16th-century hunting lodge with pool and garden within a historic private villa

La Rantegosa is an ancient hunting lodge dating back to the late 1500s, nestled in the private grounds of Villa Bombrini. It offers its guests every comfort in a unique and exclusive setting, just a stone's throw from the centre of Chiavari and the sea. Guests have access to up to 4 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, sleeping a total of max 10 people, as well as the ground floor lounges, kitchen, garden and terrace equipped for dining and barbecues, swimming pool with sun loungers and deckchairs, and 4 parking spaces.

The house is located within the private grounds of Villa Bombrini (not open to visitors), with which it shares the exclusive and relaxing atmosphere provided by the surrounding nature. An oasis of peace and coolness, yet only a 10-minute walk from the historic centre and 15 minutes from the train station and beaches of Chiavari: whether you decide to explore Tigullio, the Cinque Terre or Genoa, or spend the day in our swimming pool or at the beach, you can forget about your cars parked in our car park (it is not supervised but is within the property and not accessible to strangers).

The four rooms, configured in different ways, are all equipped with air conditioning, Smart TV, mini fridge, safe, hairdryer and toiletries.
They are all located on the first floor, which can also be reached by lift (unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs as it is too narrow).

Room configuration (see photo gallery): two large rooms with a double bed or, alternatively, two single beds and a bathroom with shower; a suite with a double bedroom, sitting room wit sofa bed (that turns into 2 singles)and bathroom with bathtub; a smaller room with a queen-size bed and bathroom with shower (room available with at least 7 guests).
Unless specified otherwise, all beds will be made up as doubles.

Guests also have access to: a fully equipped kitchen with laundry area, a dining room, and a living room that overlooks the garden with swimming pool. In addition, for exclusive use, there is a garden at the front of the house, a swimming pool with hydromassage bench, sun loungers and deckchairs, and a terrace with gazebo, tables and outdoor chairs.
The swimming pool, for the exclusive use of guests of La Rantegosa, is approximately 1 metre deep and has a diameter of approximately 6 metres.

NEW FOR 2026: starting this year, you can request a private chef service for your special dinners. The service must be reserved at the time of booking or well in advance. Please do not hesitate to ask for more information!

Infants up to 2 years of age stay free of charge.
Only in the Yellow Room (the suite with living room) and in the Red Room is it possible to request the addition of a free folding cot for infants.
Pets are not allowed.
Breakfast is not provided.
The private garden of the house, for the exclusive use of guests, borders other properties.
Please note that my family and I live in some of the properties within the main villa, which is why we sometimes use a side passageway in the garden of the house (always with the utmost discretion).
Notes:
- Children aged up to two years stay for free.
Up to two folding cots for children aged under two are available free of charge.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Breakfast is not included.
- The private garden of the house is for the exclusive use of guests and borders other properties. It is expressly forbidden to explore the main villa and park.

CLEANING:
The booking includes a final clean of the house, bed linen and towels, as well as microfibre towels for the pool or sea.
Bookings of more than seven nights are entitled to a free house clean (excluding the kitchen) with a linen change halfway through the stay. Customers who wish to take advantage of this service must notify us at the time of booking, as it must be booked in advance.
Any additional cleaning or linen changes are subject to an extra charge (to be paid on site) and must be requested at the time of booking.
At check-out, the kitchen must be left tidy with no washing up, food leftovers or rubbish.
