It used the characterful original trullo as a springboard for the creation of a perfectly designed modern holiday home that is inserted into the surrounding landscape in such a way as to make the most of shade, views and breeze... Pinnacolo offers easy living at its easiest!

Inside: Trullo Pinnacolo develops over a lovingly restored original trullo and two contemporary wings that are connected by a shaded outdoor living area.

To the rear of the property, the original trullo houses a cosy living space, a dining room whose large round dining table reflects the circular architecture of the trullo cone, and a guest bathroom.

The trullo leads into a bright, modern kitchen which in turn flows out onto a large external living and dining area with views down to the pool via a wide staircase that runs between the two contemporary wings.

The two wings are home to Trullo Pinnacolo's six bedrooms (four doubles and two double-twins) and a poolside living room. On the upper level, there are four bedrooms - a double and a double-twin in each wing. These bedrooms are identical in size and feature en-suite shower rooms and access to a terrace with superb views over the pool and the surrounding countryside.

On the lower level, accessed from the pool terrace at the bottom of the central steps, are two more double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. Due to their generous proportions, they may be considered as the principal bedrooms.

Accommodation at Trullo Pinnacolo is completed by a beautifully bright summer living room accessed from the pool area.

Outside: indoor and outdoor spaces combine seamlessly at Trullo Pinnacolo, creating the ideal ambience for a holiday.

One of the loveliest al fresco spots is the central living and dining area outside the kitchen. Shaded by a large sail, this space offers superb views down to the pool and over the surrounding countryside.

The wide central stairway between the two contemporary wings is flanked by convivial lounge areas furnished with comfortable day bed mattresses and cushions. This space has been ingeniously designed to create pockets of natural shade throughout the day.

At the bottom of the stairway is the fabulous pool area, equipped with plenty of stylish sunloungers and served by a shaded barbecue and dining area. The long, narrow pool fits perfectly with the sleek design of the contemporary wings, while its black mosaic tiles have both an aesthetic and a practical function (the water warms up quicker).

The bedrooms on the upper floor of the two wings have access to a pair of panoramic terraces from where, arguably, the views are at their best.

Due to its location, the internet network at this villa is slower than in many of our properties. While it does allow standard browsing, it is not adequate for online streaming or remote working.

The number of steps that must be negotiated to get into and/or around this property might make it unsuitable for people with mobility problems.

This property is surrounded by countryside, some of which is unfenced and may include drops or steep slopes. We therefore recommend that younger children are supervised by an adult when exploring the grounds.

You may also wish to know that the pool has a single depth of 1.5m.

Parts of the access road to this property are quite narrow, so we recommend guests rent smaller cars rather than large people carriers or mini vans.

Stray cats may be seen in the villa grounds; villa staff will discourage their presence and we advise all clients to do the same, however we cannot guarantee that they will stay away from outside furniture.
Trullo Pinnacolo is situated in one of the most picturesque valleys of the Valle d'Itria, just 15 minutes’ drive from the charming old town centres of Ostuni, Cisternino and Ceglie Messapica. The Valle d'Itria is best known for its trulli, and nowhere are these more in evidence than in the picture-postcard town of Alberobello. Locorotondo, and Martina Franca are also well worth a visit. If you’re looking for beaches, the Adriatic coast offers long stretches of sand and some well recommended lidos from which to enjoy it. Further afield, Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto and Monopoli are justly famous towns waiting for you to unlock their secrets.
