Skiddaw Heights - sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

As you enter the property there is an instant feeling of being at home, as your welcomed into the heart of the property, with plenty of space for walking gear and jackets. The spacious living and dining room provide a lovely space to unwind after a day of adventures. With a comfy corner sofa, armchair and coffee table that surround the Smart TV, it is a lovely space to chill out in whilst enjoying a good film. Views from the living room take in Keswick and the surrounding fells.

The stylish, modern kitchen is a fantastic space to cook lovely meals for your party; kitted out with an electric hob, oven, microwave and full-sized fridge/ freezer to store all your supplies. Cleaning up will be no problem with a dishwasher for your use, or use the washing up as an excuse to enjoy those beautiful views.
The property benefits from two bedrooms, one master suite and a bunk bedroom. The master suite houses a king-sized bed, Smart TV and has been decorated in calming neutrals which make you instantly relaxed and ready for a great night's sleep. The bunk bedroom can be used for both children and adults and has plenty of storage for all your belongings. Both bedrooms are made up with luxury linen and towels. There is also a family bathroom with shower/ bath, WC and sink. Enjoy a relaxing bubble bath after a long day exploring the town and local fells.

One of the highlights of the property is its fantastic garden space. Enjoy a warm summer evening on the patio with a glass of something as you take in the views. When it starts to get a bit chilly, why not sink into the hot tub and bubble your troubles away whilst enjoying the stunning views towards Skiddaw.

There is private parking for 1 car, further on-street parking available, and also a garage suitable for secure bike storage.
This fabulous cottage is approximately 0.5 miles from the independent shops and pubs, 1.5 mile walk to see the famous Castlerigg Stone Circle. Why not make a picnic and wander down to the beautiful lake to follow all or part of the 10-mile route along its shores or to hire canoes/kayaks to take yourselves out on the water.
Being next door to Fellside Hideaway may prove ideal for two families looking to holiday nearby.

Had a fantastic stay ,close enough to the town centre and all amenities .The property was perfect and well equipped.Hot tub was an added benefit, with a garden for our 2 dogs to enjoy.Our first time visiting Keswick, we will definitely be back .

Amazing location

Perfect location on the most quietest street ever. I can't rave enough about the stunning views. Great garden which was amazing for our dog and totally secure. Loved the gifts for our dog too. Lovely touch. The new sofa in the living room was very cosy. Beds were so comfy. Staff in Keswick Cottages were extremely helpful.

Great place, great views

Very well organised. Great place with all needed facilities. Not too far away from shops & restaurants but not too close either. Great heating system. Great view of hills & town that may lead to a lot of time at the windows

Short Stay Review

I had a very enjoyable stay at Skiddaw Heights. The accommodation was perfect for what I was looking for and also very walkable to both the town centre and Derwentwater. The hot tub was very much appreciated after a day's walking. It may have been my first stay in this property but I don't think it will be my last.

wonderful week stay

Thank you for this nice and confortable little house in a very quiet road. We enjoyed our stay and found everything within easy walking distance, Keswick shopping area, cinema and bus stops. Thank you also for the many tips to get around and go for walks. It was nice to have the heating on since the weather was quite wet. The beds are really good even if the bunk beds are a bit tight for 2 adults and the bedroom small. We will definitely come back

Good location and well equipped

This was just what we needed to be close to family staying in Keswick. A great base with a parking spot (parking can be challenging in Keswick!) The hot tub was lovely and the views were great. The kitchen had everything needed (the cutlery is in an hidden drawer in a bigger drawer) and all was exactly as described eg no shower gel just hand wash. It was well heated and nicely decorated.

Short break

We had a lovely stay in this accommodation. It had everything we needed but just felt a like sparse. A few homely touches would have been nice. It was chilly on an evening it would have been nice to have a fire of some sort in the living room or some cosy blankets. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we found the property very nice.

Lovely bungalow with amazing views

Bungalow has amazing views from lounge and kitchen. Lovely kitchen with plenty of storage space and bonus having dishwasher. Super comfy bed in the main bedroom and great to have plenty, practical furniture such as wardrobe and draws and not just a few hangers and shelves. As in previous reviews the settee is uncomfortable especially sitting for long periods of time. Hot tub was great although felt a bit weird going out the front door to go through gate to steps down to it. It's not far into the centre about 5-10 min walk and in a nice quiet area. All in all it was a great place and would recommend it. Keswick Cottage staff were really friendly and helpful.

Late booking - October short break

Last minute booking - staff at Keswick Cottages were really helpful and the owners brilliantly responsive. Very quiet residential location, great views from the back and only a bit less than a 10 mins walk into Keswick. Comfortable bed in the main bedroom. Easy to control the temperature in the property (not always the case on rentals). Well equipped kitchen. TVs in both the lounge and main bedroom were very good. The sofa in the lounge wasn’t the most practical or comfortable compared to other places where we’ve stayed. Hot tub was a real bonus. Would we stay again… yes!

Excellent location, very clean and very well equipped.

Very well equipped property with off street parking and plenty of off street parking, located within 10 minutes walk of the town centre. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the hot tub was very welcome, particularly during a hot period of weather. Beds were very comfortable. Only minor quibble was that there did not appear to be a bin into which to deposit our general refuse, so we had to bag it up and put it into the blue bin.
