The place was very clean and perfectly decorated. Everything was as described in the description. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
The cabin was the perfect stay near the mountains! Cabin was clean and check in was easy! Appreciate the communication from the host as well. Will definitely stay again if we come back to the Smokies!
This is our 4th year staying at the quiet cabin. Everything worked well. Here is a couple of recommendations: there needs to be a sprayer for the water hose and overall the dishes need a better choice with drinking glasses and small plates. Large dinner plates are fine. The silver ware and cooking utensils are good. Looking forward to the next time!
The cabin was well stocked with all the amenities listed. We loved the hot tub bath and the beds were comfy. The check-in and check-out process was easy. The nearby town of Townsend was enjoyable and offered many things to do. We would stay at The Hideout again if we visit the GSM area. 100% recommended!!
There is nothing like being in the mountains and feeling like we're where we belong!Melody and Tahnee are the absolute best hosts we've ever encountered! We have been with them 3 times. We plan on coming back again to the Smokies and we'll stay here again! Come and see for yourself how wonderful their cabin is!
An excellent cabin very close to a lot of fun things to do. The cabin was cozy and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Very private setting and peaceful. Very comfortable furnishings. Lots of horse decor! The hot tub was used nightly to soak our aching bodies from all the strenuous hikes and horseback adventures. Melody our host was attentive to checking in on us. I hope to stay there again next year to see the fireflies! Couldnât ask for a better place to stay! Our home away from home!!!! I highly recommend this property!
If you're looking for a cabin that feels secluded yet is still conveniently close to restaurants, outdoor adventures, and the National Park, I highly recommend âThe Hideoutâ â truly a 10/10 experience. The cabin has that cozy, rustic charm while being very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Itâs stocked with all the essentials you might need. The setting is peaceful and private, making it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Couldnât have asked for a better getaway!
This place is amazing! So serene, peaceful and private. Super clean and had everything we needed to grill out. Hot tub, huge rain style shower head and furry throws and pillows made me feel like I was vacationing at a spa. Cannot wait to return! A picnic table by the fire pit would be the cherry on top of this amazing getaway!!! Thank you to the owners for an unforgettable weekend of family bonding!!we WILL be back!
We were referred by a friend who Stayed here and this is a perfect cabin 40 mins awa from gatlinberg The outdoor space was great for kids to play, star gazing Near the fire pit was amazing without the city lights
Every thing was outstanding. Kitchen completely equipped and very easy to use. Setting very quiet and comfortable. Melody gave much better directions than my car gps, very close to stores in Townsend for smacks and quick meals .Especially enjoyed the mountain foothills parkway and balanced with Cades Cove. Found suggestions from the Townsend visitor center really added to our previous info about the area.
This spot felt like a little slice of heaven. My wife and I loved it so much that we immediately recommended it to our friends and a family is going there next month. They are so excited after we shared our experience with them. The place was so clean. It had everything we needed. The host is fantastic in communication. The internal hot tub was an immediate favorite for us. The outdoor fireplace is a gorgeous setting. We plan to go there annually!
Property was clean and well appointed for us. We usually pull our camper but with such a short stay we decided to try renting. Had a great experience and great time at The Hideout.
This was our third time staying at the Hideout, and it has become our home away from home when spending time in the area. While we do eat out some, we try to cook several meals at the cabin. The kitchen is well-appointed, and we always use the charcoal grill. We also enjoy hanging out at the firepit when the weather cooperates. The beds are comfortable, and my husband especially liked the new rocker/swivel/recliners. This is a great place to stay for a couple or a small family. We also enjoy being out of town for the peace and quiet but close enough that it doesn't take long to get to the grocery store if needed. I'm sure we'll be back for a fourth time. All of our communications with the owners have been great! They are very, very nice.
Had an excellent stay in this wonderful cabin. Very clean. Wood-burning fireplace, located on a beautiful, picturesque property. Conveniently located. Highly recommended!
My mom and I have been running our cabin rentals for several years. It has been a joy getting to meet so many wonderful guests that become our friends through the years! I love nature and being outdoors. You will often find my sister and I running on the bicycle/walking path that goes all the way through Townsend. Another favorite pastime is for our family to go swimming and tubing in the Little River. My husband golfs at all of the area courses practically every weekend from March-November (yes, I know that's a lot!) My Mom and I do our own cleaning and like to meet our guests personally. The income from the cabin enabled me to be a stay at home mom when my girls were little, and now they will occasionally do the cleaning. In addition to taking care of our rental properties, I am a part-time teaching assistant at Townsend Elementary and part time children's ministry director at Church of the Cove here in Townsend. Come join us if you'd like! I pray that our guests are blessed by experiencing a little piece of heaven here in peaceful Townsend! I think you'll find that our Hideout cabin has a way of capturing your heart and will draw you to keep coming back year after year!
Townsend is my hometown and is the most beautiful place in the world! My parents encouraged me to buy the property and build the Hideout before I got married and started a family, and boy am I glad they did! I was able to bring my daughters with me to clean the cabin and still be a stay-at-home mom! I will forever be grateful for those years. God has blessed us with the Hideout and we pray it's a blessing to all of our guests.
