Lovely bungalow which gives a home from home feeling, the owner Roger met us at the property when we arrived and was very informative. Ideal for visiting different places in the area and also lovely walks straight from the door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it as a place to stay.
Good location, suited our needs, be better when itâs finished off.
Cleaners left cobwebs by the sofas, ceilings, bedâs and pillows uncomfortable for us.
Loved the property and location and the owner of the property was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only problem with the holiday was being able to communicate with the property management company as they could not contact us as they had wrong email information. It did not matter in the end as we spoke to the property owner and he was very helpful and obliging.
We absolutely loved staying at Rogerâs home in Keswick! The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. We hope to get back there again!
Despite the rain we had a fantastic time in this excellent property. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. There is seating outside on the patio which is also accessible and a shallow slope from the drive to the property. The surrounding area is stunning and we didnât need to travel too far to find places to visit. Keswick Pencil Museum, Theatre by the Lake, Derwent Water and the railway walk were very close and well worth a visit. The owner was easily contactable and flexible with our checking out time which was really helpful. Highly recommended.
On arrival we were greeted by the owner who gave us some helpful information about the cottage and surrounding area. We stayed here for 6 nights whilst on a hiking trip. The directions to the cottage were spot on and the cottage itself was clean with good facilities especially for walkers/cyclists as there was an outside area for bikes and muddy shoes, clothing. The cottage had a washer/dryer, wifi, sky, good basic equipment in the kitchen and the bedrooms were clean and very comfortable. The bathroom had a lovely shower and bath tub too. Keswick is just a 20 minute walk/5minute drive and the views surrounding the cottage were stunning. This was a great area central to everywhere we visited and there were good facilities in the town including supermarket, nice pubs/cafes and shops. We would definitely stay again.
Clean, quiet location in Keswick. Nicely furnished. Easy access to walking in the Lake District and a 20-25 minute walk from town center, which is a great option when the roads are choked with traffic.
A very cosy, relaxed and well equipped house. Everything you need for a pleasant basevfrom which to explore Keswick. The host was helpful . The house has lots of character and we particularly enjoyed the original art work.
A wonderful cozy, clean and very well equipped bungalow! Took in-laws with mobility problems and the access and walk in shower was great.
Roger was quick and easy to communicate with and met us to explain everything for check in. Had a fantastic few days in the Lakes.....just breathtaking as always!!
Couldnât have been better. The property had everything you could need. We loved the well stocked board game cupboard and sky tv!
It was really clean & cozy. The garden space looked lovely - unfortunately we arrived in December so couldnât enjoy it but I imagine in summer it would be perfect. Good views from the property. Itâs about 15 minute walk into Keswick, but a few minutes drive.
We will definitely book again!
Stayed outside Keswick many times but first times staying in Keswick.
Bungalow was perfect.
If you want somewhere comfortable spotless and with everything you need for your stay pinecrofts is the place
. Nothing else to say.
Roger was perfect host.
We shall return
Absolutely gorgeous bungalow, perfectly situated for strolling into Keswick and with glorious views out of (almost) every window. Perfect for people with access needs and extremely comfortable. Roger the owner is friendliness and charm itself snd makes you feel very welcome.
We had a great stay in Keswick at this property. The house is a short walk from the centre of the town and also near an entry point into the Keswick to Threlkeld cycle path which is a great walk along the river and away from from the traffic.
The property was just what we needed. Well equipped, spacious and with a good outside space which was used as we had some good weather. The front of the house is near a main road, but sitting in the lounge at the back you couldnât hear any road noise. The drive way at the back of the house has plenty of space (could probably fit 4 standard sized cars) so parking for the 2 cars we had was ample.
Lovely property, would certainly look to rebook here if/when we head back to The Lakes.
Communication with the owner when needed was first rate.
Lovely comfortable bungalow in really good location. Loved that we could walk to Keswick along the disused railway track. Easy to get around by car or bus from the house.
Lovely property just on the outskirts of Keswick, an easy walk to the pubs and shops along the old railway line. The bungalow is spacious and a teal home from home, very comfortable!
We had a great week at Roger's bungelow. Very comfy in beautiful surroundings.
Would have been tricky for a disabled person which we thought we needed but actually didn't.
Would thoroughly recommend the property, thanks Roger.
Born in Keswick many years ago, returning home in the early nineties after serving in the British Army, I am now retired after 23 years owning a local business offering mid to high end furnishings from curtains to fitted kitchens. Great pride is taken as year on year I improve Pinecroft to ensure my guests are pleased with their choice. Try to keep it relaxed and meet guests on arrival if I can.
If relaxation is high on your list of priorities then Pinecroft is for you. Spacious living accomodation on one level plus lots of out door space and parking make Pinecroft a nice place to be whatever the weather. A 20 minute walk along the old railway line / footpath will take you into town or jump on a bus at the nearby bus stops, Penrith - Keswick and Keswick to Ambleside. No need to drive yet far enough away from the hussle of a busy town if you want to chill.
Pinecroft is deceptive as it is tucked away in its own gardens. It has been designed deliberately for relaxation with quality fittings throughout. The large walk in shower is lovely and refreshing and the steel bath allows for a long soak if you prefer. The bath even acts as a speaker for your music (ask owner). Original paintings on every wall to be admired. Outside there are different patio areas to sit and enjoy the sunshine. BBQ area is quite unique, In Nov 2025 a new dedicated EV charging facility has been added.
