The location of this villa is perfect. 5mins to Gibbs Bay which is a quiet beach or 5mins to Mullens, which has a couple of bars. Really quiet - air con perfect for the night time. Very clean - every thing you need for a peaceful stay. We hired a car for the last few days, no issues with parking the hire car on the property. We will return. Host very helpful and great communication.
After repeated visits to Warawee, it does not disappoint. We love this cottage and its location, perfect for down time and access to everything Barbados has to offer. Thank you for having us to stay again.
We have had a fantastic holiday, Samâs house and Gardens are spectacular. The studio is perfect for two people, Wendy the house keeper looks after you very well. We wouldnât hesitate to recommend this beautiful home and look forward to returning in the future. The location is great, with lots of restaurants and bars . Thank you Sam & Wendy
This cottage is lovely and homely set in beautiful gardens! Great location for travelling the west coast and in between two good beaches within walking distance.
Our 3rd stay at Warrawee cottage which I think sums up our feelings. We have already booked for next year. Great location close to Gibbs and mullins beach. Good WiFi. Everything you need. A home from home. Wendy did a great job looking after us and keeping everything clean and ship shape. See you next year. Happy happy
Samâs place is a British 1 bed cottage in the grounds of her property. Ideal for a couple. It is tranquil and walking distance to the beaches.
Cottage is fully equipped for all you need if you want tea eat in and also has portable sunbed chairs To take to the beach. Highly recommend for a quote stay in Brasil Barbardos

Was told would be no one in the big house so pool would be just us so I booked .. when arrived someone was in the other house would of preferred to be told before we arrived
What a wonderful garden villa, in the most amazing gardens with the perfect hosts including Wendy, a wonderful housekeeper. It has all you need for a truly relaxing break, Gibbs beach is awesome and Mullins beach bar is the perfect end to a long lazy day on the beach with the nicest staff. We couldn't recommend it enough and the local knowledge imparted by the owners on where and when makes it so much more special and personal.
The peacefulness and tranquility of the gardens and cottage bring us back. We spent most of our time outside under the covered patio enjoying all that Warawee offers.
Thank you to Wendy and Sam for looking after us. We had some lovely chats with Sam the owner who knows so much about Barbados past and present. As always Wendy took care of the cottage and us so well.
3rd time at the cottage, it just gets better, Brilliant place for 2 adults in a perfect location. Totally private and quiet. Good location for anywhere on the west coast by bus or explore the island by car easily from here. Gibbes beach still undergoing repairs after hurricane Beryl but should be back to normal soon, in our opinion this is one of the best beaches on the island and only 5 minutes walk, Mullins beach also 5 minutes walk. A really beautiful garden to relax in if you don't want to go anywhere. The main electric gates with code entrance provide security and piece of mind. Wonderful Wendy is on hand most mornings to look after your every need.
It feels a privilege to sit in this stunning tropical garden and watch the hummingbird busying itself on the flowers - our second visit to Warawee was just as lovely as the first. The cottage is ideal for a relaxed visit and is well furnished and very comfortable, has easy access to the beach and is a short distance from several restaurants. The marine reserve at Folkestone is fantastic for snorkling and the coral looked in very good condition this year.
Wendy, once again, made us welcome and looked after us extremely well. Thank you.
This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The setting is superior to any five star hotel. The house itself is very well equipped and comfortable with a lovely shady seating area overlooking the lush garden. Humming birds in abundance! Itâs just a short walk to two beautiful beaches and a lovely beach bar/restaurant. Regular buses pass the end of the drive. Wendy the housekeeper looked after us very well and can answer any queries you may have. Sam, the owner, is the loveliest lady. She is most thoughtful and kind and it was a joy to meet her. We have already recommended the property to family and when we return we wouldnât dream of staying anywhere else. Thank you Sam for sharing your beautiful property.
Our 5th trip to this lovely cottage and still special. A great place to stay with everything you need, including humming birds buzzing about. Opposite best beaches in Barbados, in my opinion, and very easy access to multiple restaurants, bars and locations.
Pleasant, affordble, peaceful and attractive property
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Warawee. The property is in the northwest, about half an hour north of the capital Bridgetown, with good access to the west coast beaches, but far enough from the bustle of Holetown and points farther south to be quiet and peaceful. The house itself was comfortable and suited our needs. The air-conditioning and fans worked well to keep things cool, the bed was comfortable, and the covered patio in the garden was a nice place to relax in the evening before or after dinner. The amenities (kitchen, bathroom, beach stuff) were modest but reasonable, and although the hot water in the shower was inconsistent, the consistently warm temperatures of Barbados made this a nonissue for us. Aside from the above, everything was terrific and easy, and the cottage and its location continued to grow on us over the course of our stay. There are some terrific restaurants within walking distance of Warawee (Sea Shed and Grandene's), and don't miss La Cabane farther down the coast. Overall this is a very pleasant place to stay and an excellent value.
We had the best time at Warawee! We loved the house, the books, the garden, the surroundings, the nearby beaches and restaurants and most of all of course Wendy. If you are looking for a perfect home away from home look no further. Just just found it!
The cottage is set in lovely, lush, thoughtfully planned gardens. We enjoyed sitting under the gazebo watching all the birds especially the hummingbirds. The cottage is very comfortable, well laid out, and spacious. We were well looked after by Wendy and had some lovely chats with her. Looking forward to our next visit.
We have just completed our 4th visit to Warawee and I am convinced it is the best location in Barbados. A quiet beautiful garden to relax with privacy but completely accessible to beaches, restaurants, bars and all Barbados has to offer. The cottage is perfect for 2 and you are always well looked after by Wendy. Thank you.
We had been visiting Barbados since 1980 and built Warawee in 1993. The small villa was completed in 2000 with parents in mind who spent winters here. Both houses have a traditional feel and look, but European standards. Being keen gardeners we developed this at the same time and it has become a lovely oasis. We retired from business and in our 60's we divided our time between Barbados and a home West Sussex. Barbados to us is England in the sun. Since my husband passed away I have maintained Warawee and regard this very much home. My time continues to be divided between Barbados, UK and world travel. Warawee is to relax and recover.
