Everything was amazing, Carmelo is a great host who made sure to welcome us personally. The apartment is very spacious and equipped with everything that is needed. The terrace is so big and the view is so incredibly beautiful that it was hard to believe this is all for us! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

A perfect location, walkable to the beach of Isola Bella and only a cable car or bus ride away from the town centre. Stunning and very large private terrace overlooking the sea. All air conditioned, comfortable and clean. My only suggestion would be to have include a microwave.

The property is a modest one but please don't this put you off. The location and views are superb. A well stocked small supermarket is just a few feet away and the young shop assistany speaks english and was very helpful.

Great apartment and location. Beautiful views and local facilities. Taormina is accessible either by a 40 minute walk/climb or by Bus or Cable car. Friendly and helpful host. Definitely try and stay here again.

Absolute gem in a perfect location

Honestly we could not have been happier. The most magical location and beautiful, traditional home. We absolutely adored our week here and would absolutely come again in a heart beat! This beautiful space is incredibly value for money being minutes from the beach and the cable car to Taormina.

Great view

Carmelo was very accommodating. He allowed us to check in early, explained everything we needed to do during our stay. He was only a few minutes away if we had any problem and came over very quickly. A really nice man. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Great Location and very pleasant Host

We had a great time in Taormina Mazzaro and were frequent at the lovely beach (gravel/pebble) nearby the Isola bella. Since we had a rental car, which was no problem with parking following the advice of our Host, we spent also a lot of time traveling around. Thanks to Carmelo Ruggeri!

Lovely apartment with amazing views

The property was as advertised and shown in the listing, it is spacious and has a fantastic terrace. Carmelo (host) was extremely helpful meeting us when we arrived and showing us around the apartment. The decor is very traditional, comfortable and has everything that you need. The only point that we would make is perhaps the outside furniture could do with an upgrade and an additional lounger.All in all, a lovely property in a fantastic location.

Wow!

Absolutely fantastic stay at what must be one of the best locations in Taormina.Carmelo was ill the day of our check in but his lovely sister, Francesca met us for a very easy check in.The huge terrace is simply fantastic and it’s perfect for an early morning coffee or that last glass of wine. We never tired of that view!If you are able to book it, you won’t be disappointed. We would come back in a heartbeat.Thank you for hosting us in such a fantastic apartment.

Beautiful view on the Isola Bella!

A gigantic private terrace with a view on the sea. You literally could hear the crashing of the waves, while you enjoyed the view on the peninsula. We had a lot of space in the clean flat which has unique and old furniture. The owner, Carmelo, was very friendly and sympathetic. Altogether it was one of our best and beautiful vacations!

Perfect Stay With the Best View

We had the best time in this apartment. It truly is a home away from home! The owner is welcoming. The apartment is clean and has everything you need. The location is perfect. There are markets nearby, steps to the beach and the funicular to take you up to Taormina. The best part is of course - your huge, private patio with views of the Isola. We woke every morning to views of the ocean from our bed and spent every evening enjoying the sunsets on the patio. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Grazie Carmelo!

The location of this apartment is special. The view from the expansive balcony is like a scene out of a movie, but even more spectacular. It is located a short distance from the beach, train station, wonderful restaurants and shopping. We found the apartment to be spotless upon arrival. All the essentials such as towels, a fully loaded kitchen, coffee, snacks, and toothbrushes were proved. The host, Carmelo was very nice and made sure our stay would be a special one. A bit of paradise

This apartment is very comfortable and well equipped, with an absolutely magical view! The location is perfect with easy access to the bus stops and taxi stands. The funicular is very close but was not in operation during our stay. The beach is across the street and down the stairs and there are lots of beach chairs and umbrellas as well as restaurants. Some of the best restaurants in Taormina are within a block or so of the property. The stairs up to Taormina are long and steep but close by. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The best part is the enormous private terrace with lemon trees and flowers and a breathtaking view of Isola Bella and the blue sea! We definitely recommend this lovely place and hope to return!

Great apartment

The apartment is Traditional Sicilian, spacious, clean, well equipped and benefits from an elevator. The host is Carmelo, a really nice guy who offers a very warm welcome. The views of Isola Bella and surrounding mountains from the balcony are stunning. The beach is stony so take beach shoes. The Isola Bella has a visitor centre with a fee of 5€ (super value) There are minimarkets, restaurants and snack bars in the immediare vicinity. Taormina is popular with tourists and this is wher e the bus terminal is. There are bus stops within a short walking distance of the apartment but we found the timetables confusing and sometimes misleading so waiting at a stop for an hour or more was normal. Also if you use the bus not all of them accept cards so have cash ready. Overall, it was a great pleasure staying at Gianni house and meeting Carmelo.

Left a bit of our hearts in Isola Bella

The most beautiful, breathtaking, phenomenal, magistical, stunning view of Isola Bella. The apartment is well equipment and the beds super comfy. The aircon provided much needed respite from the summer temperatures ( early July). The terrace offers outside dining or aperitifs with the best view. There is a lift to help you up those last few stairs to the apartment after slogging the stairs to and from the beach ( which are very worth every step). Make sure to take your beach shoes ( the rocks are a hard on your feet without them) and a snorkel and mask. Nothing was too big a problem for Carmelo, who without hestitation, came out at midnight to fix something for us. The apartment is close to the cable car up to Taormina ( runs from 8 am to 1am) or there are regular busses from right outside the apartment door. Be prepared to want to come back. 💜

Unbelievable view!

I had a wonderful week in Mazarro! This apartment is a mix of original old world charm and modern conveniences. It was nice to have a very comfortable and real queen sized bed (not 2 twins pushed together) and a generous supply of extra towels, bedding, nice smelling soaps and ample kitchen supplies. There was plenty of hot water and good lighting in the bathroom. It was like visiting your sweet grandmother at her beach house and feeling her warm welcome. There were many thoughtful touches like water in the fridge, a basket of fruit, snacks, an extra toothbrush and paste. Nothing was overlooked. Carmelo and Francesca are as Sicilians are in general the warmest hearted people I’ve met. And the direct and unobstructed view of Isolabella took my breath away and I couldn’t stop looking at it in amazement. It was a down home and comfortable stay and I couldn’t ask for more!
