved this house! The interior is spacious, bright, and has great views of the water. We loved having 2 ensuite bedrooms (great for traveling with another family), and the bunk room was a hit as well. Kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of plates, coffee mugs, wine glasses, etc. The outside shower and dog was station were nice touches. The blinds in the the living room were great for keeping the house cooler in the afternoon sun. We also loved the fans in the bedrooms. Our only small complaint was that the golf carts seemed very slow - but it wasn't an issue. Overall, this house was very nicely renovated and comfortable.

Well equipped home in a great location!

We truly enjoyed our Fall visit to BHI and our stay at West Wynd. The home is in a convenient location to the beach and the marina and is incredibly well-equipped and well-maintained. We loved the dog wash station and outdoor shower to help us keep the kids and four-legged friend from bringing sand into the house! Visitors please use caution however when enjoying the beach close to the house. The channel into the Cape Fear River has been enlarged to allow larger shipping and military vessels access and we had an incredibly dangerous ocean encounter. These ships are capable of rapidly creating dangerous ocean conditions on the Southwest corner of the island that had nearly tragic consequences for our family.

A Little Slice of Heaven

Bald Head Island is one of my favorite places in the entire world and my family and I together with friends have rented houses there over the past five years, but far and away West Watch was the perfect beach house!! The thoughtful open plan living/dining/kitchen area with high ceilings in calming blues and tans is wonderful. The views of the ocean and especially the sunset were peaceful and just what you want from a stay at the beach. The rooms are not overdone, classic and simple, and the large bunch room was awesome for the five boys ages 12-15! The side porches were perfect, no front porch needed, one was great for shade and eating, the other for sunbathing and reading. My kids said they wanted to buy the house they loved it so much and we will definitely be renting it again!

Spring break with family

Had a wonderful stay at West Watch for spring break with our family of five. The layout was perfect for our group. The house was well equipped, very clean and the kitchen had everything we need to cook some wonderful meals each night. The sunsets at night when it wasn't cloudy were amazing! We will definitely be back!
