Brixham Sail Loft

A very peaceful stay over the new year period Very warm property even in very low minus temps during our stay in the area. Beautiful view and easy access. Only one toilet takes some getting used too but didn't spoil our stay. No small windows so had to sleep with doors open but this didn't bother us as the access is private Great value and very clear instructions for entry and exits. Thanks Neil & Sara

Lovely stay

Really lovely place, view of the harbour from both rooms, amazing bathroom and lots of helpful info provided before checking would def recommend this place. A lock on the gate in the inside would have made me feel a bit safer.

Fabulous accommodation in beautiful Brixham

The accommodation is really very good. A modern design, exceptionally clean, comfortable, spacious, big outdoor space, private, quiet and in a great spot in Brixham where you get the view without all the steps. Yes no parking right outside but you rarely get that in Brixham, you can park on the road for free at the very top of the steps. Overall we were extremely happy we chose the Sail Loft, the modern feel, attention to detail in the fixtures and fittings made it for us plus the modern spacious bathroom with the large shower and double sinks. Will book next time in Brixham for sure.

Faboulas Stay

The Sail Loft is beautiful and what a stunning view of harbour whilst sitting on the beautiful balcony. The apartment is stunning , so modern and very clean. Just a bit disappointed that we didn’t get extra towels especially after extending our stay and we requested more towels as 1 of each isn’t enough for over a weeks stay , also there definitely should be an inside lock on gate to feel safe and secure at night.

Lovely stay at the Sail Loft

We stayed at the Sail Loft when visiting Brixham for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! Upon entry, the loft was lovely and warm and cosy. It had a very homely vibe to the place. The bed was very comfortable and with the doors opening out to the terrace, it served as a great viewpoint in the morning. The location of the loft is fantastic as within only a few minutes walk, you’re in the main town with umpteen restaurants to choose from. I would definitely stay at the Sail Loft when returning to Brixham again

Week in Sail Loft

Great place for 2 . Steps a challenge especially if you are old and it has rained . Fantastic external space which is as big as the apartment and follows the sun although not sure the cushions match the furniture . Minus are minor , shortage of forks and no good having salt and pepper pots if empty and look as if they have never been used . Perhaps a small dustpan and brush would allow you to keep the inside tidy . Ideal for a week using the council permit parking and the breakwater parking going via the steps by the pub not opposite

Beautiful apartment with great views

Booked this for our 40th wedding anniversary for two nights Didn’t appreciate how many steps were involved getting to property, the steps very steep and not great for anyone with mobility issues which included us, so sadly the location along with no parking close by was a huge issue. The apartment however was lovely and comfortable apart from the sofa wasn’t the best. Bed amazing and comfortable, plenty of storage Bathroom amazing , but ran out of hot water for a second consecutive shower so be aware of this, no long leisurely showers here! Kitchen area well equipped On the whole wonderful, but sadly not for us to return due to the steps and location of parking. Felt the cost was a tad steep for two nights in October

Wow!

An absolutely fabulous holiday place. The views were incredible and the accomodation itself was beautiful. Despite only having a little kitchenette type area we had everything we needed to make meals. Loved the HUGE bathroom. Lying in bed looking across the harbour was stunning. The outside area was wonderful, it's just a shame we didn't have the weather to enjoy it more. May just have to revisit in the summer. :) Will definitely stay here again - :)

Fabulous views and location, as long as you are fit and can walk up the steep steps. Let down by the lack of privacy, even when laying in bed, you look directly at two windows of other properties and can be clearly seen, equally the balcony area is very over looked, but spectacular views of the harbour. The property was adequately equipped for our purposes, a lovely shower room.Some minor cleaning oversights, cups and airfryer needed a good clean, lips of cupboards, and floors needed a clean, we found rubbish under the sofa and the dresser (we did wonder if the apartment had been cleaned before we went in?) these things did not take us long to rectify and did not spoil our enjoyment of our stay.

Ideal

Spacious beautiful apartment, good standard, nice view. Would highly recommend for a couple looking to stay in Brixham. 34 steps up to apartment so need to relatively fit and agile. No aircon, that we could find...quite stuffy on a night as no windows to open. Couldn't leave doors open as no lock on outside door to enter up to patio area.

