Une vue imprenable sur l'océan - Whale House Hawaii

Le Whale House dispose d'une immense véranda enveloppante offrant une vue imprenable sur l'océan et le jardin. Cette maison de 1820 pieds carrés comprend une cuisine complète avec un lave-vaisselle. Deux suites Master identiques se trouvent au deuxième étage, chacune avec un très grand lit king-size et une salle de bain privée. il y a deux chambres supplémentaires au rez-de-chaussée (chacune avec un lit king size). Les deux chambres du rez-de-chaussée partagent une salle de bain (située dans la chambre avec vue sur le jardin). L'accès au rez-de-chaussée principal (2e étage) se fait par les deux escaliers extérieurs. Le Whale House dispose également d'une douche chaude extérieure en bambou pour éliminer le stress de la journée. Nous avons des cocotiers en fruits, des papayes, des bananes et des ananas sur la propriété luxuriante de la moitié d’un acre.

Pour votre plaisir, des vélos, un grand barbecue à gaz, des glacières, des planches à roulettes, du matériel de plongée, un hamac et des jumelles sont fournis gratuitement pour que vous puissiez profiter des sentiers, des environs et de tout ce que la grande île a à offrir. L’enroulement autour de Lanai offre une vue magnifique sur l’océan et la brise des alizés ou vous permettra d’observer les baleines au cours de leur saison de migration. La maison des baleines est située à Kaloli Point, où il est dit que le climat est le meilleur du côté de Hilo ... certains disent mieux que Kona.

Une chambre coûte 150 $ / nuit. Chaque invité supplémentaire de plus de 2 personnes coûte 20 $ de plus par nuit. Toutefois, si vous êtes un groupe de 2 et que vous voulez deux chambres séparées, cela va coûter 20 $ de plus par nuit. Quoi qu'il en soit, seul un invité ou un groupe d'invités reste à la maison. Ce n'est pas partagé avec des étrangers.

All about the view

Met all of our needs. Wonderful porch with wonderful views. Had a decent stocked kitchen for meals, the scuba gear and beach towels on hand were helpful. Bikes could use some love. Wonderful hikes nearby property.

What a great place!

This place was very thought out and had everything you could need for an epic Hawaiian vacation. Quiet and beautiful setting. Peeper frogs all night to help you sleep. Gardens were cool and the ocean front was great for photos. Close enough to everything but felt like we got away! Great space for a family or small group.

Whale of a House & Whale of a View!

Our group loved the Whale House! There were 5 adults in our group and we had plenty of room. The lanai is spacious with plenty of seating (loved the rocking chairs) and the view is truly spectacular. We stayed 4 nights at the WH and 10 nights on the island. Our best photos during our trip were taken from the WH lanai, the private lot across the street (for Whale House guests only), and on hikes just down the dead end road on the trails. The garden in back is lovely--but we spent most of our time out front to take in the amazing ocean views! The various pieces of local art throughout the home added a nice extra touch. We've stayed in a number of vacation rentals and none were as well appointed & stocked as this one--toiletries, TP, kitchen utensils, towels, detergent for the washer, games, books, beach towels, coolers, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards, etc. House was very clean and beds were comfy with super soft sheets. As others have mentioned, the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay hassle free. Location is about 10-15 minutes from the closest grocery store & restaurants so plan accordingly. David the host was very responsive to questions before our stay and after we arrived. The key to the 3rd bedroom downstairs was not there at check-in but when I contacted the host, someone was there shortly thereafter with the key. If we are blessed to return to the Hilo area, we would stay at the Whale House again. Mahalo nui loa to our hosts!!!

Exceeded all of our expectations!

Beautiful property! Gardens are relaxing. Well stocked. The amenities were helpful! Bicycles, boogie boards, water shoes, ice chests, chairs, beach towels, to list a few. Really no need to leave the property. Beautiful home. Awesome vacation for our 4 generation family!! The view was spectacular.

Amazing view

The Whale House was super clean when we arrived. The beds are very comfortable, especially the soft sheets. David and Chrystal have thought of everything! I loved the beautiful grounds. Every day we walked out to the ocean, and listened to the waves crashing. We have family on this side of the island, so they took us on many excursions. We ate at Kaleo’s in Orchidland twice. I highly recommend it. We took a day trip to the Kona side and enjoyed swimming at Hāpuna Beach. There is so much to see and experience.

Great stay at the Whale House

The Whale House is a beautiful property and was a great base for all of our adventures on the big island. Watching the sunrise over the ocean every morning was a special treat. The house is very well appointed, very clean, and the beds where all comfortable. The only suggestion from our party was about the downstairs suite. There is no A/C which wasn't a major issue temperature-wise but getting decent airflow required all of the windows to be open at night and coqui frogs were incredibly loud even with multiple fans running.

Whale House Stay

The house was great with a superb location. It can be a bit hot inside the house in the late afternoon and early evening but we didn't care because we preferred to spend the whole evening out on the covered front deck watching the ocean. The house has lots of windows to let the breezes through and they provide a lot of fans if needed. The accompanying oceanfront lot across the street was also a great place to spend the mornings and evenings. The house had a lot of amenities that made the stay very pleasureable.

The Whale House near Hilo

Beautiful property with a mini rainforest in the back and surf crashing on the front. The wrap around deck is amazing. Interior is great with two bedrooms upstairs each with a private bath and two downstairs bedrooms. Note there is a separate entrance for the two lower level bedrooms. This is one of the best apportioned Vrbos I’ve stayed at. Beach gear including coolers and chairs, umbrellas for the rain, bug spray, card games, a full kitchen with pre frozen ice packs, and more. It’s clear that the hosts want their guests to be able to enjoy their stay. Thank you!

