Ardenlea has recently been refurbished to high standard in a contemporary style with a fresh and welcoming environment.
The property sleeps up to 4 guests consisting of a spacious double bedroom and a cosy but comfortable 2nd bedroom.
The ground floor welcomes you into the living area leading into the fitted kitchen and dining area which boasts an orangery style roof to ensure a light, sun drenched room throughout the day. The kitchen opens out onto a courtyard garden with ample garden furniture and a BBQ to enjoy the late summer evenings.
Both bedrooms are located on the ground floor with the bathroom consisting of aa separate shower cubicle, a bath and a WC.
There is also a travel cot and high chair available.
Whilst the main living space is on the ground floor there is a set of stairs leading up into the eaves of this quirky house yet well maintained house.
This beautifully maintained house is complemented by its modern facilities, including WI-FI, flat screen TV, DVD Player and Alexa smart speaker. Outside there is patio furniture and a charcoal BBQ. You will need your own Charcoal.
The perfect place to stay to explore the local area and the wider Cotswolds.
Ideal, near village, location to save on taking the car in:close to supermarket and restaurants, cafes etc: clean and comfy with good shower and beds. We stayed for 4 nights and would have been quite happy to stay longer.
The cottage was lovely and the location was ideal. We did have some difficulty communicating with our host. That may have been our fault, it was difficult to tell.
Great for a family of 4. Bright, clean and fully equipped. Nice quiet neighbourhood and 15 minutes walk to town. Co-op is nearby, which is very convenient. Can get to this accommodation quite easily without having to fight through traffic in town centre.
If property manager can place a sign stating parking space at the gravel area, that would be useful. We accidentally parked at the wrong spot and luckily neighbours were quite understanding.
Lovely little bungalow, second bedroom very small. My daughter and I felt the bungalow was perfect for 2, it would be tight for 4 adults. Kitchen lovely though table would struggle to sit 4 adults. Lounge comfortable and well provisioned with books and games. Upstairs area was out of bounds which it didnât say in the listing! Location fabulous, just a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous Bourton on the water and a super base to explore the beautiful Cotswolds from. Some lovely walks on your door step.
We had a very enjoyable, and comfortable three night stay at Ardenlea. The property is in a very good location, and central to Bourton on the Water. The property was clean, and located in a very quiet residential area. Would definitely return in the future.
Ardenlea is a lovely bungalow situated on a quiet cul de sac, 5mins walk from the centre of Bourton-on-the-water. The bungalow was exceptionally clean and had everything you need, including washing machine, iron/board, hairdryer etc. The beds were also very comfortable. It felt very homely
Communication was also good we recievedquick responses and informationon how to find the bungalow. We would definitely stay again or would recommend as Adenlea is situated in the perfectly for visiting other areas of interest in the Cotswolds.
A comfortable stay and ideal location for easy access to Bourton. The house is well kept to a good standard.
The only drawback is the lack of a dishwasher - which most people would expect in a home let.
house very small. really only suitable for three people. Needs updating.
The house was quite small. The house appeared to have not been let this year and when entering was a bit smelly probable due to the shower U-bend drying out. Apart from underfloor periodic heating there is no other heating in the bathroom very necessary in March/April. Water from the basin taps needed constant mopping up. The kitchen was worse.
The kitchen lacked basic cleaning materials. EG bleach, kitchen foil Kitchen paper rolls, only two toilet rolls in total for the week!
There was no washing-up powder etc for the washing machine and no place to dry clothes. Cloths-horse?
The boiler is situated in the large bedroom wardrobe and was noisy at night and reduced the space in the wardrobe! not enough room for two grown ups. Similarly in the small bedroom the wardrobe was not big enough to contain two peoples clothes. There is only about a foot between the double bed and the walls two kids maybe two adults very "iffy"
In my view the owners of this property need to live in it themselves for a week and discover the many irritating issues that a customer would or might find.
Would I recommend this place : not in it's present layout etc.
It is advertised as 2 double bedrooms, however I would dispute that the second double bed is actually a double bed. There is very limited space to move around it, but thankfully the upstairs area provided extra space to "dress and move around". Maybe the area upstairs could be utilised better as a dressing area. All that said, it was a great location, spotless, and would definitely return. Thank you for the bottle of prosecco, it was a lovely added touch!
