For further shopping and dining options, journey into Wakefield (13 miles) or Barnsley (4 miles). You’ll be perfectly placed to discover the northern Peak District National Park – a real paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. As you’d expect, the Peak District is teaming with breath taking walks to explore, such as the ridge walk along Mam Tor (25 miles) – where the panoramic views are exceptional. There are some fantastic family attractions nearby, including the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (7.5 miles), Wentworth Castle (4 miles), and the show caves at Blue John Cavern (26 miles).