Amazing property

Beautifully Special

The Whale house is stocked with everything you need, AND MORE!! The mural on the outside is only complimented by the consistant Hawaiian theme throughout the house, including the octapus in the lower bath. Most of the art is from Tiffany Prose, an amazing Hawaiian artist. Very comfortable home. The frogs are loud at night but did not hinder our rest. We spent most of our time on the deck looking out to the ocean. The chairs near the cliff were a bonus. We met a neighbor that was picking snails off the cliff, O'pee. Yummy. We will be back!

Magical hawaii

We had the most amazing time at the whale house. The amenities were very helpful, the property was amazing and centrally located to many of the adventures we wanted to have. It was so nice to return to each day as a point of relaxation. The ONLY reason we said 4 stars overall was because as we were packing one of the stairs rotted out and my husband fell through and injured himself. The owners keep this place up kept, it was a screw that sheered off, nothing annyone could have predicted. The neighbors came running and were a great help, however the owner seemed more worried about his stairs than the guy who fell through them. I understand it was all kind of a crazy situation so we don’t always respond as expected. Otherwise I highly recommend this place. Everyone needs to visit the whale house!

Whale House Love!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property! Everything was decorated beautifully & had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The outside area (deck and backyard) we’re out favorite places to enjoy. Our only wish is that we had stayed longer to enjoy it more! Great option for our family of 7 - plenty of space to accommodate everyone comfortably.

Excellent Visit at the Whale House

We had an excellent visit at the Whale house. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck with a stunning view of the ocean, every morning. The house was clean, hosts were prompt in responding and the location was beautiful. We would absolutely stay here again.

What an amazing property! Fantastic hosts, we did not want to leave. Loved the lanai with a beautiful view. We had 7 adults and it was perfect for our family while we visited family near by. WOW WOW WHALE HOUSE

Beautiful property! Particularly loved the lava that remained as part of the landscape. Thoroughly enjoyed the night sounds of wild life and the ocean. Property was immaculate with all provisions imaginable. Glass front allowed total enjoyment of the ocean view. Highly recommend!

We LOVED the whale house!! Two rooms upstairs for the adults and a cool little apartment for the kids downstairs! It couldn’t have been better laid out or more beautiful! Clean, amazing sunrises, awesome neighborhood!! The only compliant is no beach access- but we knew that going in. I would highly recommend this amazing property to anyone who wants a true authentic big island experience! Mahalo

Restoration hideaway

We had a lovely few days staying at Whale House. Even though the days were intermittently drizzly, there was no shortage peaceful space to enjoy the scenery. The art inside the house was delightful! The house was well provisioned for food and fun. Bonus was that it was close enough for daily outings and adventures but far enough out of "town" to feel secluded (and secure). We ran into a little snafu with the keys and lock box. The hosts were on top of it! Highly recommend!

Peaceful setting with a beautiful views

We enjoyed a wonderful week with family at the Whale House. We spent most of our time at the house on the lanai, relishing the ocean views/breezes, sunrises, family meals/games or just relaxing in the hammock chairs. The kitchen was well-equipped for our family of eight. We appreciated the variety of beach equipment such as beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and coolers. There was even sunscreen and bug spray! There were a number of bicycles available but they are not in the best condition, so they are only good for short rides around the neighborhood. Since we had four couples,, we used all four bedrooms and it was uncomfortable for the ones who did not have a bathroom.. The one bathroom on the lower level can only be accessed by going through the other bedroom. There is no common bathroom even on the main floor. The house is in a quiet neighborhood on the coast south of Hilo, so it is a 20-30 minute drive to most of the restaurants, stores and beaches Kona is a 2 hour drive across the island on a hilly two-lane highway. Overall, this was a lovely place to be all together in paradise.

Sibling Reunion

My husband’s siblings and sisters-in-law/brother-in-law gathered together for a Hawaiian vacation. We had a lovely time together exploring the island and sharing a house was the perfect way to spend quality time together. We ate meals on the lanai, watched the ocean, read books, played cards, and watched funny videos. There was plenty of room for everyone! (Two couples shared the downstairs bathroom which did require access through a bedroom) The area was lovely and quiet as it was more remote. The neighborhood was high end and felt very safe. We were about 20-30 minutes drive to Hilo. This was a perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway.

Love the Whale House

What a wonderful place to stay. My husband and me, brother and his wife and two kids loved our stay here. David was great at answering questions promptly. Everything was as expected. We loved the lanai and the easy walk to watch the waves. Everything was clean and comfortable. 10/10 highly recommend!

Whale house stay

The house and property are beautiful. Plenty of room for our family of 6. Kitchen is well stocked. The lanai and the view from it is amazing! We saw numerous whales during our stay. So many extras like beach towels, snorkel gear, coolers, chairs, etc. that were available for our use was great. Only negative is the musty basement, but that's understandable with the high humidity and that it is not always in use.

We absolutely loved the Whale House and wish we had planned a longer trip!

The Whale House is fantastic, and everything was excellent. My wife and my in-laws were absolutely enamored and took a million pictures of the place and the view. My mother on the other hand is not a fan of birds and frogs, so she slept with the windows closed to her room instead of enjoying the Hawaiian ambiance. The hosts were very responsive and thought of everything you could imagine to make the stay comfortable and effortless, even for a family of 7! I would gladly stay here again.
