*Cosy Cotswold Retreat* - Owl's Roost, Moreton in Marsh, Heart of the Cotswolds

Owl's Roost is a bright and welcoming cottage suitable for 2 self-catering guests. Accessing the property via the private entrance, guests enter the front door into the central hallway. Doors to the cosy double bedroom and separate bathroom lead from the hallway and on to the thoughtfully designed living space.

The private courtyard garden, accessed through French doors from the lounge area, provides an outdoor dining option and offers an enticing space to enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on a day's sightseeing and a restful area to enjoy 'sundowners' on your return.

In addition to the contemporary dining table and chairs, the newly installed kitchen is well equipped with an integrated cooker with hob, extractor hood, integrated fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Guests can relax on the sofa and enjoy their favourite Netflix series (own account required) on the internet enabled TV.

The newly refurbished bathroom offers a walk-in shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

We are happy to welcome one well behaved dog, but do ask that they are kept off the furniture and dogs under 12 months must be crated. No dogs are to be left alone in the property. Off street parking is provided for guests.

Located just off the Fosseway (A429) into Moreton-in-Marsh, Owl's Roost is just 8 mins stroll to the centre of this bustling market town, where guests can access a wide range of pubs, tea rooms and restaurants.
Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, Moreton-in-Marsh provides an ideal base from which to explore a wealth of attractions such as Blenheim Palace, Batsford Arboretum, Seizencote Gardens and Cotswold Water Park, not to mention the traditional Cotswold villages such as Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Chipping Campden and Broadway. Gloucester, Cheltenham and Oxford are all within an hours drive and are also easily accessible via train from the local station.

Check in time is 4.00pm and check out time is 11.00am. If you wish to arrive in the morning and enjoy a day's sightseeing, it may be possible to arrange to leave suitcases or bags with us until check-in is available.

TrĂšs bon sejour dans le gĂźte ! Appartement spacieux et trĂšs propre. Les proprietaires sont attentionnĂ©s et discrets. EntrĂ©e indĂ©pendante. A 15 min Ă  pied de la gare. ArrĂȘt de bus tout proche. SupermarchĂ© Ă  quelques pas. Je recommande pour une dĂ©couverte des Cotswolds.

Lovely little property! Perfect for myself, partner and spaniel for a weekend away. The cottage was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. The welcome package was a lovely touch, very thoughtful. Michelle and Mark were both great hosts, couldn’t do enough for us, and their dog Ebony was very welcoming! The area is just perfect, short drives to neighbouring picturesque villages and Moreton itself is great. Lots of dog friendly pubs and cafes. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Cotswolds.

Perfect place to stay to see the Cotswolds! The hosts, Michelle and Mark were great, kind and helpful. We had a rental car so the off street reserved parking was fantastic. Superior amenities and furnishings- complete with a private outdoor space. The place was pristine and sparkling clean and comfortable. We had an easy walk to the pubs, restaurants and shops in Morton-in-March which allowed both of us to have a pint or glass of wine with dinner. We ate at the Inn on the Marsh, The Snug Bar at the White Heart Hotel and Bellinis. All were very good, but definitely do not miss Bellinis. The pizza was as good as we had in Italy and my husband ‘s pasta was equally delicious. We highly recommend the Owl’s Roost for anyone who wants to visit the Cotswolds.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Owls roost. Friendly welcome on arrival with an amazing personalized welcome pack for both of us and our dog. The stay was excellent. It was within walking (if you are walkers like we are) of the train station after arriving from London. We arrived early and emailed Michelle that we would be arriving earlier than check-in time. She responded quickly. We were able to get in early which we appreciated very much. Owls Roost was very clean and welcoming, with several items like croissants, butter and jam! Thank you for that. We left our luggage, then walked back into town. Every morning of our stay we walked back into town to catch a bus to explore the Cotswold. Thank you Michelle for a fabulous stay!

I had a lovely stay at Owl’s Roost! I highly recommend it and would come back again. The location is perfect: very quiet and peaceful, yet only a short walk from the heart of the town, and convenient to bus/train. The tidy flat is cozy but intelligently laid out, so there is plenty of space. The lovely garden sitting area is a special bonus. Thoughtful amenities were very welcoming. Each time I thought I might need something, I had only to look around and I found it (hooks/hangers, bread knife, cling film, etc.).

Easy to find. Ideal location to visit the Cotswolds Property was -Clean. Well equipped. Private. Sunny courtyard. Walking distance to shops and a pub with Pub food. Only drawback the bedroom is small. We would go back again.

Comfortable Stay and Caring Hosts

My husband Tom and I stayed 4 nights in this lovely little apartment, hosted by Michelle and Mark, who live in the adjoining house. We had no problem finding the property and there was a designated spot in the driveway for our rental car. In advance of our stay, our hosts sent a “things to do in the area” document with lots of suggestions. We especially enjoyed visiting the nearby Batsford Arboretum (nice to see the early spring flowers in bloom) and the weekly outdoor market. Michelle and Mark went above and beyond, letting us borrow hiking poles, washing my jeans and coat after I took a tumble on a muddy section of foot path, and calling us after we had departed to tell us we had left some important papers behind.

Clean, lovely, great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay at this well stocked, comfortable property. Buses and trains provided great access for exploring the Cotswolds. The hosts were extremely helpful before & during our stay. We highly recommend this cottage; hope to return someday! It’s exactly as advertised!!

Exceptional Apartment ‱ Perfect to Explore the Area

This is our 2nd stay in the Owl’s Roost. Again, a perfect place for us as we explore Moreton and the surrounding area. It’s as neat as a pin and the hosts are the best! Hospitality top notch and they offer a great amount of information on how to enjoy the area. The location is ideal. Grocery store across the street and numerous shops and restaurants a 10 minute scenic walk away. Couldn’t be better for our stay. We’ll be back!

Clean, cozy and convenient

Owl’s Roost was exactly as described —very clean, cozy, welcoming and only a few minutes walk to all amenities. Moreton-In-Marsh is a lovely town with shopping and authentic restaurants, plus it is a great base for exploration. We arrived by train from London. We hiked in the area, and bussed to other Cotswold towns easily. Michelle is a lovely host and we hope to visit again.

Convenient rest spot

The Owl's Nest was a perfectly serviceable attached unit behind a residential home for a stay in Moreton. Although just outside the town, it has easy access. The manager provided clean and functional facilities and some nice welcome extras in food and drink. Outside of a noisy neighborhood party and a slight shower mishap, it was a nice place to stay.
