LANTANA 8, Lovely 1 bedroom ground floor apartment (3 storey). The bedroom has a queen sized bed and fitted wardrobes with direct access to the large terrace to catch the morning sun. The shower room has a large mirrored storage cabinet. Air-con in bedroom and ceiling fans in both bedroom and sitting room, which makes a comfortable area to enjoy satellite TV, wifi also available; American style kitchen fully equipped with washing machine, fridge-freezer and microwave. The terrace is gated and can be locked, suited with a dining table and 4 chairs, sofa, armchairs and a coffee table.

Moderately equipped, well located apartment. great maintenance of the pool and grounds area. We would happily return to Lantana in future Barbados trips.

Great Apt in Weston, suited our party of two. Well equipped and very clean. Minutes walk from the beach. 4km walk from Holetown. Great beaches and facilities. Host was very responsive to any questions we had. Would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at Lantana. Great apartment, Ideal for a single person easy access to hole town and the st James beaches . Friendly staff and helpful. I would recommend Lantana to friends.

Great Value For Money

Cons - slightly tired, road noise , (mainly during the day till early evening) no headboard on bed Pros - has everything needed for a comfortable stay, addition of fridge/freezer & dishwasher not shown on photos, electric kettle etc Well maintained safe resort with friendly staff, gorgeous pools/furniture , short walk to bus stop & nearest beach so no car needed A nice surprise of midweek clean including sheets/towels (also beach towels , nice touch) Excellent communication from host & Fatema

Our winter sun holiday with warm weather, & warm sea

Lantana 8 suited us perfectly as an older couple and the whole complex is very pleasant. It is NOT, as stated in the information, 2 minutes walk from Alleynes beach but 20 minutes as the beach is 1km away. What is not mentioned is that Reeds beach is 10 minutes walk away and if you are up to it Gibbs beach is 35 minutes away (1.5km). The one big downside of the property is the nearby road with the especially noisy yellow buses spoiling the tranquillity of sitting out at Lantana and making walking to the beaches far from pleasant.

Apt 8 Lantana Resorts

Very nice modern apartment. The booking was smooth and quick. The owner (Joan) confirmed the booking quickly and provided all the relevant check in details just as fast. The check in process went smoothly and the local host (Fatema) was very friendly and responded to any queries I had really quickly. Even the cleaner was very warm and friendly and also provided valuable advice with regards to the Bank Holidays. The apt was very clean and had all the amenities needed on holiday and everything worked. There was a nice spacious patio and then a nice pool right outside the apt which was good. The resort is literally seconds away from local transport and a 5mins drive to a high end shopping mall, bars and supermarket. I'd recommend this apt to friends and would definitely stay there again when visiting Barbados again.

Lovely, just perfect for us!

My husband and I were looking for somewhere with a great location, close to the beach and with easy access to public transport into Holetown as we didn’t want to rent a car. We had heard mixed reviews about #8 but honestly I’m not sure why- our experience was perfect! It was clean, cozy and on lazy days having the pool right there was a major plus. The big patio was great for dinner in the evenings. We love Barbados and we’ve found our perfect spot, can’t wait to go back!

Apartment in urgent need of an update. The decor is dull...gaps in between skirting board and floor ..poor state of repair. Apartment did not smell pleasant even when we bought air fresheners. Absolutely adore Barbados but will not rent this apartment if we we revisit

This location was just fantastic! Easy bus on/off travel, walk to the water, loved being in a neighborhood, loved seeing the children go to school and play outside...that was a real bonus! Very clean, and comfortable units. I would highly recommend this to anyone who especially delights in seeing more of the 'real' Barbados! We loved your island!

Clean,Modern, Tidy well serviced and cared for by the excellent and attentertive Agnes.

Well situated for access to the beaches -short bus ride into Holetown or Speightown. Property is very safe and secure ie gated access. Decent size rooms and air con. Pleasant pool area. Slight road noise but after a few days hardly noticeable .

Perfect position for exploring the West side

The property was perfect for our needs. Good air conditioning in the bedroom, nice outside patio space, small inside, but very clean with excellent internet and direct access onto a lovely pool area which was never crowded or busy. Agnes was there to explain everything and was always available if we had any questions at all - lovely! Garden areas were well maintained and pleasant. Excellent spot from which to enjoy both Holetown and Speightstown. We booked on here, via Joan, and communication was excellent. Would really recommend.

Disappointed

It was an adequate base which we basically used only to shower and sleep in the end. The apartment was very small with no-where to put your empty suitcases once you'd unpacked and just one small cupboard to hang shirts and tops only. Shoes had to be left out on the floor but on the plus side there was adequate drawer space. The property is very tired inside and needs to be decorated and furnished in colours other than brown, it had a musty smell to it the whole time we were there so we couldn't wait to open the doors in the morning and let the fresh air in. We got the impression the property had been empty for a while as it wasn't freshly clean when we arrived, however the clean the following week when we checked out (and came back to pick up luggage) is what we would have expected. It's a shame really as the main property isn't that old and has a fairly modern kitchen but the rest of the décor doesn't quite fit and was very disappointing. The bathroom towels are all thin and worn too so generally it just needs a bit of an update. The terrace area by the pool however was lovely with modern furniture and was nice to sit outside and have the odd breakfast but it was very close to the main road. Overall and based on previous stays on the island, we were extremely disappointed. However it was a great location for the beaches and restaurants we wanted to go to, so because we are familiar with Barbados we just used it as a base in the end and went out and about and made the most of the island.

Great accommodations, reasonably priced

We were in Lantana 8 in January 2016 for two weeks. The unit is very well positioned on the property - steps to the pool, western exposure. The condo itself is well equipped and comfortable, and we didn't notice any noise between units. This unit was in the building closest to the beach, which was only a short walk away. The grounds are well groomed with lovely gardens. The building is secure and we always felt safe. The property is located a few minutes north of Holetown, easily accessible on the bus (the bus stop is just steps from the condo). The buses are a very inexpensive way to explore the island, but can be a bit hair-raising with some interesting driving (yellow buses, especially). There are lots of buses though, so if you want a seat and slower ride, wait for a blue bus (government operated). There are a number of super restaurants in Holetown, and the grocery store (Massy Superstore) was perfect for groceries and dry goods. The condo is close to the road, which can be loud throughout the day but it gets very quiet at night. Likewise, the condo is adjacent to a primary school so there can be a lot of noise during recess and lunch, and at the end of the school day. None of this bothered us - we were out and about most days, and for those days we relaxed around the pool, we just considered it the sound of daily life. One of the units in the building was under renovation - and although we realize this was not the fault of the condo owner, the hammering and knocking was annoying and chased us from the condo for a couple of days. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and would recommend this condo for anyone wishing to visit Barbados and go at their own pace. As mentioned, be prepared for a bit of noise.
