À propos de cet hébergement
3 Bed in Crayke (oc-y056)
A traditional stone-built Yorkshire cottage full of character is perfect for families or friends looking for a relaxing holiday in the Vale of York. Located in the pretty village of Crayke, you are just two miles from the Georgian town and foodie paradise of Easingwold. On the edge of the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is a delightful location for exploring the picturesque countryside and is perfect for walkers and cyclists alike.
This charming two-storey property boasts traditional wooden beams, beautiful original fireplaces, exposed stonework and brickwork and some original artwork. On the ground floor, you enter the dining room with a striking ornamental fireplace where you can linger over delicious meals rustled up in the contemporary kitchen. There are doors from the dining room accessing the lounge and kitchen. The lounge is a cosy space to socialise with a comfortable sofa and two chairs to chat or watch your favourite films on the Smart TV. A wood burner ensures you stay warm all year round. On the first floor, you’ll find a king-size bedroom with an en-suite, a walk-in shower (one step up), a double bedroom and a bedroom with full-size bunk beds (only the bottom bunk bed is available). There is also a contemporary bathroom on this floor. Outside, you can enjoy a large mature back garden with a pond and outside seating.
The city of York is only 14 miles away, where you can enjoy some lunch or afternoon tea at the famous Bettys Tea Rooms during sightseeing and shopping. Nearby Yearsley Woods (5 miles) is a lovely place for hiking and mountain bike trails. The market town of Helmsley in the North York Moors National Park is just 13 miles and has a medieval castle to explore. Walkers can follow the three-mile trail from Helmsley to Rievaulx Abbey.
