Enjoyed our stay! The apartment was very clean and modern with an easy check-in/out process. Faye was a perfect host, very responsive and helpful. The location was perfect for us with lots of surrounding shops, cafes and restaurants with an easy bus route into Brighton or a nice walk along the beach front to Brighton. Would highly recommend.
The location and overall look and layout is very good. The check in was easy and communication on parking etc appreciated. A few easy fixes which would have made all the difference: The mattresses have slumped and need changing. The wine / champagne glasses, cutting boards, pots pans, salad / serving bowels etc were very disappointing and well below standard for this price point. The water temp is dangerously hot and would be illegal in many countries. The towel rail in the main bedroom was hot enough to burn the skin, radiator control in lounge broken. The dishwasher is missing internal racks which prevented efficient stacking so resorted to hand washing. Kitchen and bathroom cupboards need internal shelves so they can be used effectively. The open cupboard, with the iron and board, hoover, dustpan, mop etc needs shelving and at least a curtain ...its in the main reception. These things could all be addressed for a fraction of the cost of our 11 night stay so would happily stay again and highly recommend, if they were addressed ..... but currently did not meet expectations.
Comfy beds, crisp cotton sheets, fluffy towels and good showers are always at the top of my list when staying somewhere and it ticked all these boxes.
Location is fantastic for enjoying Hove and a walk along the beach to Brighton.
The host, Faye, was great at communicating so the check in / out process was very easy. Whatâs not to love?
The property was designed in 1889 by eminent Hove architect and builder John T. Chappell. It has many historical features left within the property including coving, feature fire places, stain glass windows and parquet flooring.
It has a large garden with seating and bbq, a spacious living room area and three generous bedrooms (two being ensuite).
The beach is only across the road, and it's ideally suited for staying in Brighton & Hove.
