Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, central heating, and the convenience of easy self-check-in. The collection of keys is at the KeyNest Shop, Tooting Broadway-Londis, located at 4 Mitcham Rd, Tooting, London SW17 9NA. Hours of operation: Open 24 hours every day.
The Neighborhood:
Tooting is a famous area for restaurants, especially curry. There are several outstanding restaurants within a 2 minute walk of the flat - Kaosarn (Thai), Bobochacha (pan-Asian), Apollo Banana Leaf, Kothu, Jaffna House (all Sri Lankan), The Little Taperia (Spanish), Mimoâs Lounge (Lebanese) and my personal favourite, Radha Krishna Bhavan (Indian). And thatâs before you even get to the two bustling food markets, Tooting Market and Broadway Market, and the rest of the âland of the curry mileâ.
There are several great pubs as well; The Castle, The Manor, Trafalgar Arms, as well as several excellent gin/wine/cocktail bars in the two markets.
Tooting is also famous for its lido; the first of its kind opened to the public in 1906 and is the largest open-air freshwater pool in the UK.
Getting Around:
The property is conveniently located within easy reach of public transport options, ensuring a hassle-free commute. The nearest tube station, Tooting Broadway on the Northern Line, is just a 5-minute walk away. For those who prefer bus travel, the Longley Road (Stop HG) is only a 2-minute walk from the property and serves a wide range of bus routes including the 57, 131, 219, 493, G1, and N155, making it an ideal spot for easy access to various parts of the city.
