Cortona : villas

We have spent two lovely weeks in Villa Rassena in August 2024. The house was great, as presented on the website. The pool was definitely a must have during the hot August days. Louise was a great host, taking care of the pool, providing very good advice on the visits, the shops, the restaurants. Can you imagine yourself, on the evening of your arrival, sitting at the table of a small pizzeria 2km away from the house and eating the best pizza you have ever eaten. Can you imagine yourself, the day after your arrival, a Sunday, going to the local grocery store with the kindest owners and buying the best home-made lasagna, local cheese, ham and pesto you have ever eaten. This is what we experienced for real. We are French and food means a lot to us. The local cuisine and the quality of the products from Tuscany are as important as the Duomo from Firenze. Thank you Louise for recommending those restaurants and shops. Louise was always super kind with us and very discrete. It was the reading of the 30+ comments on the web page that convinced us to rent Villa Rassena. Everything is 100% true. So we highly recommend Villa Rassena. Go for it. You won't regret it.

Great property with beautiful views on Cortona. The owners were very kind and very responsive. The swimming pool is very large and our kids spent an enourmous amount of time there. The kitchen is well equipped, bedrooms are spacious and well decorated with aircon much appreciated in summer. We had some issues with water pressure in one of the houses, but the owners were about to change the boiler and fix the issue. Highly recommended for two/three families.

La villa Ugo est située à 15min de la ville de Cortona. Isolée du bruit, c'est un havre de paix ! Sa situation proche de nombreuses villes intéressantes à visiter permet de rayonner dans la région tout au long de son séjour. La maison est bien équipée, confortable, mais on vit surtout en extérieur, sur la terrasse et autour de la piscine. Cette dernière a un accès fermé, idéal quand on a un enfant ! Petit + pour le propriétaire dont la maison est voisine et qui produit du Gin : il faut absolument prendre rendez-vous pour une dégustation si on est amateur. Petit - pour trouver la maison, seul google maps la référence correctement, avec un autre GPS on peut tourner des heures autour, et se retrouver sur des chemins quasi impraticables en voiture, très désagréable...

Entre cigales et grillons, en pleine nature, magnifique maison bien restaurée , avec goût et belles prestations. Accueil parfait, possibilité de repas sur la terrasse comme au restaurant ! Superbe piscine avec vue imprenable sur la vallée et coucher de soleil mémorable !! Merci à Diane et à tout le staff !

The house was just perfect for our group of 13 with kids in the age of 9 till 16. The view is stunning, the kitchen well equiped, the interior very cosy. Matteo was a great help during our stay and contact with Ashley was very friendly. we enjoyed dinner made by Daniela and the pizza man. We absolutely will recommend this place to friends. A few notes, it is indeed a steep and bumpy road to reach the house which is not for all people that convenient ;-) Restaurants and villages are a 20/30 minute drive. Some chairs in the garden are a but old/broken and need to be renewed. So as some musquito nets in front of the windows. The fan in our bedroom was not working after a few nights. It could either be off or used on full speed and also the showers in 2 bathrooms broke down during our stay. So maintenance needs to be done here and there of which Matteo takes very good care. But above all we would love to be back!
