This stylish modern barn conversion offers a countryside escape just a short drive from Bristol, Bath & Bristol Airport. Featuring oak beams, polished concrete floors & a stylish birch ply kitchen, it blends rustic charm with contemporary design. The cosy living area, with a woodburner, invites relaxation, while the private courtyard garden is perfect for outdoor enjoyment. With a peaceful setting and easy access to the cities, this unique home is an ideal getaway for comfort & style in nature.

This barn conversion is located in the village of Dundry, just a 1 min walk from the local pub and church. It offers parking for two cars, including an electric car charger. The property is adjacent to a country lane, providing access to beautiful walks with stunning hilltop views of the Chew valley nearby.

With triple-glazed windows and high levels of insulation, it stays warm and energy-efficient, making it a welcoming retreat throughout the year. Underfloor heating ensures a comfortable, even temperature, while the additional log burner creates a relaxing focal point for colder evenings.

Enter the property via the oak clad entrance, with a large closet with ample room for your coats and walking boots.
Before entering the open-plan living/dining kitchen which is the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. With high vaulted ceilings exposed oak beams, and south facing windows, the space feels light and airy.

The kitchen is seamlessly integrated, with sleek concrete worktops, modern appliances, plenty of storage and a birch ply island great for your morning coffee. In addition there is a dining table.

Bedroom 1 includes a king sized bed, plenty of clothes storage and a en-suite with shower, basin and toilet.

Bedroom 2 also has a king sized and plenty of storage space.

The family bathroom includes bath, in bath shower, toilet and basin.

The property has private access to a courtyard garden with cottage garden style planting and a raised fishpond.

I'm a carpenter original from Devon, but now living in Dundry with my wife and two small girls. We enjoying cycling, walking and cooking.
We have just started hosting in December 2024, but absolutely love it so far. We originally lived in the Cow Barn for 4 years and converted it ourselves, so just love it when people come to stay and enjoy it as much as we did.

Dundry is the perfect mix for us, the village is surrounded by farmland and countryside, while still being a 10 minute drive from the centre of Bristol. There are also plenty of walk from our doorstep, all of them with panoramic views of either chew valley or Bristol.
We still feel close enough to the city to take advantage of Bristol's, with its rich history, vibrant arts scene, innovative spirit, beautiful landscapes, diverse culture, iconic landmarks, and a thriving music and food scene. While being part of a rural community in Dundry.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

As a carpenter, I was fortunate to convert this former cow barn into a home. Initially, we designed the space for ourselves, and I was able to do the majority of the work. This gave me the time to focus on creating beautiful, functional features, things you often can't afford or prioritize in other projects. Such as bespoke birch plywood kitchen and storage, exposed oak trusses and joinery throughout. It its also very cosy with its underfloor heating and log burner, while being insulated to a high standard with triple glazing.