Ideal for a short break

The property was very clean and comfortable and seemed to be a fairly new conversion. The view was excellent (sun is essential as there is no outside cover). The specs highlighted the fact that there was limited self catering equipment and for a 3 night stay that was not a problem as there are a lot of good restaurants in the town. A not really mentioned downside was the fact that there are a lot of steps up to the property, so not ideal for someone with bad knees! Although we were warned that there was no parking this was a pain in the rain as we couldn't even park briefly to drop off the luggage so had a soggy 10 minute walk back to the flat. A minor quibble... there were no instructions for the TVs and the larger one had no terrestrial channels and the bedroom one lost the picture frequently.

A lovely modern place in Brixham with great views and in walking distance to everything you may need

We stayed in The Sail Loft for 5 nights over Christmas. Pro's - very modern, well designed space. Aesthetically the space is great and has everything you need for a short stay. Brilliant location, overlooking the harbour of Brixham. Nice and quiet, although it was winter so not sure what it would be like in the height of summer. Check in etc... was easy. We didn't have any reason to contact customer services over our stay but in the lead up to the holiday they replied to emails very quickly and also installed a Christmas tree which was a nice touch. There are lots of steps up to the property but that didn't bother us. Con's - the bed sheets and towels, although white and clean didn't smell particularly fresh. if I were the owners I would change the laundry providers or change the washing powder. The apartment was nice and clean however there was an area behind both wash basins that the cleaners have completely missed, and seeing the amount of dust it looks like this area has been missed for quite a while. Welcome pack, although nice is probably not needed. a proper pint of milk and a bottle of water would work better.

LUXURY NEARLY !

The sail loft is really nice., however when you advertise something as luxury accommodation it gives an expectation. I would expect toiletries as complimentary. Light bulb was missing on one lamp. Missing champagne flute. No live tv ( Netflix and other apps available) minor details. My main concern was it has its own private entrance with a gate which is accessible via open thoroughfare public steps to the side and I feel it would have felt a lot more secure if we could have locked or bolted the gate whilst we were in the property as anybody could access the decked area from it. Not so worrying during the day but of an evening when you retire to bed and the apartment is very warm the only option is to sleep with the door to the decked area open which is not ideal. Note only accessible by steps and car parking a good walk away. All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

nice but dissapointing

Finding the place was difficult,post code took us to the harbour,we called the represantative twice and left a message but he never called back and then called Vrbo who were very helpful and directed us to the property,which was 200 yds away up the hill,Arriving the outside was dirty with cobwebs and dry leaves,and incredibly no cushions on the garden furniture,leaving us to sit on bare metal. Inside the appartment was refurbished but basic and unwelcoming with no information pack so no password for wifi. Called Vrbo who were again very helpful and immediately sent us the password.Very little extras,just a few tea/coffee sachets,a couple of minature wines,but nothing in the bathroom,apart from a bottle of handwash and another empty bottle,presumably shampoo.No full size bath towels,2/3 of everything glasses,cutlery etc,what happens if we invite friends round,do we share a plate.A very nice property,completeley spoilt by lack of personnel touches,that cost very little,but make all the difference.

Modern Sea View Apartment

This is a lovely apartment that is well appointed. As previously mentioned by other reviewers the steps are quite a challenge and having stayed for 7 nights I had to get my brother who lives locally to come and help me lift my case up and down. I would say pack lightly !! The stairs are also uneven and when wet could be dangerous. Also last year I saw someone mentioned in a review that the access from the steps to the apartment deck there is a door but there is no bolt or key. I think this needs to be addressed I was not on vacation but visiting family as I live in the USA so I was all alone. To feel secure there really needs to be some sort of lock or bolt so you can happily open doors at night. There is a security camera but still. The TV is app based only ! Not too much of a problem if you can sign into your Netflix account etc and I did not watch much anyways .I did have a lot of trouble with the WIFI the instructions that were provided were incorrect and after messaging the local agent few times I got no where but managed to sort it out myself in the end. All that being said it is a very lovely place with wonderful views of the harbor and an easy walk into town . The bed was super comfy and the bathroom is very nice.
