We stayed at this wonderful home for 2-weeks and enjoyed everything the house and town had to offer. Patrick greeted us when we arrived, gave us information on house operations and provided insight on local restaurants, farmer's market, shops and other typical travel needs. We loved the house and highly recommend this rental to anyone traveling in the area.
Check in and Countach was excellent. Unfortunately the appartment was directly at a small street. This street was a thoroughfare street used by Trucks and construction vehicules passing about 2 meters in Front of the balcony.
Nice place, but shower is hand-held, big bed is very (too) soft, TV didn't work, and hot water was uneven. Kitchen was serviceable but few basic supplies (eg, no vinegar).
Traditional French house in an attractive small town with uninterrupted views of river from first floor balcony and upper garden area. House is within 5 minutes walk of town centre with its markets on Tuesday (highly recommended) and Saturday . Location very good for local sightseeing to villages, caves and other tourist attractions as well as easy access to large supermarkets.
House is well furnished and spacious. However, house is on 3 levels with stairs and access to garden is by a spiral staircase, so not suitable for guests with mobility issues or young children. At time of visit owner was in process of setting up an internet connection and purchasing a replacement TV/DVD player with larger screen. Facilities include washing machine and microwave/grill cooker as well as BBQ in garden.
Great little house. Very comfortable. Lovely garden although our weather meant we couldnât use it as much as we would have liked. Perfect for visiting local attractions.
Tony is a retired engineer whose main residence is in London. He spends the months outside the holiday season at his house here in Le Bugue. He bought the property in 2018 and has enjoyed renovating the house and the garden. In fact he has transformed the garden, adding the BBQ terrace and spiral stair access. He loves going on bike rides in the beautiful countryside all around Le Bugue.
What is unique about this house is its proximity to town and countryside. A footpath accessed less than 100 metres up the road from the house is a gateway to several different routes for rambling. Routes starting from this path up the hillside can bring the hiker back into Le Bugue from any one of three directions!
This property is ideal for a couple who enjoy country walks as well as having the amenities of the town such as cafes, restaurants and farmers' market twice a week. And, of course, Le Bugue is an ideal base for exploring the historic and beautiful surrounding area.
