Well Cottage a tout le charme pour des vacances paisibles et relaxantes offrant des commodités modernes dont le WiFi. Ce cottage indépendant en pierre de Cotswold est bien proportionné avec des chambres de bonne taille et est magnifiquement positionné loin des affaires de la rue principale à seulement 50 mètres de la rivière Windrush et à 2 minutes à pied du centre du village. Il a été restauré avec amour avec ses poutres apparentes d'origine et sa grande cheminée à l'anglaise avec un poêle à bois. Le Cottage Garden est situé autour d'un puits d'origine et propose de nombreuses variétés de fleurs d'Iris en mai, de lavande, d'herbes et de nombreux rosiers. Il y a un parking privé pour 1 voiture avec une grande allée grande ouverture et un parking pour une deuxième voiture à proximité de la propriété. Le salon est joliment meublé avec des meubles uniques soigneusement choisis et un somptueux canapé confortable de fabrication anglaise. Toutes les œuvres d'art ont été choisies pour montrer certains des talents locaux des Cotswolds. L'étage a été entièrement recouvert de tapis et dispose de draps de haute qualité. et des serviettes faites en anglais. Well Cottage est une entreprise bien établie et les critiques peuvent être lues sur Trip Advisor comme un témoignage de ce charmant cottage. This cottage in the center of "Bourton On The Water" ...village of stones in the middle of Cotswolds ...you can live a moment in the authentic England and change your life's rythm...stop the run and enjoy the simple quietness. We have had a very good moment in a lovely cosy's house and realy confortable, with a nice garden. The charm it's also to feel "at home" , in safety and in the morning to go outside with the dog and to meet people who says "good morning" It's the true England ...Finally to have a favorit moment with BETTY and DOWN , always and listen to us for everything to have. Great moment, splendid country...unforgettable memories, Sure we will come again to see Cotswolds...Hermine & Dominique fron FRANCE

A cottage full of character with a homely feel in a fantastic location. Its an easy short stroll to the village & having off street parking was great. Bourton on the Water is a quaint village & a great base for exploring the whole Cotswolds area. Our hosts Dawn & Bette were very responsive & helpful especially when we had a door key issue over a weekend and the welcome gifts are a lovely touch. We're glad we chose Well Cottage for our stay.

What a lovely, cosy cottage! Hosts were easy to communicate with and place was clean and a home away from home. My partner who's 6'3" struggled with the low ceilings but we assumed that would be the case so it was fine. Kitchen had salt and pepper and plenty of pots and pans. Street parking for second car was available. Highly recommended!

Location, location, location! If you have read anything about Bourton-On-The-Water, you know it is a very popular village for visitors, but this charming cottage is set on a quiet residential street where you will not even notice any tourists. It is perfectly situated to enjoy effortless access to the high street where you can find restaurants and shops and soak in all the atmosphere of the beautiful village. Add in the dedicated parking space and it was perfect. I could not have asked for more. I booked a one month getaway just before Christmas and it was a wonderfully relaxing stay! The cottage is very quaint with beamed ceilings and stone walls. The décor is curated to give the full Cotswold feeling. The host even decorated the cottage for the holidays. It is so charming that passersby would stop and take photos of the outside. Most important to me, the cottage was clean and tidy. The host was lovely. She was responsive and helpful if I needed anything. I felt welcomed like a friend. I am already thinking about my next booking!

What a beautiful little cottage this was! There were 5 of us staying over Christmas: a husband and wife, 2 adult daughters and one daughter’s best friend. It was magical! Perfectly positioned close to the town, we visited pubs, bakeries, gift shops, local potteries. Our daughter cooked a huge baked turkey in the small, but well stocked with utensils, kitchen. We played cards in front of the open fire. Bette had left a gorgeous little Christmas tree, that we surrounded with our gifts. The house was warm and comfortable, with great water pressure in the above-bath shower. My younger 30 year old daughter said it was her favourite Christmas ever! Thank you Dawn and Bette!

What a charming cottage, clean, well furnished, and conveniently located just one block from the River Windrush and the local shops and restaurants. It's a perfect place from which to explore Bourton-on-the-Water. Just one hiccup -- the latch of the washing machine broke with out wet laundry still inside it -- but Dawn was nice enough to take our phone call after 9pm at night, and let us know where we could locate the appropriate tools, and even offered to have a repairman come in the morning. We'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a weekend getaway here.

Lovely historic cottage with modern appointments. A block walk to the river / bridge. Bourton-on-the-water (pronounced like board) - is charming, right there w good pubs & restaurants.We loved our stay, the ease of owner communications and the closeness of rural views & nature.Highest marks !

