There was building work going on at the back of the villa as well as the villa direct opposite and others within the urbanisation. We contacted the host who told us she was not aware, however, management of the property confirmed that they knew. The dust from the building site was so bad that we had to hosed down outside area before we could use it.It was confirmed by the host that cleaning would be done weekly, however, management only provided what they called “light cleaning” which was just floor cleaning of a sort, light bathroom cleaning; not dusting and not cleaning outside. They provided a very old small dustpan and brush ( not a broom ) and there were not dusters. There was a hose. We were told by host that the pool man will clean the pool twice a week; this was only done one time per week other than the last week after complaining to the host as there was so much dust in the pool and on the pool cover that was unusable for a few days; the host made arrangements for the pool man to come a day earlier.On arrival there were some flickering and some missing light bulbs; we found some spares but not for all needed. The toilet cistern was faulty and kept on throwing water after flushing. The slider was semi blocked. The bed in the main bedroom was a double - not kingside as advertised. The outside furniture could do with being replaced, it was old and uncomfortable and one of the chairs was broken. We did not use the bbq as it was rusty and dusty.
