Star of Texas est la destination idéale pour votre prochaine escapade entre amis et en famille. La maison principale dispose d'une grande cuisine entièrement équipée et de deux grands coins salon et repas pour votre plaisir. Il y a aussi trois chambres dans la maison principale, pouvant accueillir confortablement jusqu'à douze personnes. Suivez le chemin vers la maison d'hôtes unique, où vous trouverez un salon supplémentaire, une cuisine, une salle de bain complète et un espace de couchage dans le loft pour quatre. Les vues depuis les grandes fenêtres du chalet sont imbattables! Cela dit, vous êtes sûr de passer la majorité de votre temps à profiter du bar extérieur, du kiosque couvert et de la terrasse au bord de la rivière, avec des cyprès anciens vous protégeant du soleil de Hill Country.

De nombreux pourvoyeurs fluviaux de la région sont prêts à vous aider à planifier votre voyage fluvial prisé, le plus proche étant à environ 4-5 minutes à pied dans la rue. Great location in the river. The layout was perfect for our group and we enjoyed the outdoor deck in the evenings. Only thing we forgot was bug spray. I’d recommend having some when staying here. I’d recommend this location for those wanting g to enjoy a few days in the Canyon Lake area.

A few things need some attention but I sent the list and Vacay is on it. We all liked the location and spaciousness of the house and cottage. Great vacation for all my family!

Perfect Location!

We had a great time staying here! Everything was convenient and as advertised. The tube rental place is a one minute walk from the front door which was perfect for our group. We will for sure book this property again!

Quiet river house

House had lots of room and plenty of beds for our group. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a nice meal. Enjoyed sitting out by the beautiful river.

Beautiful spot, Plenty of rooms

The houses were great for our group of mothers and sons. Plenty of beds, great outdoor spaces with 2 decks. There are steep stairs to the lower deck and to the river so might be tricky for small kids or elderly. Kitchen had plenty of pots, pans utensils, bowls, etc.

Great Fall Break Getaway

We had a large group with varying ages-adults, kids and toddlers. We all enjoyed our time at this location! Beautiful view of the river and a quiet surrounding neighborhood. About 25 minutes to town and 23 minutes to Gruene. The back deck could stand a good dusting, as there were a lot of cobwebs around the pavilion and the lights didn't seem to work.

1. House needs a deep cleaning. Food, spider webs, dust was found under beds and couches, and in couches.2. Grass was not mowed/cut behind house to river.3. Lots of tree limbs and other on deck and sidewalks.4. Need additional table on decks by house.

The house was beautiful, and it had everything we needed. Having multiple outdoor areas was great for hanging out with the family. Beautiful view of the river. An ample number of sleeping areas for a family of 13. The Chairs by the river need to be thrown out. They collapsed on two of my family members. There should be a little more detail about the river access. It is not great for anyone who is older or out of shape. The backyard was not mowed and didn't get mowed until the day before we left. There are also two loose steps on the upper deck. Overall, the entire family enjoyed the stay, but we would look for a place that has easier access to the river.

Great place for a group

We stayed here with 3 different families and it’s a great setup for a big group like that. House and cottage were both clean. Beds aren’t the most comfy but that seems to be the case at most rental places. There’s a bit of deferred maintenance that could be done (some light bulbs missing or not working, covered deck had a ton of old dusty spiderwebs, etc) but really nothing that made any difference to us on our vacation. Overall we’d definitely stay again. We had our own tubes so we went upstream a bit and paid one of the outfitters a bit to park a couple vehicles and then just floated to the house, about a 3 hour float, it was perfect, did that twice and was a lot of fun.

Very cool and relaxing. The perfect place!

Not sure where to start....came with another couple with all our kids and it was the best place we've ever been to. The kids played outside constantly under the trees (not sure what kind they were). The water was clear and calm and so relaxing. We hardly were in the house. Don't get me wrong, the house is amazing too but the backyard is the coolest. There's even a little small "house" in the back where my two older kids stayed. It has a bathroom and gives them a sense of independence. We also ate some great BBQ, went to Gruene Hall, Whitewater Amphitheater and rented a boat for a couple days. I want the owners to sell me their place :). My wife and my friend's wife loved it too. My kids keep asking when we're going back.

Not clean

Definitely feel like it could be cleaner considering we have to pay a cleaning fee. The lamps beside the bed where covered in dust. The ac unit filter you could tell hadn’t been changed in about 2 years. Bug all over the night stands and floor. They used window units which is fine but need cleaning it’s smelt like moldy and musty in rooms.

I just needed a place for me, the kids and hubby to have some fun together as a family. Well....we found the place. This place was awesome. The entire back part of the property is shaded and there's an easy way to get in and out of the river. My husband tried fly fishing (but didn't catch anything). Next time we'll try the fishing guys out of Gruene. There's a bunk room at the front of the house that is perfect for all the kids. The living room and kitchen were good (not as nice as mine at home but it did fine). AC worked great but the main feature of this place was the back porch/ back yard. There's a grill and plenty of decks to sit, play, sleep or eat :). SkyRun was great helping get us settled and answering questions about the fun things to do in the area. We hated leaving.

Online pictures were deceiving. THE PICS NEED TO BE UPDATED. Bunk beds were posted in 2 different bedrooms but were not even there. Double beds, yes, but when you have older cousins that are teenager cousins and both sexes, they need bunks not beds. Dishwasher did not work! 1 roll of paper towels-only Pans were in bad shape 1 ply toilet paper Dining room table end by fireplace is broken Tons of leaves on walkways made them slick All outdoor areas were covered in leaves Shower door in hall bathroom was broken Split/heat/ac unit in bonus room did not put out heat - just cold air! cottage bathroom door drug the floor and almost impossible to close Lots of room Beautiful setting

We are terribly sorry to this guest that our website didn't reflect the newly purchased beds due to coordinating picture retakes to reflect fresh paint. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused. The dishwasher has never had any operational issues, so we wish this guest would have contacted us so we could've walked her through how to use it. We do advertise that a starter kit of supplies are provided. On occasion, the shower door is pulled off the tracks by guest misuse, and it's easily rehung if we are made aware of the issue. We would've been happy to assist. There is an electric heater in the cottage beneath the TV that is separate from the wall unit. We sincerely wish this guest had reached out so we could've directed her to its location, so they would've been more comfortable. Falling leaves are common during the hill country fall season with surrounding large, lush trees, but we do routinely attend to leaves. We ask that guests report any issues, so we can assist while they're still in-house. We want their stay to be the most enjoyable it can be.

It was okay

Most of the outdoor lighting does not work. The house did not appear to have been cleaned recently. The furniture is older and some of it is broken. The location was definitely the best part.

The house has a nasty smell I wouldn’t let my dog on that furniture it’s nasty the furniture I’m the cottage is nasty not worth 3600 then we get a knock on the door saying they are going to shut off the water bc the bill wasn’t paid
