Stunning, large, 5BR family home close to northern line tube and Tooting Common.
Heaver House - A big, beautiful interior-designed, 5 double bedroom family home on Tooting Common. We are a 10 minute walk from the Northern Line and British Rail , and only 15 mins on the tube into Oxford Circus. Newly opened Battersea Power Station is only 8 stops away on the tube! Sleeps 10 but could accommodate 2 more (children) on camp beds - 5 large double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with baths and showers as well as an extra WC on the ground floor. This is the perfect home for big groups as it has lots of communal living space - 2 living rooms, dining room and bar as well as a gorgeous garden with outdoor seating and gas bbq.
Friendly house cats live here permanently and can't be moved off the property - they are really friendly and love to curl up on sofas and beds - if you'd rather they don't lie on your beds then feel free to close doors. They'll be fed and looked after by Magda who'll pop in every day to check on them (with prior notice).
Perfect for families - large kitchen, 2 separate lounges plus dining room - all newly refurbished and fully equipped. Really lovely south facing garden that gets sunshine all day. We've recently added an outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ and fantastic outdoor entertaining area. Balham and clapham are great areas for bars, restaurants and cafes. We live right on tooting common which is a fantastic park with lots of lovely walks as well as tennis courts and playgrounds for children.
Please no groups or parties. No hens or stags.
Tooting is one of the greenest areas in central London with 3 huge parks within walking distance of each other, yet only a few stops on the tube from the centre of London with amazing links on the Northern Line and British Rail (direct to Victoria). We love living here as we get the best of both worlds!

We could not have chosen a more fabulous location for a family group of 10 to spend time in London! The property felt like an idyllic haven with a fantastic kitchen, beautiful decor throughout, relaxing backyard, and no fewer than 4 cats for our feline-loving fam. Our hostess was incredibly responsive whenever we had questions. It was absolutely the right choice and Iâd love to stay again sometime.
Lara did a fantastic job with communicating with me in the lead up to our trip and all of the details about our stay. We had such a wonderful time at the house as a group of 10 adults and our 3 year old - it was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Edith was so helpful and a delight to be around as well. Would absolutely stay in the house again and can't thank Lara enough for everything!
This was a very welcome stay after travelling for a month around Europe. The host was so accommodating! She made sure all was in working order. The location was safe and close to downtown London, (taxi were very accessible as well as the metro). The home was extremely clean, with plenty of towels, spices to make dinner, etc. The host does own a couple of cats, but these stayed away while we were there. Highly recommend!
Heaver House was the perfect location for our family Christmas. We absolutely loved the space and so appreciated the house being wonderfully decorated for the festive period. The house really speaks for itself with the amount of space (we were 9) and amazing decor. We appreciated the owners level of trust with personal items which made our stay feel like visiting a friendâs home and not just a rental. The housekeeper Edith was an absolute star, incredibly helpful and a real added bonus to our break. Lara is very responsive to any enquiries or needs. Would highly recommend.
Hi, I'm Lara - I'm originally from South Africa but moved to London in my twenties and decided to stay because I loved it so much! I have 3 children, 20, 18 and 16, who all love London as much as I do.
I really enjoy sharing my home and experiences in a city that I've called home for over 28 years.
SW London is the prettiest, greenest part of London, with 3 huge parks on our doorstep and a stone's throw from central London. You can be in Oxford street within 20 minutes or Wimbledon within 15 minutes. The newly opened Battersea Power Station is only 8 stops away on the northern line.
There are lots of places to eat in Balham and Clapham, all within walking distance of Heaver House. It's a fabulous, fun, family area with lots of space and lots to do.
Heaver House is a big, double fronted property with so much room for all guests. We have a beautiful, leafy, green garden which comes into it's own in the summer! Our home is located between Balham and Tooting Bec tube stations as well as British Rail from Balham. All 3 offer amazing and quick access to every part of London! You can easily walk to both stations within 10 minutes.
We have 4 fantastic house cats who live her permanently - Jasper, Louis, Margot and Raven - they are the loveliest cats and will curl up on your lap if you want them to. We have someone come in daily to feed them and check up on them (timings with prior arrangement)
