Gwen and Robert's cottage is located in the heart of Rye and is ideal for exploring this magical town: everything is close and within walking distance, and you can easily pop back home for a short break and relax in the cozy garden. The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, with lots of little touches to enjoy. Everything you need is there, and the selection of tea, coffee, and spices is above average. We felt very well looked after and at home. Robert and Gwen were very friendly and answered all our questions quickly and reliably. Leaving the house was also very easy; Robert and Gwen took care of everything. We highly recommend the house and its hosts.
Beautiful property, really well appointed. Everything you could need. Perfectly positioned in Rye. Exceptionally clean and ready for arrival. We were delighted
The cottage was beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. We thought the treasure hunt brochure was a nice touch to help us explore Rye.
Rye is a beautiful town with a lot of history, cycling paths and hiking trails. Some beautiful restaurants and pubs all set in a stunning medieval architecture background. You can eventually go up to London for a day with the high speed train, and be back in quiet surroundings in the evening. The stunning sandy beach of camber sands is just 2 miles away and donât forget all the wineries, the villages near by and the super cool hasting old town and st Leonard on sea.
Our house has some nice local artworks, some beautiful furniture, attracting coloured painted walls and it feels bright and modern still somehow with the English cottage feel. Do enjoy the little courtyard for breakfast coffee or aperitivo on a warm day!
