We spent one week in the appartment in Nov 2025, two adults and two chidren of 9 an 12 years. We saw positive and negaitve reviews and think that much depends on how many people are you and whether you plan to cook in the apartment. The apartment is a great starting point for exploring of the city, also the owner replied promptly. It has a nice bedroom with the made-up bed on the upper floor. However, if you are more than two people some of you will be less lucky to sleep on less comfortable sofa on the ground floor. Upon arrival the sofa was unprepared and we spent quite some time to find at least some bedding. The sofa also smelt of dogs. The coffee machine works fine. However, if you consider to cook at home, there is no microwave in the kitchen (dispite being visible on the photo). There are two small cooking pans which are too small to cook or warm the food for four people.
Silvia was amazing and takes true pride in the building. This was perfect for our few nights in Rome. The WiFi is a little slow but thatâs not why you come to Europe anyway. The area was quiet and in the cutest little ally with no cars. You are a quick walk to the colosseum and about 15 minutes walk to everything else.
Sylvia greeted us in person (she messaged us to learn our time of arrival) and she was very accessible throughout our stay. The location was close to everything we wanted to do (historical sites, restaurants, train station) and the room was very spacious for two people. An iron was even provided, which is rare to find in Italy. We loved the loft and having a kitchen and grocery stories nearby as well. My only complaint was the directions sent were hard to follow when we were first getting there and our international phone plan wasnât working to navigate us (this wasnât their fault) so we had to buy a map of Rome to find the location. We were traveling without kids so this was not an issue for us, but for those traveling with kids, one entrance to the road is up a large staircase that would be tough with a stroller and we did see people smoking marijuana on those steps on a few occasions. There is another way to get up the street without steps. I would definitely stay there again!
Adorable loft apartment which was surprisingly quiet at night for how close it was to some large landmarks (Sta. Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum). Lots of cute bars and restaurants in the neighborhood, and Sylvia was great with coordinating meeting us when we arrived to get us checked in and settled.
We had a wonderful stay! The location is central and walking distance to all the main attractions in Rome. Silvia was a wonderful host. We would definitely consider staying here again!
We had such a wonderful time staying at the Blue Loft. Beautiful, modern accommodations in an ancient building and neighborhood. We lived like locals for a couple of days and it made our experience in Rome very special. Our hostess, Silvia, was very warm and helpful. She gave us a number of suggestions for dining and travelling around town. She offered to let us check out late on our departure date. She shared the unique history of the building which has been in her family for generations. Highly recommend!!
Easy check in and the host followed up afterwards to make sure everything was okay once we got in. Lovely apartment with character, easy to get around. Well worth the price.
Perfect location for seeing Rome! Place was clean and A/C was great as it was 90F every day. So any restaurants ,gelato and bakeries nearby. The only time we did not walk was to the Vatican, which was easy by subway. Silvia was very helpful and nice!
