A spectacular barn conversion - Highgate

Highgate is a beautiful refurbished barn that has been transformed into a blissful Cotswold holiday home which sleeps four guests (no children aged seven or under permitted), in two delightful bedrooms, with two bathrooms. This fabulous boutique retreat boasts an elegantly styled open plan living space, original oak beams, log burner, courtyard garden and unique layout, with separate staircases to the two bedrooms. If that wasn't enough, it is only a stone's throw from the attractive town centre of Moreton-in-Marsh.

Highgate can be booked either on its own, or with The Puzzle House which sleeps four guests in the adjacent property.

This two bedroom holiday cottage in Moreton-in-Marsh is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Superb accommodation, very cosy & comfortable and exceptionally clean.

The accommodation is well thought out and everything you can think of has been provided. The property is spotless, cosy and warm and so easy to relax in. We appreciated having a secure space to park at the property, which is perfectly situated just off the High Street. Moreton in the Marsh is a great place to explore the Cotswolds and I can’t recommend Highgate enough as the place to enjoy your stay.

Fabulous Stay at Highgate

This is one of the best designed, most comfortable, immaculately presented rental properties we've had the pleasure to rent in the UK. Everything you needed was at you fingertips, very comfortable and offered the best of both worlds.....beams and character but thoroughly modern. It is perfect for 2 couples....we will hope to come back.

Highgate- Amazing stay in a wonderful location

We stayed in the amazingly comfortable and well appointed accommodation Helen was wonderful and very accommodating. Four adults were extremely comfortable and it was a great relaxing oasis to return to after a day of exploring the Cotswolds We would highly recommend Highgate to anyone who wanted well located and comfortable accommodation when exploring the Cotswolds

We had an amazing time here. The space was absolutely beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Our host was made sure we had what we needed to enjoy our stay and communication was excellent. The lay out worked very well for two couple travelling together. Shops and restaurants were nearby.

Very nice

We booked Highgate for my partners 50th in late August, We were delighted when we arrived from the little basket of food to the very modern and clean areas. We found it very well positioned very all the places we wanted to visit. Overall very pleased and will be returning.

Stunning and quiet cottage tucked nicely behind the high street

The cottage is really well finished, very clean and tidy. Booking and access was a doddle. Brilliantly located and very quiet. Each room has a well appointed private bathroom/shower room. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely weekend with friends

Fabulous 2-night stay at Highgate. Highgate is spacious, characterful, super clean and super well-equipped. We loved it. Moreton-in-Marsh is a great base for walks and has plenty of great coffee shops, places to eat and pubs.

Peaceful retreat and wonderful hiking

The property is one of the nicest I have stayed at. Well stocked with everything I could need. Location was great, a short walk from the train station and very close to town but still very quiet.Loved it and hope to come back with friends

excellent property in Moreton in Marsh

This cottage was the highlight of our 3 ½ week trip around the UK. So nice to spread out, do some laundry, and open some windows! Excellent central location, close to train station/tour pickups, and it felt very secure and quiet tucked away in the back of the main street.

Perfect Cottage for a perfect stay

I would recommend this property to anyone staying the the Cotswolds. Moreton in Marsh is a convenient location to explore the Cotswolds. The property is RIGHT on the high street and 5 min away from groceries and restaurants. It's also a really quiet town. The cottage was clean, modern and inviting. The fixtures and appliances still look new. However the microwave was spoilt and I emailed Helen to request a new one. I did not expect her to respond so quickly, she knocked on our door within 1/2hr with a brand new microwave. Fantastic host!! Just note that both bedrooms are upstairs so you need to carry your luggage up flights of steps. So not recommended for folks that have mobility issues. Also make sure your car is not bigger than a intermediate SUV. Driveways in Cotswolds are usually small. Love this place. Would come back!

Our accommodation in Moreton was delightful. A wonderful mix of a historic structure with modern amenities. It was great to be in a wonderful village with the train and bus services near by.

Stunning Property

We had a four night stay in this stunning property and could not fault it. Beautifully decorated, extremely well equipped and the attention to detail is second to none. It is also extremely conveniently located for shops, restaurants and buses/trains. We will return.

Perfect property!

We had a fantastic stay at Highgate! The property is beautiful - everything has been finished to a high standard and it’s definitely one of the best properties I’ve stayed in. The beds were comfy, the house spotless and the off-street parking was ideal. It’s centrally located yet you don’t hear any noise from the town as it’s set back a little. We enjoyed a meal at Bellini in Moreton and had a lovely pub lunch at The Great Western Arms in Blockley which we walked to from the cottage via Batsford - so many lambs! Thanks for a wonderful stay, we’d love to come back soon!

Beautiful, clean property in the Cotswolds

This was an easy 5 star location. I see many marginal, frankly questionable properties rated at 4 or more on VRBO and other listing sites, but this is a solid, no question 5 star property. It is a converted historic Cotswold barn, with charming character coupled with all modern flooring, furniture, fixtures, plumbing, appliances and on. The manager is very helpful. As my wife said, it felt like home the moment we walked in. Great location just minutes from the train station with easy access to London and bus lines. Highly recommended

Lovely Cotswold Cottage

We had an enjoyable winter week in the Highgate cottage Moreton.. It was clean and very well equipped with everything we could want . All kitchen utensils were like new, very comfortable beds , lovely bathrooms and seating with rugs for extra comfort. The log burner was also great during the cold spell while there. Location is excellent, a gated property just off the town centre. Would thorough recommend it.

Best cottage we've stayed in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Highgate. The cottage was absolutely spotless and really beautifully styled and furnished. We found everything we needed and more, for a very comfortable and easy stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we even had a little welcome basket which was a nice surprise. We made good use of the fire every evening and just enjoyed the peace and quiet, although there is a big smart tv and a load of games provided too. The bed (in the bedroom above the dining room) was so comfortable that it was difficult to leave it in a morning! We slept so well as it was so so quiet (there was nobody staying in the opposite cottage and we didn't see any other neighbours) The whole place has been really well thought out with the layout of the 2 bedrooms being at opposite ends of the house and each having their own bathroom so 2 couples could stay very comfortably and have their own space. The location was perfect being tucked away right off the high street with its own gated access and private parking spot. All the convenience of the shops without the noise. We absolutely loved it there and can't wait to return!

Exceeded expectations for first time "Cotswolders"

Could not have asked for a better experience being our first time to the Cotswolds. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities one would need. Location was great, place was clean, and the fireplace and games made for nice relaxation time when we weren't out exploring. Instructions were clear and Helen was great to deal with!
