Les points forts : Propreté, arrivée, communication, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
Nice Neighborhood
This property, in the 7th arrondissement, is directly across from the French Prime Minister's official residence. There is a lot of police (gendarmes) and military protection on the street which lends itself as a safe place to stay.
The apartment was generally clean (floors, sheets, towels), but the cutlery, plates & bowls, pots & pans all had to be washed before they could be used. There were pockets of dust under shelves & the sofa. While vacuuming, food was found under the washing machine (cherry tomatoes, broken cookies).
The bathroom & kitchen were clean, but the kitchen sink is tiny & hard to reach; at a strange angle. It is a small oval shape & probably meant as a bathroom sink.
The pictures of the building are of the grand mansion with the beautiful (and historically registered) courtyard, however the apartment is in an old back building and was probably used for maids' quarters (chambre de bonne). The stairway was circular & old, windows with missing panes of glass, paint on walls was very old, chipped and peeling--dark green with exposed plaster underneath, but the apartment is just as the pictures show.
Apartment size is good for one or two people. The cotton rug on the floor (see advertised pictures) was being used as a sofa cover; there were stains. So no rug, just wooden floors.
Overall the apartment had everything needed, but the "washer/dryer" doesn't dry well. Be prepared to hang clothes to dry. There were plenty of hangers & shelves.
