Perfect luxury 2 bedroom holiday home in the Cotswolds - Slade Stables

Slade Stables is a beautifully restored stable conversion, thoughtfully rebuilt to create a light and spacious Cotswold retreat. Sleeping four guests (no children aged seven or under permitted) in two stylish bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, this single-level property combines charm and practicality throughout. The open plan living area features a comfortable sitting space and a well-equipped kitchen with dining table, perfect for relaxing with family or friends after a day exploring. Outside the front door, there’s a lovely spot for a BBQ, ideal for enjoying the peaceful rural surroundings. From the doorstep, enjoy scenic walks through stunning countryside, with chances to spot local wildlife, birds, and even a herd of deer among the wild orchids in nearby woodland. For a delicious breakfast or lunch, the Cotswold Food Store and Cafe are just a short stroll away.

This two-bedroom holiday cottage in the North Cotswolds is perfectly suited for those looking to explore the beautiful countryside and nearby towns and villages. With scenic walks from the doorstep and all your essentials within two miles, it’s an ideal base for family and friends to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Fab few days!

Had a lovely stay at Slade Stables, accommodation was immaculate, had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy! What a wonderful location with stunning views, just a shame about the typical British weather! Sandra,the host, was very helpful and it was lovely to know she was on hand should we need anything. Would love to stay again.

A fabulous stay just outside Moreton-in-Marsh

What a beautiful cottage this is. Lovely throughout, an excellent kitchen (which was well equipped, too), great shower, very comfortable beds… what’s not to like? And the welcome pack was most welcome! I have no hesitation at all in recommending Slade Stables as your base for a Cotswolds sojourn

Delightful stay

A wonderful four day stay at Slade stables. It is a very well equipped property, spotlessly clean and lovingly maintained.A very generous welcome pack with fresh flowers on arrival A tranquil location overlooking wonderful Cotswold countryside. We loved the location of Slade Stables, as it wasn't too far from a main road, and yet was so peaceful.It was well furnished and maintained, with everything you need.It was nice being met on arrival and Jane was very helpful throughout our stay.The only slight disappointment, was the description of walks directly from the property. It's true that you can walk from there, but it wasn't quite as I had imagined it. But this didn't spoil our holiday.Lots to see and do in the local area.Thank you Jane.

A lovely weekend away in this beautiful barn conversion

My mother and I had a lovely weekend away in this superb barn conversion. The cottage was beautifully decorated and equipped, quiet and relaxing. Our host met us with the key and was so welcoming and helpful. We couldn’t have wished for a more comfortable place to stay. We will definitely hope to return.

Best place we’ve ever stayed

We are regular visitors to different counties & different rentals. This was the best ever & everything had been thought about. The stables were clean, comfortable & so well equipped. All the basics for self catering were there & the welcome basket really appreciated. The hosts were on hand if needed with advice on the area. Altogether first class .

Perfect

3rd stay here. We just love the peace and quiet and always feel relaxed and well rested. Immaculately clean and tastefully styled with a home from home feel with everything you need. Great location not that far from Stow, Broadway, Bourton on the Water and Moreton-In-Marsh. The host, Jane is so lovely and always make sure we are ok. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful location and comfortable

We enjoyed staying here and have booked again. The owner was next door and went out of her way to help us. Excellent bed linen, towels and facilities. Comfortable beds, sofs and chairs. Very usable kitchen, easy to use shower controls (a huge bonus!) and lots of hot water. Very comfortable cottage for 3 adults but 4 might be a bit tight. Only two liitle minus points: would appreciate reading lights by the bed and would like an oven proof caserole dish. Some might find the freezer space too small.

Amazing accomodation, very modern

We loved the 2 bedroom accomodation, it was great having 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you would need. The lounge was comfortable, along with comfy beds, and good pillows. Great outdoor area with a bbq for the warmer days. It was so peaceful and quiet. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Loved waking up to the fields and horses. Good location for touring the Cotswold, everything was within a 20 minute drive and the nearest village just up the road. Would highly recommend.

We’ll book this again, if available, next time we stay in the area..

We stayed ten days whilst attending the Ring cycle at Longborough Festival Opera three miles down the road. Jane was very friendly and so where her dogs, The cottage was well equipped and comfortable with a compact and modern kitchen area that had everything we needed and it all worked unlike the two previous places we’d rented in the neighbourhood., We did have to ask for an iron but it was provided upon request. Pubs and shops are a drive away and Stow was a nightmare of traffic jams, the Co-op in Moreton in Marsh was better prospect for groceries.

Rural Retreat

We loved our stay at the cottage, so clean, comfortable and well-appointed and with a generous and thoughtful welcome pack of local produce. Ideally placed too for all the attractions that the Cotswolds have to offer, the ones we chose included Broadway Tower, Batsford Arboretum, Cleeve Hill (fantastic views all the way to the Malvern Hills), Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, Bourton House Gardens and several villages and towns within easy reach. Jane was a friendly and helpful host and it was nice to have friendly horses and dogs to say hello to. It was an ideal holiday let, in beautiful countryside and well away from traffic and civilization. It was quite a drag to have to leave and re-join the road works and tailbacks on the Fosse Way.

Amazing place from which to explore the Cotswolds

Slade Stables is one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed in of dozens. The location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds and also ideal for rest and relaxation, with gorgeous and tranquil surroundings (including amazing sunset views). You will be very close to some of the most idyllic villages in the Cotswolds, including Blockley, Broadway, the Slaughters and Chipping Camden, and not far at all from many others. Our hosts were incredible, so generous with their time showing us the best walks, answering questions about local customs, and offering ideas for where to go and what to do. They clearly want their guests to have the best experience possible. They are attentive, but they also leave you to yourself -- the perfect balance. The rental itself is immaculate. Not only is it exceptionally clean, it is expertly renovated with high-quality finishes everywhere and the benefit of thoughtful design. Sometimes when we stay in rentals that have been renovated, there are "get-me-over" types of design decisions made (understandably) because the space is for temporary use. This is not the case with Slade Stables -- it's renovated with the attention to detail that people want for their homes. Overall, we feel so fortunate to have been able to stay in Slade Stables.

Star Quality

Slade Stables was perfect for my disabled husband and me being on the same level and roomy. The friendly owner had thought of everything including a very welcome basket of goodies and fresh flowers. It was perfected situated for all the sights of the Cotswolds and in peaceful fields with the most wonderful sunsets viewed from the lounge window. We immediately booked it again which speaks for itself!

Great place to stay

We were very happy with our stay at Slade Stables. The owner is right next door and was there to show us around, answer questions about the area and recommend places to shop and eat. She had stocked the refrigerator with milk, fresh eggs and other items to get us through the first day. The cottage was very nice, comfortable and quiet.

Jane has the best Rob in the Cotswold. Very clean, quiet, beautiful, has everything you need, and very pleasant. Jane is very helpful and very nice (plus the dogs too).
