Le Windswept Inn ™ est la réalisation d'un petit rêve que les aubergistes, Jennifer et Eric Singleton, avaient pour créer le chalet anglais par excellence dans le pays de la chasse de Virginie. Après des années de voyage, ils savaient ce qu'ils aimaient dans un hôtel ou une auberge, et ont décidé de construire "Windswept" et de le rendre accessible à tous ceux qui avaient besoin d'un répit de la vie quotidienne, et attendaient l'excellence dans leur hébergement.

Que vous ayez besoin de passer une nuit pour affaires et que vous ne supportiez pas l'idée d'une autre boîte impersonnelle, ou que vous souhaitiez vous évader dans un endroit que personne ne connaît et vous rafraîchir l'âme, venez nous rendre visite si vous pouvez garder un secret!

L'auberge a un beau premier étage qui comprend une cuisine gastronomique, une cheminée, une salle de bains de luxe avec deux pommes de douche et un plancher chauffant. Un mobilier raffiné et de beaux arts partout et un charmant escalier en colimaçon qui mène à travers les plafonds de 14 'à deux chambres supplémentaires à l'étage, chacune avec deux lits queen.

Cozy Retreat

Our family of four (Mom, Dad, daughters 9 and 5) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Windswept. It was convenient to Rte. 7, Round Hill, Dulles Airport, and so many scenic vistas! We loved the cozy living area, the beautiful kitchen, and comfy beds. We were delighted by the unexpected appliances (slow cooker, ninja blender, mini fridge in addition to the full-size fridge), the operable garage door that made it so easy to load-in and load-out our luggage, and the backyard full of fireflies. The spiral staircase to the upstairs bedrooms may be a challenge for some, but there is a primary bedroom on the ground floor if accessibility/mobility is a concern. The seating area isn’t large—a deep love seat (chair and a half?) and two side chairs, but it was plenty for our family, and curling up on the love seat with a book and a cup of coffee was divine. Bottom line: we’d definitely stay here again.

Quaint and Cozy

This was a beautiful cottage! Spic and span and very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay, we just want to let other potential renters know that this property is perfect for couples or family with children but not ideal for couples with furry babies like us, the owner of the property is right adjacent this cottage and there is no fence separating the two so we had to keep our Goldens on the leash or keep an eye on them the entire time so they wouldn't wander into their area (they also have a dog) we were hoping for complete privacy and were a bit disappointed that the description did not mention the cottage being right adjacent to the owner's house. The pond is great but not for fishing, the backyard is wooded and great to enjoy reading a book or relaxing! We enjoyed our stay but we wanted to share our experience so others can make a well-informed decision and there are no hidden surprises.

Beautiful cottage

We loved staying here. Quiet, we’ll stocked, super comfortable beds. We never got to meet the hosts but knew they were right there if we needed anything. Would come here again and highly recommend!!

Cozy cottage in horse country Va.

This cottage was the perfect place to stay for our nieces wedding at Bluemont Stable. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay cozy beds, nice towels, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

A CHRISTMAS "HALLMARK"

We were very pleased with our stay at "Windswept Inn". The hosts were very helpful. The location is near many activities. It was perfect for the holiday season, decorated and so very cozy. Kitchen is great if you like to cook. Will recommend it to friends!

Thanksgiving weekend get-a-way

We had a great time and the owners were incredibly helpful to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. We loved walking in their neighborhood and enjoyed the incredible beauty of the open land and also loved the neighbors horses and goats. Sunsets on these walks were incredible. There is so much to do all around and we enjoyed great hikes, wine tasting, good food, and fun breweries. It was an incredibly easy weekend with something for everyone!

Beautiful property in a beautiful location - perfect if you're living in the DC area looking for a weekend getaway, but also perfect if you're from anywhere else looking for a nice quiet place to take time off. The home is lovely, owners are very welcoming and responsive, area is wonderful. Highly recommend! Note that there is one bedroom downstairs easily accessible. The staircase to the two upstairs bedrooms may be difficult for little children or anyone with any kind of disability.

Very relaxing stay

We had a great time. Windswept is VERY clean and charming. It was ideal for us as it had very comfortable beds and we got to relax. Very close to many of the town we were planning to visit. Thank you to our hosts!

Southern Hospitality in Virginia's Hunt Country

The Windswept Inn was the perfect tonic for a three-night getaway for our family of four. A serene setting with every creature comfort provided, this property is one we will be returning to again. Your hosts, Eric and Jenny, go out of their way to anticipate your every need. Even when the power went out unexpectedly amidst the remnants of Hurricane Ida, they arrived on the scene with a supply of candles and flashlights and concern for their guests. The extra bonus for our kiddos were Eric and Jenny's own precious and delightful kiddos, and the four became fast friends. They even loaned ours their fishing rods, and our daughter caught her first fish on our last morning there. If you're on the fence about whether to book this one, do yourself a favor and snatch it up.

Perfection

There are places you stay in life that you will never forget; The Windswept is one of those places. Not only is the location amazing, but everything about this place is top notch and that absolutely includes the family that created this gem. You will experience excellent communication, a carriage house that has everything you could want (most likely more than you could imagine), a property that is well maintained and even has a small pond where you can catch some small bass! The Singleton family (a wonderful family) provides you with an unbelievable place to stay, amenities you rarely find anywhere else, and great recommendations for the area. You will find yourself wondering if you actually have to leave or planning your next trip.

It's just as pretty as in the photos! The master bedroom has a super comfy king memory foam mattress, the decor is English country, so cute with foxes and dachshunds and horses! The owners are super nice! The perfect, relaxing, get-away.

Beautiful “Windswept”

We had the privilege of staying in this gem recently and what an amazing place. So starting with the owners of the inn, Jennifer and Eric, you will want to be their forever friends. So kind and genuine! The inn is absolutely beautiful and the most comfortable place we have ever laid our heads away from home. You only need your clothes and toothbrush because they have absolutely thought of everything. The property is gorgeous! You will actually want to do the dishes because the view is breathtaking. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer. Seriously folks, don’t miss this one!

Great grown-up weekend getaway!

A friend and I escaped the city for a weekend getaway! The Windswept Inn is conveniently located near hiking, shopping, dining and recreation! We enjoyed our time! And the comfy accommodations, especially the heated blankets were perfect after an arduous hike up Raven's Rock.

A Breath of Fresh Air in VA

We stayed at Jennifer and Eric's beautiful property in rural VA. The home was tastefully decorated and had all the comforts of home. I appreciated the open kitchen and sitting area, spacious bedrooms each with its own thermostat and comfortable beds, lots of natural light throughout, and a garage for your car or, for us, a great space to set our fishing poles, shoes, etc. Jen and Eric were extremely easy to contact and very responsive to any questions or issues. The fishing pond in the backyard was a great perk for us "beginner fisherman". We caught 10 fish during our stay! Aside from the house, we enjoyed hiking on the Appalachian trail (5 minute drive), white water rafting and zip lining out of Harpers Ferry, WV (30 minute drive), swimming at the Round Hill Indoor Aquatics Pool (5 minute drive), and the food at the More Better Beer Garden (5 minute drive). I highly recommend staying at this property!!!
