La Sebastopol Guest House est moderne, spacieuse et sereine. Il s’agit d’un bĂątiment isolĂ© et autonome dotĂ© de multiples puits de lumiĂšre, d’un haut plafond avec poutres apparentes et de sols en bĂ©ton poli. Le lit est succulent alors vous dormirez comme sur un nuage gigantesque :) Il y a l'air conditionnĂ© et la chaleur pour rester au frais l'Ă©tĂ© et au chaud en hiver, il y a une cuisine complĂšte, wifi puissant, Smart TV et une station d'accueil pour la musique. Les portes françaises s'ouvrent sur un patio privĂ© recouvert d'une tonnelle de vignes. This was our second time staying at this wonderful location and we were so glad we came back. This property is just as described; all the nice, warm touches that Wendy And Lisa provide really make you feel like you’re coming home. You can tell there is so much pride in their home with all the little details. Don’t hesitate to book this lovely home. It has everything I look for in a place to stay, most importantly, clean and comfortable and well equipped and the location couldn’t be better for visiting wineries around the area. Thank you Wendy and Lisa for hosting us once again. We will definitely be back!

Slice of hraven

A wonderful relaxing stay at Wendy and Lisa’s home! The space is spacious and tranquil. All the necessities are provided to accommodate your needs. We stayed during the cooler time of the year but there is a lovely outdoor patio for warmer weather! Our hosts Wendy and Lisa have become friends and we look forward to a visit again in the near future!

Beautiful cottage in Wine Country

My wife and I booked a stay for three nights at this beautiful cottage. The discrimination was spot on and the host was very pleasant and welcoming upon our arrival. Wendy and Lisa have a beautiful property and were very helpful with suggestions on places to visit and information on restraints in the area. We will definitely consider staying here on our next visit to Sonoma county.

Great place for a retreat

Quiet, quaint, big and clean

We came to the area for wine tasting and this was the perfect spot! The "cottage" is large and open with plenty of natural light. It is very comfortable and very well appointed. The owner was engaging and really cared about the quality of our stay. Do it!

Perfection

We spent a week here last week and everything about it was perfect! This property was exactly as listed. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Home away from home is an understatement, truly an oasis. The attention to details, cleanliness and the welcoming hospitality of the hosts was unparalleled. This location was perfect to visiting wine country or just enjoying the beautiful area. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Serene Oasis yet Close to Everything

We loved our stay here. Wendy was super helpful and gave us great tips for what to do and explore. The guest house is lovely and filled with wonderful amenities. The private patio is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon wine-sipping watching the occasional hummingbird fly by listening to the fountain under the grapevine arbor. The decor is lovely and has a relaxed feel. You can walk to a nearby park and to “the Barlow” - which was a fun adventure. Lots of great restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. This rental is a gem.

Great Place!

What a great guest house! The flower gardens and path leading to the gate and front door were perfect, and provided delightful views, scents, and a sense of privacy. We really felt like we were able to ‘get away from it all’ in these accommodations. At the same time, the location could not have been more perfect for our outings. We were able to walk into town for morning coffee and late evening meals. The recommendations provided by the hosts proved to be some of the best meals we have ever had! And the location also gave us the opportunity to drive for day trips to hike Bodega Bay, drive along the Russian River, and see and hike in the Redwoods. Close enough also to spend a day on a guided winery tour, and a late afternoon getting massages. It was perfect for what we were looking to do. One issue did arise, but that was addressed promptly and fairly by the hosts. We would definitely stay here again – there is way more to see and do in Sebastopol and the surrounding areas than we were able to accomplish, and we loved this little hideaway!

A garden oasis for your stay in wine country!

We've rented many flats/cottages & stayed at numerous inns. This property is the best. Lisa & Wendy clearly thought of every comfort & it felt more like staying next to someone we knew vs. the person with the keys. First, the communication is excellent. We received responses immediately & Wendy reached out several times during our stay to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. We arrived to music playing, flowers in the main room & bath, fresh eggs from the hens, chilled iced tea and a pitcher of water with fresh mint. Lisa & Wendy provided numerous recommendations and several free or buy one/get one free tastings at wine shops and top end wineries. Wherever we went we received a little special treatment because of the owners' many friends in the area. The cottage is spotless, very comfortable, quiet, and surrounded by gardens. Many places in town are less than a mile away & an easy walk. We had a friend visiting one day & Wendy offered us her home patio to give us extra space. That is an example of the hospitality you can expect. This is a very convenient location to explore Sebastopol, Healdsberg, Forestville, Bodega Bay & all of Sonoma. Highly recommended & we will return.

There were so many good things about our stay. It was quaint and close to the city.The owner took her time to explain the places to go. She brought freshly laid eggs. Communication was good, mostly by text. She gave us an early check in. But there were a few things that caused me to rate it lower than a 5. The list of rules is a book long, and they require a picture of you before you can rent the place and require that you pay an extra $65 for insurance in case you damage the property. Maybe that's normal. But, most places don't require you to squeegee the shower every time you shower or ask you not to cook bacon on your last morning. We followed the rules. But the worst part is that the day that I returned, I noticed a $150 cleaning fee on VRBO. I texted Wendy to see what that was about. She said that they spent 3.5 hours extra to clean the kitchen. The kitchen is a small strip and we only used it to cook breakfast and I filled the dishwasher and didn't start it like she asked, cleaned the pans and wine glasses and left them on the drip board. Left a loaf of bread on the counter for her chickens.I left a pile of dirty towels on the ground for her in the bathroom to be helpful.(she complained about that.) My advise to you, if you stay here don't use the kitchen. I spoke with VRBO and they said that I am not responsible, because it doesn't say in the rules that they will charge extra for cleaning. Still, it was just regular clean up. I was unpleasantly surprised.

Property is very clean, beautifully landscaped. The "guest house" is a standalone one bedroom building. Very spacious and well equipped, thoughtfully decorated. Good location, quiet street. Wendy kept communications with us by text prior to arrival and met us at check in to tell us the do's and don'ts of the place. She went the extra mile with us, making us a reservation at a nearby winery when I thought we were shut out. My best recommendation is to use Wendy's notebook binder of recommended places to visit and eat, or ask her and follow her advice. Tell her your plans and she'll give constructive hints. Thanks for everything, Wendy. We had a great time!

Cottage in Sebastopol

The hosts made contact with me immediately. They made check in and meet up really easy. The cottage was spotless and also easy to keep clean, A wonderful garden with hummingbirds greeted me. Also, a quiet patio with privacy. The bed was in great shape and super comfy. The kitchen was fully equipped including a French Press coffee maker. The hosts were more than kind and steered me toward a great restaurant that was very close by. I will gladly come back for the peace and quiet!

Beautiful spot

My wife and I started for two nights. This space is impeccably maintained all the way around. Everything was great and all the recommendations made by one of the owners Wendy turned out to be spot on winners. If you stay here and like to hike, you must make the drive up to Armstrong Park—absolutely spectacular—we liked it more than Muir Woods. I highly recommend this space and Sebastopol as well—a great location.
