We will have to look into that mattress. We are thrilled that you were able to enjoy the peacefulness of the river out in the back of the cabin. It's so nice to spend quiet evenings out there, or play in the water during the day!

Thank you for leaving your thoughts on our River Escape cabin. While I am quite surprised at your review, I am confident that other guests can read the rest of the reviews and see that what is described here is not the way we run our business. The hole is the ceiling that was patched just recently happened. It was patched until we have a gap in between stays to have a roofer come and fix it correctly. The only way to get it done now would be to cancel someones vacation which we find unacceptable. The nailed plank 18' up do not hinder anyones stay. Log cabins tend to creak, not much we can do about that. Yes a guest brought in a rock to hold a door OPEN, not closed. The door tends to close on its on blocking airflow so a large smooth rock was placed there to hold the door open. The door closes and locks just fine. As far as the supplies that we leave in the cabin, it is the same supplies we use at home. The fact of the matter is that we leave Dawn, Cascade and nice, draw string garbage bags for our guests to use. Yes our hand soaps are small but since we do not expect our guests to use soaps used by the prior guest, there is no need to leave huge bars just to throw them away. What a waste that would be. Our Guest Contract and FAQ page explains that we leave a starter supply of garbage bags as unfortunately, if we leave a box, some guests STEAL them so we only leave a starter supply. Please read the contract and FAQ's as we give detailed instructions and other information for that our guests can be prepared. This river is an active river. When it rains, the river is capable of rising up to 8' therefore it is impossible to keep debris, etc for landing on the property or messing up the concrete. We maintain it the best that is possible and haven't had others complain about it. I will not address the other issues as most of these issues are frivolous. This guest would not be welcome back.
