Great property, can't say enough about the excellent location. The listing is accurate, apartment is very clean and comfortable. Communication with the owner was easy. It was so nice to have a washing machine in the apartment. We would highly recommend this property and we would stay here again.
Great base for exploring Taormina and surroundings. Parking is not included, you need to pay for public parking. Great having use of the kitchen and really like the split level layout
Comfortable apartment in the heart of Taormina. Close to everything, but tucked away which reduces street noise. Right next to a grocery store and less than 5 minute walk from paid parking and multiple restaurants.
Could benefit from printed instructions for the TV.
The property is in a very good location. There is a small grocery store wi5h in a 2 minute walk from the unit. The only issue was every couple days at 6 am ish the garbage trucks dumps glass bottles and it makes a heck of a noise that early. Other wise a ver nice experience.
We had a lovely stay in this property. Vanessa, the owner, was very pleasant and accommodating. The house is in a very convenient area, just off of the main street, Corso Umberto and was very well placed for visiting any of the sights in the city. Conveniently, there is a supermarket just across the street with a very good offering for your day to day needs. The house has two lovely balconies on the first floor, which helps with generating air flow and light. The kitchen is adequate for some simple cooking and the downstairs utility room, with washing machine was very welcome. We also really appreciated the use of sun beds at Lido Re Del Sole in Spisone Beach and spent a very pleasant day there.
Thank you for everything Vanessa.
Lovely apartment in a perfect location. The kitchen and half bath are as you enter from the walkway in front of the apartment, and the living room, bedroom and full bath are up a flight of stairs. There are small balconies in both upstairs rooms. There are orange and lemon trees right in front of the apartment.
There is a super market and many fine restaurants within 100 yards and the Main Street of Taormina, Corso Umberto, starts at the Porta Catania, also just down the street.
The owner, Vanessa, was very attentive and arranged a car service to and from the airport in Catania.
We would stay here again without hesitation.
A great location and comfortable stay in busy Taormina!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at this apartment in Taormina! We appreciated the location in a quiet courtyard with easy access to a grocery store, great restaurants and bustling Corso Umberto. The apartment is spacious, well-appointed and VERY clean! It was nice to have use of the kitchen and laundry as well. The couch, sheets and bedspread were clean but worn, the wi-fi was a bit spotty and we could not get the bedroom ceiling fan to work (possible operator failure on our part??), but otherwise all was well here.
We especially enjoyed meals at Cuti Lu Dissi and Trattoria Don Camillo near the Porta Catania. Near Porta Messina, we loved the granita at Bam Bar, and had excellent meals at La Bottega del Formaggio and L'arco dei Cappuccini,. We also appreciated the fresh food available at the municipal market near L'arco dei Cappuccini.
We highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!
I have to be honest in my review so here goes: We read thru every review before renting. All the reviews were extremely positive so we booked this. Unfortunately, the bed was an old, hard and very stained mattress on a cheap metal bed frame and was extremely uncomfortable. The couch was very stained and we felt we could not even sit on it let alone use it as a sleeper. The walls in every room were dirty and in dire need of an updated paint job. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was so dirty we were afraid to turn it on. The utility room smelled so bad of mold that we had to keep the door closed because of the odors. The internet kept shutting off for no reason. The washer was convenient but there is no place to dry your clothes if itâs raining and sadly we got a lot of rain during our stay so we had to improvise. The oven did not work. The microwave didnât work properly and you had to constantly turn the dial to add time to cook or heat food. It was not quiet! Every morning at 4:30 AM someone rolls out trash cans to the street. There was constant loud music and noise from the restaurant next door.
Positives: it could be quite charming if it wasnât so neglected. The location is perfect as it is so close to Corso Umberto at the Porta Catania and honestly not a far walk to Porta Messina to pick up buses. The host did accommodate and fix things quickly ie; the tv did not work, AC started dripping water everywhere and the hair dryer did not fit into the bath electric outlet and she tried to fix the mold smell but her fix lasted less than a day. The market is just steps away and was very convenient. The hostâs restaurant next door does serve authentic Sicilian cuisine and it was delicious.
Overall I am happy for my two weeks in beautiful Sicily. The apartment makes a good base to be able to explore the entire region. The hostâs rep arranged for a car to take us to the airport and that was extremely helpful! . I would have put up with all of the minor issues if the bed was decent so it made it a tough stay for us.
The property is as advertised! It is close to grocery market and other food sources such as meat market, fish market and tourist shopping.
The owner previously lived in the apartment and has many of her personal touches.
There many restaurants close to the apartment, yet out of the noisy hustle of the city. We enjoyed our daily walks thru neighborhoods. I must tell you it is very hilly so be prepared.
We were here at the onset of the pandemic and had to leave early to return home. The owner was understanding and worked with us on our decision.
We will return for another visit.
Great location to be able to get to all the immediate sites and âactionâ in minutes, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. We felt we were in a neighborhood, out of the tourist crush. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The ownerâs restaurant is nearby and worth eating there many times for âtypicalâ Sicilian dishes (try the orange and onion salad). A grocery is across the street and a cannoli shop next to that. We certainly recommend this property if you are visiting Taormina and wish to stay on budget.
The apartment is lovely and very near to the car park and Corsa Umberto. An ideal base for exploring this beautiful area. Owners very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay

Great place in Taormino.
Owner was helpful and welcoming. The unit was very comfortable, clean and homey. Convenient location. Would stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay in Taormina so much because of this charming house in a perfect location. The views from the balconies were beautiful. We even had a bit of the sea to see from the bedroom. The kitchen worked out great, shower was good and the bed comfortable. We found a wonderful butcher and fish shop a short walk away, plus a general food market across the street. We would defiantly recommend it as a sweet place to stay. We enjoyed our lunch at the owner's restaurant nearby. I would suggest that the owner add some light in the kitchen.
We found that Taormina as a town was dominated by tourism, with the main streets very busy all day, so it was nice to be able to return easily to the peaceful apartment. The apartment has some lovely old features and plenty of space, so we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great apartment and so close to everything in Taormina.
My wife and I stayed at this location in late October of 2018. We really enjoyed the location and this apartment. The owner was very responsive to a slight issue we had on the first day and it was resolved within minutes. Vanessa (owner of the apartment) has a restaurant next door to the apartment, the prices were reasonable and the food was very good! We plan to return some day!
Superb setting in real neighborhood yet easy access to tourist sites
The apartment is in an excellent location-- it was in a quiet courtyard that felt like a 'real' neighborhood complete with orange tree outside, yet very short, easy walk into heart of Taormina. Grocery store & delicious cannoli shop right across the street. Kitchen is downstairs; the upstairs rooms were very comfortable with nice views to outside; some things like tp, dish soap were in short supply but no big deal as store across way. Only real issue for me was some confusion about checking in -- after communicating my arrival time & fact I had no cell phone, I arrived & followed email directions to go to neighboring restaurant to pick up key to apt; when got there sign on restaurant door indicated it was only open on weekends. In a quandary until kindness of neighbors resolved issue by calling owner who then came over with key. This glitch quickly forgotten, however, once I settled into the upstairs rooms of apartment & walked around the neighborhood.
Bella l'ubicazione all'inizio del centro storico (vicinissimo a porta Catania ed al parcheggio multipiano). Molto cortese e disponibile la proprietĂ (titolare anche di un vicinissimo ristorante)