The cottage is in a perfect location. A few steps away from the river walk but just tucked away around the corner enough that you are away from the busy main area. We used it as a base for some long walks out into the countryside (especially liked the Windrush Way hike) and easy walk to places for dinner. Walking to both Lower and Upper Slaughter is a must! There were only two of us. Would be a bit cosy if you actually had five people in there. We became accustomed to catching the bus to go to Moreton in Marsh and from there you will find a lot of bus/train connections to explore other areas. Went on a day visit to Chipping Camden which is lovely. The church there is a must see! On a rainy afternoon, we visited the Motoring Museum and it was a very pleasant surprise. We were amazed at how big it actually is. When we left, we took the train from Moreton in Marsh to London Paddington which took just over an hour. There is no train station in Bourton on the Water.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful 16th-century cottage. The property is full of character and charm, with many original features that really add to the atmosphere, yet it’s been thoughtfully updated to ensure modern comfort.The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the beds were extremely comfortable — we slept very well. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. While the bath was a little high, it’s a minor point and didn’t detract from the overall comfort.The location is fantastic — peaceful yet convenient — and we really appreciated the off-street parking. One of the highlights was the lovely cream tea waiting for us when we arrived. It was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch from the hosts.Overall, a delightful place to stay, blending historic charm with modern convenience. We would absolutely return!

Wonderful 16th Cottage.

My wife and son had the most delightful 4 night stay in this wonderful cottage in the heart of Boughton with only 2 mins walk to the centre. From begining to end everything was a breeze. Ease of location, parking, entry, cleanliness upstairs downstairs, comfort, good facilities, overall it was perfect. Even on arrival the owners had left a "sweet"surprise for my wife's celebration - a very nice touch for our stay. Thank you.I fully recomend this beautiful property for any length of stay.

Well Cottage is absolutely charming in every way! Great location, well appointed, and very clean with comfy beds and a great bathroom. (note: the bathtub/shower can be pretty high to step into for older or disabled folks but you can hold on to the sink to help you in--see the photos). About 9 steps to get upstairs. Bourton-on-the-Water is just a lovely village! A lot of other people must think so too--lots of tourists but they are well behaved, mostly families. Would love to stay there again. Just a magical little place to stay!

Truly full of character! Lovely cottage very close to Windrush, but tucked away from crowds. We drove in to Bourton so we very much appreciated the parking on premises. We were a bit concerned about the absence of A/C but it was completely unnecessary!

A wonderful stai in the Cotswolds

We spent a relaxing 2 weeks in this gorgeous period cottage. Dawn and Bette were excellent hosts and have attended to every need. Comfortable bedding, quiet and very cosy surroundings. Although only a couple of minutes from the main street it is very private and quiet. We made an excellent choice, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a base in the Cotswolds.

10/10. What a fantastic place inside and out. Absolutely spotless, comfortable, you couldn't ask for better hosts. Friendly neighbours and a great ice-cream guy at the end of the street. Watch for many tourists taking photos, you are a historical cottage after all. Thanks for everything Bette and Dawn.

Well Cottage was a wonderful experience start to finish. The host was excellent- wonderful communication- especially appreciated written instructions upon arrival and lovely cream tea!Very charming, cozy cottage. Cutest cottage in the Cotswolds!

Dawn does not miss a single detail in making this cottage more than special. To mention a few key items that made our stay perfect: the linens (!), very comfortable beds, high end equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture to relax on after long hikes in the beautiful countryside, sweet outdoor sitting area - and Dawn as our host! Home was built in 1600’s and thoughtfully preserved with all the modern touches that made our stay very comfortable. The cottage is less than 2 blocks from town and has its own parking space. Town gets busy but what a quiet oasis to come home to! Dawn, thank you for sharing this rare gem!

A charming cottage in the heart of the village.

This charming cottage, built in the 16th century, is nestled in the heart of the village. Within a stone’s throw, you’ll find a bakery, a pharmacy, and a supermarket. For a more extensive grocery selection, there’s a larger COOP just a 10-minute walk away. Additionally, there are several walking paths nearby, eliminating the need to drive. The friendly owner is always ready to assist with any questions you may have. Enjoy your stay!

Well Cottage is owned by my Mum, Bette. Both my Mum and I run Well Cottage as a business and enjoy sharing this property with others. We love the fact that Well Cottage is an unusual and unique property which has not 'not had its heart removed giving guests a truly authentic experience of modern meeting 16th Century. Once in the cottage you will feel its charm and feel its the peace of time in this detached cottage with an original Well in the Garden and having so much history and character attached to it. It was a "gem of a find" when my Mum and Dad originally bought it back in 1994 and we will never want to sell it!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Bourton on the water has so much in itself to offer with its river and beautiful bridges, many boutique style shops, antiques, perfumery and lovely cafe's and restaurants - all within a 2 min walk. Attractions are Birdland, Motor Museum, The Model Village, Hawkstone Brewery and the wonderful Greystones Farm Nature Reserve to walk through. There are many trails around the village to enjoy leading you to other villages nearby such as The Slaughters.
