Our stay in Venezia was truly wonderful, and our apartment in the Cannaregio neighborhood helped make it so wonderful. Our check in was seamless; Silvia, who met us to check us in, was incredibly helpful and kind. The neighborhood was quiet and off the tourist track. The apartment was large and modern, and was well appointed with everything that we needed. Staying in Venice allowed us to truly fall in love with this unique city because the population of the city drops substantially in the early evening as all of the day-trippers/cruise-shippers leave the city. Our quiet dinners in Venice were amongst our favorite memories! This rental was everything we could have needed and more.
I have to say the apartment was a beautiful apartment and Gabriella who met us when we arrived was so nice and helpful. Unfortunately once we settled in we noticed that one of the bathrooms had a sewage odor that continued to get worse and one of the showers in another bathroom would not drain. I called Gabriellaâs phone and she arrived within 10 minutes. She let us know that the previous week they had the same problem but she thought it had been fixed. She was very apologetic and told us she would contact the manager. We had to take the mattress off of the bed and close both the bedroom and bathroom doors just so that we could sleep for the night because the odor was overpowering. The manager emailed me and said he would be over the next day with a plumber to fix the problem. He also said he would refund one nights rent which was good. We came back to the apartment after the plumber had left but the manager was still there. The drain downstairs was cleared but the manager Federico told me there was no odor in the other bathroom. I went into the bathroom and the odor was gone. Federico gave me the impression that he felt there had never been any odor and that I was making it up. Once he left we used the bathroom and once we flushed the toilet the odor was back stronger than before. It was so bad that we had to leave the apartment and get hotel rooms for our last night in Venice.
Even with the one night refund we are still disappointed. For the first two days we were there instead of having 3 bedrooms and three baths we only had two bedrooms and one and a half baths for a group of six. If I knew we were going to have to do that I could have rented a less expensive apartment.
Apparently the plumbing problem had been an issue but it was not properly addressed.
I must say this is a wonderful apartment and Gabriella was so nice and helpful and she seemed to be somewhat embarrassed and frustrated at the fact that we were having the same problem that she thought had already been fixed.
We enjoyed our stay in Venice. It was in a quiet residential area, but with short walking distance to many attractions. The host was very responsive. The check-in process went smoothly and the pictures are just as listed. The only thing not noted in the listing was a large amount of stairs from the ground floor bedroom to the main level.
This was a great spot that accommodated my family of 7. We all had plenty of room and the place was gorgeous. The check-in / check-out process was smooth. We absolutely loved this location and enjoyed walking to and from various venues. We would definitely stay here again. If you have a hard time with steps I would caution this location because of the large staircase to get to the main living space. Other than that, it was beautiful.
Spacious and comfortable in a quiet area of Venice.
Clean and well organised. It has everything we need. Our host met us on time for early check in soon after we got off the train. She provided us with a map and explained how everything worked and where to find food, drink, etc. We followed a few of the recommendations and found them to be excellent. The flat is quiet and comfortable. The long flight of stairs is not so daunting after a day walking around the city. The heating was a bit tricky. It seems that the main temperature sensor is in the cupboard with the heater and we found it worked best to keep the cupboard door open. Overall a great place to stay.
Our family of 6 really enjoyed this apartment. It's located in an area of Venice that is not super touristy, so it very quiet day and night even in early August. The A/C in all rooms was so welcoming as it was very hot and humid. The one downside of using the A/C is that it's hard to use many other appliances at the same time as they together trip the breaker. The dishwasher's electricity usage really seemed to be the biggest problem. Despite this happening 4-5 times, the apartment was wonderful. The bedrooms are roomy, the beds are comfortable, the showers were bigger than any we had used so far in Italy, and the kitchen is decently equipped. We even hired a chef to cook for us in the apartment, and it worked out well. The bunk beds were great. It seemed to be more like a full size bed on top of a queen size bed. Very roomy. All the linens and towels were good quality. One queen/king is downstairs and the bunks and another king are upstairs. The stairs are marble/stone and very steep. It would not be great for very young children or very old adults. There is a washing machine. We really liked the comfort of this apartment.
We loved our stay in Ca Farnese. It's spacious and comfortable, with everything you need (including a wheeled shopping bag, which was handy for taking the recycling and rubbish down to the collection point). There is one bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, and a long and quite steep flight of stairs up to the main apartment (not suitable for anyone with mobility problems). It's located on a quiet residential street on the edge of the historic Jewish district, with lots of bars and restaurants close by (our favourite was on Fondamentadelle Cappuccine, and that whole area is quite lively). Fondamenta di Cannaregio is good for having a drink and watching the sunset. The vaporetto stop (San Marcuola) is a short walk. Our host, Federico, was very helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment, and would definitely stay here again.
This wonderful Venice Flat with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths was perfect for the 3 of us. We were three woman who all wanted our own space, yet wanted to be together and this flat worked out perfectly. Everything is in walking distance. Frederico was wonderful with information. I think it should be noted that one bedroom is on the first floor, while the other 2 are up a very long flight of stairs, but that was not a problem for us. The place was clean and comfortable and offered us a cozy refuge during the cold weather and horrible rain storms. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.
Fantastic location. Perfect mix of near the sights, but nice and quiet too.
Apartment was immaculate and a lovely mix of new and old. Everything you needed on the doorstep. Very near key transport links, but also easy walk to all that Venice has to offer. Federico was a great host too. Lots of key information at start of trip. I would not hesitate to recommend and we hope to return soon.
We had the most wonderful stay in this bright, beautiful apartment. The location was fantastic. Easy to get to from the parking structures, and to all parts of the city. And even more important you weren't in the middle of the tourist path, so Venice seemed quite and peaceful. This apartment was great for our big group of five adults, but would also be prefect for a couple looking to get away. Even though we were only in Venice for a few days, Federico and Christina were wonderful and made excellent suggestions for our short stay. We already have plans to return and hope that we can stay in this apartment.
