The cottage was in a perfect location for my family's one week stay. Only a short drive to Bar Harbor, the beach at Seal Harbor and the trails and carriage roads of Acadia.
The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for preparing any meals. The air conditioner and heaters (one cool night!) worked very well. I recommend this cottage to everyone planning on visiting the area!
Great communication with owners. Nice cottage. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Very convenient location. We had 2 adults and 2 teens and enough room for us all. Full kitchen allowed us to have breakfast at home, make lunches for outings, and eat dinner in when we wanted to.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. Nestled in a peaceful location, it offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, while still being conveniently close to both the town and Acadia National Park. The cottage is well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully functional kitchen for meal preparation. Grace was incredibly responsive and attentive, ensuring that all of our questions were promptly answered. If we return to Acadia National Park, this cottage will undoubtedly be our top choice for accommodations.
We loved the coziness and location. We were out of the busyness of Bar Harbor but close enough to easily get to excursions. So easy and quick to get to our hikes and bikes along Park Road. The place is spotless and comfortable! Enjoyed the deck every night. Very responsive host! So accommodating.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (first time in Maine!) at the little cottage on Otter Creek Dr. It was the perfect place to experience everything in Acadia and Bar Harbor. Debbie was extremely helpful with answering questions and giving good suggestions before our trip, and she was very responsive when we had a little problem with the toilet not working. A very nice plumber came out first thing the next morning to take care of it! Thank you for everything!
Very clean and comfortable. More interior space than you would think from the exterior. Nice deck with chairs. Kitchen well stocked. Owner attentive to any requests/issues and quick to respond.
Grace family are very nice people. Our Original check in date Was the landing date of hurricane Henri, Grace emailed us to offer that we can postpone to avoid road trip risk. Also the cabin is Very clean, Nice backyard deck facing forest, and right in the Acadia park, also close to bar Harbor downtown . A few minutes drive to otter Cliff, great location. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time. The Biallas family was welcoming and made sure that the house was well prepared for visitors.
Our kids loved sharing a room. The beds had drawers for each of them to organize themselves.
This was our first trip to Maine and to Acadia. The cottage was located close to town and to Acadia. We didnât want to leave!
This was our 1st trip to Acadia/ Bar Harbor. The cottage is near the excitement of Bar Harbor, the peacefulness of Acadia National Park. It is clean & inviting. The owners were quick to respond to our questions & gave us some recommendations for local stores & restaurants. It was perfect for our 40th anniversary vacation. Thank you!
Our family fell in love with Downeast Maine in the early 1970's when we used to tent camp in Camden Maine and visit Acadia as a day trip. Soon we were exclusively tent and RV camping at Blackwoods Campground in Acadia. After approximately 10 years, we decided to buy a piece of Mount Desert Island to call our own. We gutted and lovingly renovated this 1930's cottage situated on 2 acres, adding all modern amenities. As our family grew we added an additional room for extra living space along with a deck where we enjoy many a meal together. At night we sit on the deck or grab chairs and sit in the front yard to enjoy viewing the dark night sky and the Milky Way and if we are lucky we catch the occasional Aurora Borealis and brilliant shooting stars.
There is the old adage: "Location, Location, Location!", it might sound corny but that's what is great about our property - being situated in the middle of Mount Desert Island affords us great opportunities to explore Acadia. Staying on the island easily saves valuable vacation time.
We have a close proximity to the Sieur De Monts (5 min/2.5mi) and Seal Harbor (6min/3.8mi) entrances to Acadia National Park. Through these entrances you could be out on the rocky Atlantic coastline or on a hiking trail within 15-20 minutes. We are just 3 short miles from Downtown Bar Harbor where you can enjoy unique shops, a variety of restaurants and entertainment, leisure parks and a great shore path from which you can view the noteable Porcupine Islands.
