Grande maison, excellent emplacement !!! CFS 4 bd / 3bath

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re extremely disappointed to hear that you were dissatisfied, especially since no issues were mentioned during your stay, which would have given us the opportunity to address them in real time. We also went above and beyond to ensure your left belongings were carefully shipped and delivered, and we followed up with you throughout that process. We care deeply about guest comfort and continue to invest in Canterwood Cottage, including a brand-new six-passenger golf cart for exploring Bald Head Island. Our new living room sofa and chairs are also scheduled to arrive in mid-October, bringing a fresh look and added comfort to the home. We also have many returning guests who love staying with us and frequently compliment the mattresses, especially the one in the primary bedroom. We appreciate your visit and the opportunity to keep improving. Ainsley

Thank you so much! We’re so happy you came back for a second stay—that truly means the most to us. I’m glad you enjoyed the bikes, golf cart, and how close everything is— It really is such a peaceful and fun spot. We’d love to host you again anytime!

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m very sorry that you felt our communication was delayed. We typically receive very positive feedback about being quick and responsive, so I’m disappointed that wasn’t your experience during this stay. We are aware of the back-door lock mechanism, and the replacement has already been ordered and is scheduled to be installed in October. In the meantime, the door remains securely locked for safety, and guests can enter and exit through the functioning front door. We also appreciated you letting us know about the dishwasher so we could have it serviced promptly. We’re glad you found the home clean, nicely decorated, well stocked, and that the early bag drop made your arrival easier. Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing your feedback.

Thank you so much for the kind review! We’re especially glad to hear you noticed how clean the home was. Our cleaning team works very hard to make sure everything is spotless and ready for each guest, so that means a lot. We’re also happy you enjoyed the location and hope to host you again soon!

Thank you so much for this lovely review! We are truly honored that our home continues to be your favorite place on Bald Head Island. Knowing you return often and still find it welcoming and magical means the world to us. Guests like you are exactly why we love sharing our home, and we’re always so happy to welcome you back. We look forward to many more visits with you in the future!

We’re so glad we could accommodate your early arrival and help make your stay smooth and enjoyable. It’s wonderful to hear that you found the place clean, comfortable, and in a great location.

We’re so glad you enjoyed the home, decor, comfort, golf cart, and amazing location close to the beach. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us! If possible, we do our best to accommodate early arrivals whenever we can. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed the house and loved the location—it really is tough to beat being that close to everything on East Beach. We’d love to have you back anytime! Warmly, Ainsley

Thank you for the kind review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and found everything clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciate you mentioning the golf cart — we do monthly maintenance on it to keep it running smoothly. While it’s not fancy or brand new, it’s fast, reliable, and exactly what you need to get around the island with ease! We’d love to host you (and your dog!) again anytime.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you had a wonderful stay and loved the house. It truly makes us happy when guests enjoy both the home and beautiful Bald Head Island as much as we do. Come back anytime! 🌴✨

Thank you for the kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed the home and its location. We’ve put a lot of love into making it special and would be thrilled to host you again for your yearly getaway!

We are so glad you enjoyed your 2 week stay!

We’re thrilled to hear you loved the home and that it was a great fit for your family. Knowing the location worked well and the space was kid-friendly means a lot to us. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’re so glad communication felt easy throughout your stay. We’d absolutely love to welcome you back anytime — you’re always welcome here!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We always give a discount when our guests return so please come back soon!

So glad you loved the location! After looking for many many years we found the perfect house on the most perfect area of BHI, Cape Fear Station! So glad to hear you also LOVED the location! You can't beat being next The Commons park, the Shoals club, Mikes Bites and East Beach!

We’re sorry your stay did not meet your expectations and would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The front door lock was functioning properly; the Andersen lock requires the handle to be lifted before locking or unlocking it. Regarding the maintenance visit, our team contacted us after arriving and reported that multiple dogs were present inside the home. The reservation reflected three guests and, to our knowledge, no pets other than the one service dog previously discussed. Because the dogs were inside, the team chose not to enter and the repair was rescheduled. We have worked with the same trusted cleaning and maintenance teams for more than 10 years and have not previously received complaints regarding the cleanliness of 303 Whale Head Way. This experience is very different from the feedback we typically receive. We also want to clarify that the images included with this review do not depict 303 Whale Head Way or any area of our home, so we cannot speak to where those photographs originated. We take legitimate guest concerns seriously and will always follow up on anything that needs attention at our property.

Thank you so much for returning to stay with us and for sharing such a kind review! We truly love hosting your family, and it means a lot to hear that the home continues to feel comfortable and well-equipped for you — especially with the high chair and pack ’n play making travel a little easier. We take great care to keep the home clean, welcoming, and ready for guests, so your feedback is deeply appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back again on your next Bald Head Island trip! Warmly, Ainsley

Thank you! We’re so happy to hear our home became your new happy place. That front porch really is something special—perfect for a quiet read, family puzzle time, or evening cocktails. We hope it felt like your favorite house on BHI. Can’t wait to have you back!

I couldn't have said it any better! Thank you for the kind review!

So nice to be at BHI to celebrate another year! Would love to have you return and will discount since you didn't get to enjoy the island as planned!

Thank you so much for your continued support and kind words! It means the world to us to have returning guests like you who love the place as much as we do. We're so glad you were able to extend your stay and make the most of your time at the beach. Can’t wait to welcome you back again soon!
