We had a great stay at Fellseeker, the location was excellent right in the heart of Keswick.
It was great to have a car park space and the instructions from Keswick Cottages before arrival were clear and detailed.
One or two areas of the flat could do with a touch of paint and were a bit scruffy but the living room was great after a day out and the kitchen had everything we needed.
Beds were really comfy and the showers were powerful and warm. I would recommend it to others.
Nice little first-floor apartment tucked away in the heart of Keswick. Very spacious and nicely furnished. Comes either itâs own parking space too but, be warned - to access the parking space is very tight. All in all a lovely little apartment and one we shall definitely return to.
Fellseeker Cottage (not really a cottage, but the name is nice :) ) was everything we could have wished for: centrally based, nicely furbished, clean, quiet, and easily accessible with a parking lot attached. We found everything we needed in the kitchen - from kettle to pots, pans and cutlery. The small welcome package was a nice touch and certainly appreciated. We even found hiking maps and board games in the flat and such small things show that someone has put some thought into making the guests' stay comfortable. The effort to keep the flat updated and modern is visible. The only room that could be made a tiny bit more comfy was the eating area (maybe different lighting, a different tablecloth?!).
The communication prior to our stay was on time, included all the necessary information and made it easy to keep track of our payments.
Overall, we enjoyed our time at Feelseeker a lot and would definitely recommend it to others - or even come back ourselves at some point!
Nice apartment in great location with private car parking space. No need to move car as everything close by ie, shops, pubs, lake, Hope Park, Fitz Park and lots of lovely walks from the door. A great bonus is having two bathrooms with fab showers. Stayed with Keswick Cottages lots of times and would definitely recommend them. Their cottages are generally of a very good standard. However Fellseeker could do with some TLC; the carpets in lounge, twin bedroom and dining room - are light coloured and easily show stains. The carpet in the lounge has large stain marks and really needs professional cleaning or replacing as it does not give a good impression when you first walk into apartment. Also marks on walls in most rooms and skirting board hanging off wall in en-suite. Kitchen sink taps need turning very tight off to stop them dripping - some people may find this difficult. Sofa and cushions covered in dog hairs and marks on cushions. If these areas were addressed then it deserves 'excellent' scores.
Not the best start to the hoilday, but after the first day really enjoyed the apartment & the town.
The Fellseeker was a very comfortable and well equipped apartment in a fantastic location in Keswick. The only problem we encountered was when we arrived at 4:00pm to find a utility van parked in the car park space we needed to use. We then went to the apartment and found a boiler servicing engineer in the kitchen with the boiler open and his tools taking up all the space in the kitchen. He then advised us that every time the boiler operated it tripped the electrics. It was difficult for us to settle in the apartment since we had no access to the kitchen and couldnât park our car for the day. We then moved our car up the street so we didnât block access on the road. The Boiler Servicer couldnât solve the fault, so had to call out another electrician. At this time he moved his van so we could at least park the car by the apartment. We decided to go for a meal since we couldnât do much else. Our eldest daughter was going to join us, but due to the uncertainty decided not to travel that day. After the meal we went back to the apartment and they had managed to fix the fault, apparently it was a valve, it was 20:15 which was over 4 hours when we should have had full use of the apartment. Keswick cottages did give us an extra 2 hours for when we check out, however this wasnât the ideal start to our holiday.
Perfect location although bin lorries & early morning delivery vehicles left idling whilst unloading was very annoying at 7.00am every morning. Very clean & well furnished
No welcome pack other than a loo roll, smallest washing up liquid & sachet milk. Not one coffee pod for machine. Poor to say the least
Very comfortable apartment in the centre of Keswick with the added bonus of a designated parking space (we have a small car so parking was easy) -what more could you ask for! We had a lovely week out and about, with a warm, cosy place to retire to at the end of the day. The showers in both bathrooms were superb, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Overall our stay was great value for money.
I loved the spaciousness of the flat and the modern contemporary touches, carefully selected colour schemes in each room. Itâs like a home away from home. Private parking is a super bonus. Itâs a bit tight to drive in though, so reversing in from main road worked best for us.
Customer service was super friendly. Iâd stay again.
Excellent apartment for a holiday based in central Keswick
Excellent location, in the centre of Keswick. And although so central it was a quiet flat. We enjoyed the fact it was only a short walk to a variety of places to eat and drink and to the lakeside.
Very thoughtfully equipped, everything you need. Spacious and comfortable and recently refurbished. Comfortable beds and good quality bedding. Warm and welcoming when we returned from a wet walk.
We would very happily return.
Suggestion: provide the handbooks for the kitchen appliances - we had to resort to looking up online manuals.
We decided to stay in Keswick for our Lake District Holiday and we where so glad we found the Fellseeker with Keswick cottages.
The Customer Service was great! Whenever I called or mailed to get help with my booking they helped me out!
Our arrival went smooth, just the Parking space was a bit small, but we made it to park there.
The Cottage was clean, well equipped and very spacious.
We stayed there with 2 Adults and a 1 year old, but it wouldnât have been a problem to add 2 more adults.
Keswicks Town Centre is around the corner, and you leave the cottage and arrive at the lake within a short walk.
If you donât feel like cooking, bars ( with live music) restaurants and brunch cafe is infront of the house.
What we appreciated was the wash-dryer!
Saved us a lot of laundry
Thanks for this great cottage and another wonderful Lake District experience!!
This cottage was an excellent choice. It had all you needed for a break away. The showers were excellent, the beds were comfy and it was in an excellent position for the park, lake and shops, bars and restaurants. There was parking for one car which was a little bit trick to get in although we did not take our car out for five days as there is so much do to in Keswick and the surrounding area. Outside the cottage is a table and two chairs which got the morning sunshine, no view but appreciated as we had lunch here on occasions. I would definitely stay again.
We wanted somewhere central in Keswick and Fellseeker ticked all the boxes.
We were only staying in Keswick for a few days so wanted somewhere central. Fellseeker was perfect as we could walk out to the shops, restaurants and the various walks which we did during our stay. It was comfortable and cozy.
