The village itself has a good pub, fish and chip shop and local store and is close to many coastal villages that have long sandy beaches to explore. Brancaster (5 miles) is popular, especially with families and dog lovers, and there is an excellent golf course that sits beside the salt marshes and sea. At nearby Old Hunstanton (8 miles), children can play in the soft sand dunes, and further around the coast, discover Wells-next-the-Sea (11 miles) with its colourful beach huts and picturesque harbour, where many hours of fun can be had catching crabs from the quayside. This part of the county is packed with National Trust estates, stately homes and nature reserves, all within 8 miles; Sandringham Estate, Holkham Estate, Houghton Hall, RSPB Titchwell and Snettisham to name a few.

There is a fourth room with a desk for anyone wishing to study or catch up on emails.
