We booked this place because of all the positive reviews, but our experience was terrible.The hot water went out the day after we arrived. I thought we had booked this through Vrbo, but it’s like a nesting doll where Vrbo outsourced to Bellvia, which outsourced to Check My Guest (CMG), which apparently contracts with a local property manager in Paris. Someone who lives in the building told us that the owner is notoriously difficult to deal with. It wasn’t easy getting a straight answer from the three companies either.We arrived on Sunday afternoon and abandoned the place Tuesday afternoon for a hotel because the hot water still wasn’t on after 30 hours, numerous email exchanges and expensive international phone calls.On top of that, the bottom floor bathroom had a moldy smell that was so rancid, the guest sleeping in the bottom floor bedroom could only stand to use that bathroom once and she had to wear a mask. After that, she shut the bathroom door and slept with a mask on. There were other issues too. The showers were plexiglass cases just large enough to fit a person and they leaked water on the floor. The toilets were up against the showers to the point where you had to sit on them sideways. And in the bedroom with two queen size beds, the main door was too large for the frame. We couldn’t close it all the way, and made a very loud scraping sound every time we tried to close it.We expect a full refund but still have received no word on when to expect it.
