This property is managed by Pass the Keys Peak District. We look after a variety of wonderful homes across the area. If this place isnât available for your requested dates, please donât hesitate to reach out - weâll be happy to suggest alternative nearby properties that might be a perfect fit for your stay.
Guests have access to all part of the main house. Guests have access to all parts of the main house, built by Sir Joseph Salt, with a little help from the Duke of Devonshire.
There is parking at the property, a sunken front garden with a natural waterfall, amazing views, and patios to both sides of the property to sit and relax in the shade, or watch the stars at night.
You will have direct access to miles of National Park footpaths from within the gardens. We have a two acre nature reserve with 700 newly planted trees and rush meadows along the side of the drive - weâd respectfully ask that dogs are leashed on the footpath when using the footpath through that area.
We welcome well behaved pets. We do however ask that pets are not allowed on soft furnishings or upstairs for hygiene reasons.
An extra fee may be incurred if any items are soiled or damaged. Feel free to bring along your pet beds and blankets. The utility room is plenty big enough for several dog beds etc.
The property has two log burning stoves, so please feel free to bring along fuel to enjoy cosy evenings
Due to the remote rural location and 450 year age of our home, we respectfully request that you embrace the occasional visitor, be it a spider or our resident barn owl.
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi.
